The original was so weak it made "How Bad Can I Be?" look like "Hellfire". This one has a mystical, dark quality to it that definitely reminds me of the classics while straight-up enhancing the story. Great job!

1:44 Asha offering to sell herself into servitude is SO twisted and perfect, considering how terrible we’ve seen Cinderella be treated. For a Disney anniversary movie, that would be a great homage that actually has narrative precedent and substance.
For the backing track. I would highly recommend on a traditional orchestral sound. That is why “Hellfire” sounds so convincing in addition to the lyrics. Rhythmic and textured strings and woodwind, the brass and percussion can be striking and accenting with a small amount of synths. I also listened to the Illuminations: Reflections of Earth soundtrack for inspiration. Have a listen to the “Chaos” opening. Having a Minor key in music usually associated with negative and neutral emotions.
Oh, absolutely, I completely agree-it KILLS me that I only have access to GarageBand sounds right now 😭 BUT I’m working on changing that. I really want to play with the brass-got some fun ideas.

My wish version is that there's a family connection (between Asha's family and King Magnífico/Queen Amaya) but they don't know that they are related until the film events (although grandpa might known or at least knew at one point. Maybe dad too if he is important to the story details). Grandpa or dad walked out on the royal family and settled down in peasant lifestyle. Sakina herself might not even knew that she married royalty or that her daughter is one possible choice to the throne. In other words, she battle with long lost evil uncle and evil aunt. Maybe have the friends eventually help her take over the kingdom? According to someone online the starboy's name was supposedly going to be Earendel. If you look up the name it means "the morning star" or "the dawn." I could see two different but interesting romantic relationships here. I feel that Earendel is the more carefree and confident one while Asha is shy but intelligent. However, when things goes wrong their roles kinda switch a bit. Earendel reveals to actually have a wise side underneath his cockiness and he kinda help Asha be more confident in herself. The two actually have something in common which is that both of them are family oriented but the different is that Asha also cares about her friends and community. Seeing this kinda help Earendel open up his heart more toward to total strangers. As for Magnifico and Amaya, I do not wish for some kind of betrayal between them. They are both completely confident and comfortable about their relationship. They're the only ones who relies on each other so that show lot of trust in one another. They are kinda like Gomez/Morticia or Clyde/Bonnie. They will fight and they will die together. It would be interesting to have a broken family only they don't know they are related but it's not the usual type of you would find such as Tangled or Lion King. Asha actually grow up with a happy childhood. She have fond memories of her dead dad, is doted by her mom and grandpa and have bunch of good friends. But despite having a bookish and shy personality when she find out that her kingdom is in danger, she find herself on a spiritual journey that will test her more than she knew about herself. As for why I think the family connection would be a interesting twist is that here Asha think she is simply fighting evil royals and then in the end she find out that she is actually related to them. Kinda would makes her conflicted on both what to do and how to handle this. Would makes it kinda like a test whether if she going to go ahead and willingly to destroyed them in order to protect others in the kingdom, her grandpa and mom or not.

I love the detail that she offered her mothers wedding ring for it, imagine how heartbreaking it would be to give up such an important symbol of a loved one that passed away, that one line alone made me feel more emotions than the entirety of Wish. Amazing work!❤❤❤❤
i absolutely how good this works and also how mean it is by the villains but it also gives asha more of a motive and more risk and reward so it impacts the actual story soooo much more and actually gives weight to it ! again its both disheartening seeing how much Disney has shit the bed on this considering it was supposed to be the thing that Celebrated their centerury mark aniversery but at the same time it gives me soooo much hope seeing such talented people like yourself re writing the story and making it something actually worth watching and enjoying =D

Btw, this definitely sounds like the cumulation of all Disney animated movies that leads to this movie and their most evil, scary, powerful villain to date that makes us feel even more on the edge of our seats to see the hero defeating this villain. The beats really makes it sounds so sinister and evil. Of course, maybe it could improve with an orchestra (Including violin), maybe using old Spain or North African inspired tune, but hopefully, it keeps the sinister tone of this.
I think a really good idea would be doing a reprise once they’re beaten or imprisoned. Then Asha asks if they have any last words before they’re taken away and start to sing an apology for everything they’ve done. Then after a long pause they both say “NOT!” And then sing about how they both don’t regret anything, that still have each other, how they’ll find a way to come back, and they’ll make her sorry. And then they’re taken away as they laugh to themselves

If the movie executed the original concept well, they would’ve earned a beautiful fandom. Instead, they made one so vapid that they stumbled ass-backward into a fandom anyway.

I admire those who dislike the movie but still express their discontent in artistic ways xD I genuinely appreciate the lyrics of the song, even though the rhythm is quite simple. I believe with a little more refinement, it could be excellent! However, by portraying these two villains in such a simplistic manner, it limits the opportunity for narrative depth, particularly with Magnífico. He could have been more than just a straightforward bad guy, perhaps a character with complexities beyond the surface of "I'M BAD AND I DON'T WANT TO HELP A SICK OLD MAN". Maybe it will be like one of the eliminated ideas and he will eat wishes?
It would be so cool if this is the moment afterwards where Asha wishes on the star and then that’s how she meets Star Boy. Oml I can imagine it now her gut wrenching want song and then wishing on the star for her grandpa to be healed and then..there’s Star Boy

I think a cool addtion to the music would be more prominent violin/just straight up orchestra when the king/queen sing, and maybe flute playing while Alicia sings? It would show Magnifico and Amaya's pompousness as well as Alicia's innocence through the music, which is pretty awesome

i absolutely how good this works and also how mean it is by the villains but it also gives asha more of a motive and more risk and reward so it impacts the actual story soooo much more and actually gives weight to it ! again its both disheartening seeing how much Disney has shit the bed on this considering it was supposed to be the thing that Celebrated their centerury mark aniversery but at the same time it gives me soooo much hope seeing such talented people like yourself re writing the story and making it something actually worth watching and enjoying =D

Btw, this definitely sounds like the cumulation of all Disney animated movies that leads to this movie and their most evil, scary, powerful villain to date that makes us feel even more on the edge of our seats to see the hero defeating this villain. The beats really makes it sounds so sinister and evil. Of course, maybe it could improve with an orchestra (Including violin), maybe using old Spain or North African inspired tune, but hopefully, it keeps the sinister tone of this.

These Lyrics are really impressive
I think a really good idea would be doing a reprise once they’re beaten or imprisoned. Then Asha asks if they have any last words before they’re taken away and start to sing an apology for everything they’ve done. Then after a long pause they both say “NOT!” And then sing about how they both don’t regret anything, that still have each other, how they’ll find a way to come back, and they’ll make her sorry. And then they’re taken away as they laugh to themselves

I genuinely appreciate the lyrics of the song, even though the rhythm is quite simple. I believe with a little more refinement, it could be excellent! However, by portraying these two villains in such a simplistic manner, it limits the opportunity for narrative depth, particularly with Magnífico. He could have been more than just a straightforward bad guy, perhaps a character with complexities beyond the surface of "I'M BAD AND I DON'T WANT TO HELP A SICK OLD MAN".
Maybe it will be like one of the eliminated ideas and he will eat wishes?
