    You can sell yourself short if you want but you are one hell of a fisherman John, ive never seen anyone catch a shark like that before, im sure others have hand lined them in but not after snapping off and steaming after the gear like that, then snapping the reel handle which would have been my queue to get going on home, soon as the bad luck starts to mount up thats it for me, that was a crazy session and you deserved those fish more than any ive seen you land before, also proof that your prepping and a tidy work space etiquette means you can get out of the crap when it all kicks off, that was amazing John, well done and thanks for sharing that with us all

    • @TheFishLocker
      @TheFishLocker  Год назад +5

      I hoped that it showed that so I am really glad to hear it. By being organised it allows you to adapt to things that arise. The broken rods and reel handle were just bad luck and my own doing. It happens. Very glad to get the fish back. 😊👍🏻🦈

    You work so hard at your channel John. So not sure how many days ago with editing etc, this was. I'm down at the moment, and the weather has been mad and wild! You've been out there in really quite nasty conditions, to do what you love doing. But, probably the bigger part is to bring to your subscribers more content and earn a living. I am familiar with the area, and it's not a whole bag of fun to be doing what you are doing. Thank you for all the input, work, risks you take, to produce something for your subscribers to enjoy in the comfort and safety of their homes.

    Hey Dude!
    I'm in Greece on hols and you inspired me to bring a rod to shore fish for small species after your holiday videos.
    I've been researching poisonous fish so I don't get caught out with spines.
    I caught three fish yesterday on bread including a Salema Porgy. I read they can be toxic to eat and have been known to give LSD style trips. Pretty rare for that to happen I reckon!
    Thanks for all the inspiration. I'm not sure I'll be up to sharks but love watching you do it.
    Thanks again

    Dramamine session for viewers. I used to use a Milbro commander rod for heavy conger fishing. Had guides lined with red glass. Had to treat them with extra care all the time. cracked a few. i like the Alconite guides now on the rods I build and never had an issue with them. Look forward to another sharking session. Maybe pick up another Blue Fin?

    Loved the nights video John, Sod’s law you have those sort of days every so often, things go pear shaped & you just have to deal with it on the day. First time I’ve ever seen a shark hand lined in so well done mate😅 l was admiring the new reel, but not too sure now. What I liked most was the fact you left everything in including the mishaps, some folk only seem to show the good bits and we all know some days are not plain sailing, so thanks for another great nights viewing.👏👏👏👍
