@@GadgetryTechQuestion for you good sir, I am wanting a headset that sounds pretty good but also has a good mic. have the Audeze Maxwell but it's mic sucks and it's not the easiest to transport. I'm looking at the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro and the Asus Rog Delta 2. Other suggestions are welcome. Which one of those two do you prefer? Are there any others I should be considering? Thanks! Everyone's suggestions are welcome.

Been using this headset for the last month and loving it, thanks to your review!! Of note, the latest firmware update seems to have provided some noticable improvements to Mic Sidetone. To me, it's much more usable and doesn't have that same "boxy / dead / muffled " effect when I initially tried it. It still could use a little bit more work, but it's in a much better state now compared to my original impressions when I first plugged in the headset.
All in all -- this has become quite the headset package that I really, really like!

I just got this headset yesterday and this might just be endgame for me as far as wireless sets go. It us SUPER comfy, sounds awesome with the suggestions in the video and I've had no complaints about the mic even from my pickiest friend.
It's kinda jank but because there's simultaneous bluetooth (if your computer has bluetooth capabilities) you can set the usb c dongle as the main sound device, connect the bluetooth to the pc and set that to communications and that gives you a way to change the sound levels between game and chat right on the headset. Of course running discord on your phone is an option as well if you're doing wacky things like that.

The argument of going the separate mic, dac, and headphones is starting to be less persuasive these days. Lots of headsets that are very well rounded and sound great with music are coming out these days. The benefit of less cables and junk on my desk is making me lean towards something like this.

@@Andoheim I'm not saying the maxwell is bad, but these absolutely blew me away and the maxwell didn't. And selling points over the maxwell of extra sport earpads and extremely light weight and comfortable. It's hard to explain how amazing these are until you try them. The ear cups are VERY deep and I find that it makes the audio sound like a space around you because you're pulled far from the drivers. Mine might be extremely well driver matched, but these things sound unreal. The audio tuning out of the box on mine is far and above any other headset in the range. I'd say give them a shot.

Hey man thanks for the video just bought this headset based on your recommendation and was playing through sound eq for mw3
Asked chatgpt for eq settings and got this back
    Recommended EQ Adjustments:
    Bass (20-200 Hz): -3 dB
Reducing bass will help prevent it from overpowering higher frequencies.
    Midrange (200 Hz - 1 kHz): +2 dB
A slight boost to this range can improve clarity for essential sounds.
    Upper Midrange (1 kHz - 4 kHz): +6 dB
This range is critical for footsteps and environmental sounds. Boosting it significantly helps with clarity.
    Treble (4 kHz - 10 kHz): +3 dB
Enhancing treble adds detail to sounds, further helping with sound detection.
They dont go with what you explained in the video
Im not an expert just seeking help to better tune my headset and thanks in advance

These are superb. Thanks for reviewing them Joe. Have boosted the mods a fraction and now these are perfect for my daily work and occasional gaming setup.
It’s a shame they don’t have Xbox wireless compatibility and I’m not a fan of the software.
Not yet decided on the pads I like best. Not really a sports weave fan (didn’t like it on SteelSeries either - doesn’t seem to be rigid enough or provide enough ‘grip’). Hasn’t put me off these though. Sound exceeded expectations and mic is great also.
Also much prefer them to the Maxwell I had for fps gaming.

I was on the hunt for a new wireless gaming headset and tested a few, including the Arctis Nova 7X/Pro, Blackshark V2 Pro, Audeze Maxwell, and Turtle Beach 700 Gen 3. Eventually, I settled on the Delta II. It’s the only headset that offers great sound quality (comparable to the Maxwell) while delivering the feature set I expect from a high-end gaming headset in 2024. There’s not a single category where it falls short-sound, comfort, and features are all excellent. While it may not be the absolute best in any one category, it comes impressively close across the board.
Sure, the Maxwell sounds slightly better, but it lacks simultaneous Bluetooth/2.4GHz connectivity, is ridiculously heavy, and is even beaten in battery life. The Arctis Nova Pro has a similar feature set and hot-swappable batteries, but in my opinion, its sound, mic, and comfort are inferior. And honestly, who needs hot-swappable batteries when the battery lasts up to 120 hours?
The Blackshark V2 Pro may have a marginally better mic, but it’s worse in every other aspect. The Stealth 700 Gen 3 offers multiplatform support, but in every other respect, it’s inferior to the Delta II. When I bought the stealth 700 gen 3, the setup process was so clunky that it was a dealbreaker from the start. How hard is it to make a headset plug-and-play?
Overall, the Delta II is the complete package-except for the Armory Crate software, which is still a piece of junk.
Thanks for the great content joe!

