Hi Graeme, I was curious about that wooden boat since Id seen your Yellow Special was sold - found the rental site with details and WOW thats one helluvan expensive few hours afloat. No doubt cheaper than ownerdrivering, with maintenance insurance and harbour dues - but even so a £ton for a few hours afloat seems really excessive, old boat or not.
You don't need to consider yourself a pro in the fishing world Graeme, but I do, and it's a great pleasure to watch you enjoy your craft. Thanks again for taking us out with you!
Not a sympathy comment but my mental health has been shot to bits the past few months. Discovering Graham's float fishing videos got me out of a dark patch and got me into fishing. The relaxation of sitting watching a float waiting for a bite done me wonders. Do I now need to buy a boat? haha thanks graham, another great video.
Pleased the films help,we get quite a few comments like yours so you are not alone..Stress levels are probably at an all-time high for everyone...but if you want to avoid even more stress levels then maybe put buying the boat on the backburner for a while, especially if you think of towing it !!!!..There is something fascinating about watching a float though.
I’ve had some dark times through my life, and fishing has been a great medicine for me. Gives you something to focus on, helps ease your troubles, A bit of peace on your own, Or a day shared with a friend,
Go for a good fishing kayak. They are easy to transport and a hell of a lot cheaper in all aspects than a boat. I'm really happy that your feeling better
Its been a long held dream of mine that my son would want to accompany me fishing one day, the same way i dearly loved fishing with my dad, my son is severely autistic so i thought it would never happen but after watching a few of your wonderful videos he decided to try it and it was magical, a lovely carp on his 1st outing. Thank you Graham. ❤
Great session, Graeme, which turned into a great video! Don't stop doing what you're doing, like you even could, you make RUclips an absolute pleasure, Sir! Just a shame Smith has to tag along and ruin everything! Honestly, that boy!!!
Greetings from East Tennessee Graeme. Your videos are Totally Awesome to say the least. Very informative and very entertaining with some clever humor scattered throughout. Just wanted to say hi and say thank you for all the time you've invested to bring all this joy to the masses. Kudos to you my friend. 👍
Great video as always Graeame. Fished off Beer on Saturday and had a great session. Black Bream, Gurnard, Mackerel, Conger, Dogs, Shad (blooming things), and Thorn backs. Great mix of fish. We ( 6 of us) caught some very big Mackerel which is great to see. They disappeared for quite some years as you know. I mainly used a 3 flapper rig with slithers of fresh Mackerel. Even had a small Conger on the bottom hook lol. Some of the other lads were bottom fishing, hence the Ray and Dogs. Tight lines 🎣
Learned a lot from you sir! Inspired by yours "man alone" videos I bought a beautiful 18ft Shetland F4 boat 5 years back and fish a lot in Poole area! Nothing beats that hobby!!! Love your videos, thanks!!!!
@@TAFishing Not as much as I wished but trying to go out if weather/job allows. As you know well - there's nothing better than being out on the sea on your own boat. Thanks again!!!
by far my fav vids when you fish out of beer as takes me back when i was a kid fishing from there 45 years ago. same boat again your using must be lucky. cheers buddy.
Great trip out Graham Certainly got your money monies worth out that trip. Certainly not a dull moment with all those rods going . Well done chap .love it 👍👍👍👍
Well the fish were certainly enjoying the Pullen Gourmet kitchen today, well done Graeme, I don't know how you managed so many rods, I have trouble with 2 most of the time.
It is certainly the place for a fish fest that's for sure. From rocks, beach or boat. The Yellowfin Tuna in the evenings over the banks was ridiculous...All closed now I believe. And I sort of understand it as it was a very special place.
@@TAFishing it’s certainly is , had the worst golf course in the world apparently, played over lava flow. Did you get to visit green mountain? Completely different from most of the barren landscape, all bamboo and ginger forests.
In the 90's I caught Gar every summer down Weymouth pleasure and stone piers, haven't seen Gar in years down here these days... Mackerel are in but no Gar that I've seen
Its hard work on the Tench at the moment..Baiting up but no results !!..Last overnighter was a total blank and there were 6 fishing...all got nothing ..hard to believe but got to take it on the chin. Not as hard as chopping up big trout for shark chum though...
That's good to see those old wooden boats still being hired out at Beer. Me and a friend hired those boats out on holiday in the early 80's when we was about 12 or 13....I'm 50 now, so i loved seeing those again. I remember the old fella that hired us the boat on the beach said don't go near the cliffs because it's shallow. We was just kids so it was naturally the first place we went🙂! We got the prop wrapped up with weed and it took forever to get back...the old fella was not happy and had a proper rip into us when we got back. I think they had a little inboard single cylinder Lister engine in them. The boats had some rope and crab lines and a few pieces of mackerel in them ready to go.....well worth a visit and i might go again myself now i know they are still there. They were about £5 for an hour back then, i bet they are nearer £40 or £50 for an hour now....they probably don't hire them to 13 year old kids anymore either. Lol!
Thank you Mr Graeme sir that was fantastic enjoyable watching you do your masterful craft. Can’t wait for the next one! May i please ask how much it cost now to rent that old but brilliant boat? Thanks
I’m so annoyed! I bet you where out on that boat when I was out on my kayak! 😂 I shoulda paddled over to ya 😂 also Graeme, last year in July I believe it was, hammerheads where spotted in beer
