    thanks for the review. I recently bought this drill drawing an offer and recommend. It is powerful and lightweight. I used for drilling in concrete
    and using the appropriate bits fulfills its mission.

    For a DIY drill the PSB 1800 Li2 (the green version) also performs superbly and mine came with two 2.0ah batteries for just £79 on an offer from B&Q. its rattled through a large decking project, a loft flooring and a fitted kitchen without skipping a beat... :) Its really light and comfortable too. Highly recommended !

    I got the (Green DIY) PSB 1080 Li2 with 2 x 2.0 ah batteries on offer for £69.95 -10% at the beginning of the year. Amazing battery life and excellent torque. Its built a large garden decking, a new kitchen and many other smaller jobs even drilling in Concrete.And survived few drops!!... A brilliant piece of kit.

    great vid joe, I have the same drill, bought it bare as I had batteries. if your looking to bulid up a collection of same brand tools I cant recommend bosch enough. Working as a builder my tools get hammered, dropped my impact driver from the ridge down two stories on to concrete and it didn't even flinch. Also can be picked up a lot cheaper than say dewalt or Makita.

    Ive had a couple of these as secondary backup drills. They're not bad for the money. Although dislike the way the L.E.D, does not stay lit a few seconds longer after releasing the trigger, also the chuck looses its grip on occasions. Theres also the issue for people who are left handed and fit the belt hook on the right hand side of the drill because it wont fit in the case and allow the lid to close.

    • @AverageJoesJoinery
      @AverageJoesJoinery  5 лет назад

      They’re a strong option for sure. I didnt have any issues with the chuck on mine. Hadnt thought of the belt clip not fitting in its case. Im work out of a shed so my tool cases arent ever used haha

    How many hours does the battery last?

  • @tekknorat
    @tekknorat 8 лет назад

    Yes, one question. While the tool is absolutely amazing and for the great price deal it was on Screwfix it's lifetime value, but the problem is, or maybe it's not a problem and is supposed to be so, the metal ring at the very tip of the chuck, it's lose, and it spins around and makes bell noises, does it have to be so? Thanks for the review Joe and thanks in advance for the answer to my question.

    • @tekknorat
      @tekknorat 8 лет назад

      ***** But yours was spinning free too? I'm neither sure why is that, if that is such a feature, I just need to know if it's broken or fine like that. Thanks.

      Jailhouse Bradley I've just brought one of these haven't used it yet however my old dewalt had a spinning ring, I found it useful to hold as a depth gauge when drilling

    • @StewFairweather
      @StewFairweather 7 лет назад

      Sorry, I know your comment is a year old but just in case anyone else is curious reading your comment, the free-to-move ring at the end of the chuck is to prevent damage to your work-piece in case of over drilling. If you're drilling right through a piece of wood say, as your bit breaks through the other side of the wood, your drill can sometimes bump the surface of the wood. The free moving ring protects the surface from the spinning chuck making marks.

    Less than 5 ah are for people who use their drill once or twice a month.