Do you think it is better or worse than beyerydnamic mmx 200 as im moving from an arctis 5 and want a wireless option. Im worried of the sound quality and build quality of the asus rog delta 2.

    • @Moerkable
      @Moerkable 3 месяца назад

@@waterkey2712 I completly understand your worries because most of asus' peripherals are really bad or at best mediocre. But the Delta II is the exception to the rule imo. The build quality is very good. They somehow managed to build the entire frame out of metal while staying incredible light. Both the leatherette and fabric earcushions are very good as well. And overall comfort is excellent. Maybe the cushions for the headrest could be a bit thicker, but given the light weight it isn't a problem for me so far.
Soundquality is very good out of the box, but for my personal taste little flat. A few minor adjustments in the eq made it perfect.
I also really liked how seamless the set up was compared to the stealth 700 gen. Just plug them in and boom windows recognized them. Same goes bluetooth on my smartphone.
I had my eyes on the mmx200 as well but the lack of EQ and simultaneously bluetooth kind of killed it for me.

@@GadgetryTech So i got mine today, and i used squiglink and eq them with SS sonar and to my amazement i actually prefer the Asus tune over harmon and i never say this! I can hear foot steps better and some sounds like guns just sound better. My question to you is do you prefer Asus compressor or volume boost in sonar? seems like they do the same thing but sonar gets much louder....what do you prefer or think is more accurate? i like this headset a lot even with the leather ear cups, they don't get as spicy as the TB stealth pro, i still think the stealth pro is over all louder, but the delta 2 seems to be over all better rounded and more comfortable. This is a very good headset for those that dont want to fiddle with any settings, just plug and play and will have a great experience!

I have the Delta II and the Blackshark V2 Pro (2023)
Even the Delta II won't have the same bass as Blackshark out of the box. But using the bass booster and equalizer I got about the same sound profile as the blackshark. The microphone is also comparable to the blackshark
The Delta II shines in the fact I can play both bluetooth and 2.4 ghz simultaneously. Which is good for mobile gamers, for everyone else I would probably just keep the blackshark.

    Hello!
I recently built a new gaming PC and now I´m looking for an update regarding a good headset.
    I´m currently thinking about:
Asus ROG Delta II (currently € 216,-)
    Audeze Maxwell (currently € 298,-)
Turtle Beach Stealth Pro (currently € 239,-)
which are all good deals in my opinion.
I mostly play Mobas or RPGs, sometimes also FPS games and I am in Discord with my friends most of the time - but I also love to listen to music.
I didn´t try any of the headsets, I just watched several videos and read much about wireless headsets.
The Delta II seems interesting due to the possibility to change the volume of the 2.4 GHz connection on one side of the headphones and the volume of the bluetooth connection on the other.
The further it seems to have a pretty good mic and also a very good overall rating.
Before the Delta 2 I had the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro 2023 in mind, but the Delta II seems (for me, personally) to be better generally.
The Audeze Maxwell seems to me as the headset with the best sound (In this case I can not compare it f.e. with the Delta II). For me the microphone didn´t sound so good + I read about cases where the headset broke.
The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro seems also to be a good overall headset with good ratings, but the controls don´t seem to be so smooth like f.e. the Delta 2, and also the sound of microphone didn´t sound so clear to me. But regarding reviews the sound also is very good of this headset.
Please let me know if you have other suggestions/meanings - I really would appreciate your opinion 🙂
Thank you and greetings from Austria!

I like a lot of the features on the Delta II more, and the firmware seems to be more reliable. Yes, it brings more volume and deeper bass - even at level 0 actually - but when I activate this, all sounds have a VERY slight ‘undertone’. Difficult to describe - as if there is a slight ‘wind’ behind the notes.

Also I have found that with both the included cushion options, the clamp force is too low and the headset slightly shifts around, and there are no aftermarket cushions for this thing I believe.
