I personally quite like removing the 1st harmonic (on synths that allow it) on my low mid layer rather than filtering or eqing it, i find that it seems to allow the sub to fit perfectly underneath and helps make it feel like one whole sound Saves time tweaking the eq as the "cutoff" as it would be if it were filtered moves with the notes seamlessly 😁
Thank you for actually mentioning the phase cancellation! Feel like that is a very overlooked situation in bass music tutorials despite it being so important to know.
I feel like I’m getting close. Love this style. I always figured it taboo to have a modulated sub and then throw a bunch of midrange basses over it. So I was just using pure sub. I guess I always thought that movement was an extra layer. Apparently that is not the case.
I love how fluent you are in the synthesis of sound. The way you link it all up. Great work. I used Cubase, Logic, Wavelab and Reason many years ago. I've wanted Ableton for years, but just keep putting up with fruity loops 😂.
Im excited to dig into the sounds but I’m really curious why you think it’s going to be trending? I realise it’s probably a bit of hyperbole but I’d genuinely love a video on what you think the next trends are and why! :)
It’s because everything has been so loud and in your face for last 3 years. We are going back to a time of restraint. Check out Beatport’s Number 1 track by Critical Impact. Minimal roller sound. Also shouts out to him he used my Gnarly Presets to make that track!
I have made DnB for years, in 2021 I made some Banging minimal DnB but didn't bother releasing because I thought DnB was dead. Your telling Me DnB is about to have a resurgence in 2024?
@@bunningtonhevy Post any content on DnB it will often get zero views or attention, for Me anyway however most of My videos get next to no views anyway thats not saying much.
They did, as not to get it confused with the standalone plugin.. same distortion engine though without the feedback and morphing filters included in the standalone

A 200 Dollar Synth, come on man your killing me😂😂. Is it better than Serum?
Stranjah did you check this song maybe, as you promise on your live with Tyr? Link is left in below comment. Thx!

3:18 reminds me of the formant Z-plane filters from E-MU.
"Cause I know how you like it when it gets moist". You're not wrong Sir.
That was for you naturally ;-)

nice nice 100k. Been watching u for a min. Your vids have always been great help to work along with
You should make a series explaining essential sounds from different genres
Why? He's a full time DnB producer.
Good idea I can do that
I do other styles too
he might be talking about different dnb genres @@ReadySteadyDESTROY

😮
if deep dub was dnb, it would be minimal dnb
It's not a new style at all. Just called different names on different eras.
Minimal doesn't do it for me. I prefer dirtier, more in your face basslines and drums
