I cannot get over how affordable the food is! Back in my early 20’s when I was on a very tight budget, food that good for those prices would’ve been amazing 😍

For anyone who’s wondering, the 3rd place he went to is called Corner 28 -The Roast, 5124 8th Ave Brooklyn, NY 11220. My dad loves that place and always gets the 3 treasure rice lol
First off I just want to say thank you for representing part of Brooklyn's Chinatown, or as we simply call it, 8th avenue. There are so many delicacies and delicious snacks/meals around here that so many people overlook. As a result, there are a lot less foreigners near 8th avenue, which is a shame in regards to how much goodies they are missing out on! Here are some of my recommendations about little hole in the walls that most people often overlook: Meet Rice on 60th between 8th and 7th avenue, which has an amazing fatty beef and spicy fungi over rice as well as crossing bridge noodles; there's a great yunnan crossing bridge noodle on 59th between 8th and 7th avenue that is closer to 7th avenue, which has the most flavorable crossing bridge noodle that includes chicken wing, spam, corn, and many more! There are also so many Chinese skewer places that definitely deserves a mention for Brooklyn cheap eats. YiFang Taiwan Fruit Tea also has a mango pomelo drink that is amazing! Would love to bring you around to some of my favorites if you're ever around again. Thank you for helping these little small businesses and for standing up for us Asians! Please continue to be amazing.
LOL. My grandmother would chop off the florets from (western) broccoli and throw them out. She'd only cook and eat the stems. Nary a floret ever made it to the dinner table! My family (Cantonese) has been in Brooklyn for nearly 100 years. Brooklyn Chinatown is not the first Chinatown in NYC, but nowadays, it's definitely the REAL DEAL. Thank you for coming!
In case anyone goes to Yunan Flavor Garden the noodle dish with the minced meat and peanuts is the cold noodle dish not the crossing bridge noodles! It’s amazing and also one of my favorites in all of NYC. You can also ask for extra peanuts, cilantro, and crispy meat(tripe)!
Best egg tarts in the world are Portuguese pasteis de nata. Nothing beats them! And the crunch of that bread in your lamb sandwich was like a symphony to my ears! Best wishes for your new year and safe travels!

Mikey first time I’ve actually eaten somewhere you have! And I can’t believe you did not know about that shop. The pork is so good we ate it in the park and it is a HUGE portion! 😋🤩
