    I thought the time interval starts from when the shutter closes not when it opens, so even if the shutter speed is 10 secs if you choose say an interval of only 5 secs the interval will commence from after the 10 secs.

    • @ravenseyeimages
      @ravenseyeimages 4 года назад

      exactly what I thought, leaving a long gap between photos seems unnecessary and will greatly reduce the number of photos taken in a given period. I did a night only time lapse and set the shutter speed to 30 seconds with a 2 or 3 second interval, seemed to work ok. I do the same with my Canon CHDK programs for night lapse

      Hi there,
      Thank so much for the ❤️! I posted a link to a cheap power bank over in my GoPro Power and Charging video. Check out the link for the 25600mAh Portable USB Power Bank. It's less than $30 and it will last way more than just through the night. One tip is to remove the GoPro battery from the camera and just use the power bank to charge your camera through the night. Doing this will ensure that your camera is actually running off of the power bank and not the battery (which will die after a few hours). Have fun! Night lapses are super cool, especially on a clear night.

      On my GoPro 4 Black i have been able to do 10 hours easy on a 10,800mah power bank and it still had plenty left. And that was with a 10 second interval so did a lot of jpgs!

    • @JordanHetrick
      @JordanHetrick  5 лет назад

      I used a Tylt power bank with 5,200 mAh. The camera doesn't use as much battery in Night Lapse Photo Mode as it does in Video Mode so you can record these extended day-to-night time lapses easily.
