- This is a lecture that I gave at UKM on the 21st of May 2024. As the session was NOT recorded, I have done a new video talking about the issues of that day and explaining the same slides. The talk calls for a total revamp of academics' KPI in order to reset the country to change because our politicians are either trapped or uninterested to change while our religious clerics divide our communities into enemies of each other. Coupled with an uncontrolled media and social media we are all heading for certain destruction if some things do not change.

Agreed... Our PMX also frequently stresses on compassion & empathy... The lack of empathy, the display of high levels of entitlement, increasing display of contempt/hate & grandiosity are all clear narcissistic/Psychopathic traits 😅

I feel the universities in Malaysia are not the same as the ones abroad because our education have not been revamped in libe with the current education standards overseas. I have long been giving my opinion & suggestion to revamp the education but have fallen on deaf ears. I hope the current education minister & minister of higher learning institutions will buck up to make changes to our education. Let's start somewhere or it will be left unattended. Implementing English as the medium of instruction must be initiated because English is universally spoken & most reference books are written in English. Speaking English does not make us any less being not be speaking in our mother tongue. Please accept English as a language to obtain knowledge & be a learned person. Let's pray that our education be changed to having English as the medium of instruction.
I had expected that when the Malays attain middle class status they will be more open minded.
Alas, it's not gonna happen.

The elephant in the room is the education policy.
When education policy for tertiary education does not respect meritocracy but cater to a particular community only.
How can there be integration and respect between races.
Racism in the name of social contract is the highest form of corruption in tertiary institutions.
Breeding ground for generations of racist.
As long as meritocracy is not respected humanity is not respected.
I know you will be hated by your own people but thank you for taking a big leap and creating awareness
If the Head of the University is not a good example but tells the students to do something and encourageing the students don't you think he shouldn't be dismissed immediately so that the other Universities don't do the same.

We have 3R's that should not be argued about. And then at least 2 of them are tearing the future apart.
The facts are that race does exist other than as a term used to differentiate groups. For example town people (=smart) from kampong (=stupid) or Arabs (good) from Jews (evil).
The fact is that town people come from the kampong and both Jews and Arabs are Abrahams children.
The fact is that we (homo sapiens) all come from a place in africa as a result of incorrectly transferred genes. Chinese, matsalehs, Indians,, Jews, all have the same ancestor.
Races like neanderthals and java man are no more.
As far as the 2nd R it belongs to the private sector and should stay so. Nobody discusses private issues publicly, nobody will talk about the shape of their nose or crooked teeth.
So why is the choice of socks such an issue. It is of no importance at all, can be ugly, have holes or even smelly. But should an unsightly sock tear the country apart? Trow away the sock or look the other way.
I would think the 3R's should temporary be totally removed from the political the sphere until society has grown up to handle the issues.
When this older Muslim gentleman is more open, compassionate and tolerant than the younger Muslims, it just so sad.

I don't understand why are people so angry over a small issues but when a issue is big it's swept away under the carpet which l am seeing the reasonly.
Isn't it heart breaking and sad that we are cultivating young people to such extend. For someone having obtain high education but only can follow without ability to analyse their surroundings properly plus without knowledge about general things like tax-payers hard earner thats giving them all their privileges & not something from the sky.

Philosophy of education of Malaysia is JERI (Jasmani, Emosi, Rohani dan Intelek). This video really emphasizes the rohani (spirituality). Among nonmhslim students, rohani is taught in Pendidikan Moral. In some universities, students of technical courses are required to.attend one of humanity courses but no exam.

Harapan Government should appoint Prof as their Technical Adviser esp. for the education Ministry.
The nation urgently needs Prof as adviser to set the nation plus the young generations on the right path to proper thinking & understanding of things & happenings.
