Love the fact that Egon asks Winston about the number on the train in spite of Winston still trying to recover from that terrifying experience just to say "Sorry I missed it"
You sort of made me think of something, though with the first movie. Interestingly enough, I've read that in an earlier draft of the first movie, it was actually Winston who was supposed to get slimed by Slimer and not Peter. Of course, in later rewrites he joins the team a little later. Which does make me wonder if it'd have been Winston to have the pseudo-"antagonistic" relationship with Slimer in the cartoon instead of Peter had the original idea happened now I think about it.
The fact it didn’t echo back immediately is enough to make your hair stand up. And then Winstons name being called out as the smile quickly runs from his face is terrifying and hilarious.
If you.look closely you can see Harold Ramis holding back a laugh when Dan Akroyd says "As big as beavers!" These guys had a great sense of humor and awesome chemistry. RIP Egon.
Beavers? Pfff. Moscow subway rats are as big as dogs. You can't see them often because they are normally used for power production: rats are kept in special rotating cages that are connected to generators. They are fed with people who have not left the subway territory by the closing times. Normally these rats are never let out of the cages, but occasionally they escape, and that could be problematic since they have developed a taste for human flesh.

I always thought it was this scene that showed GB2 was actually brilliantly written, and was more comedy horror than the first one. You go from a genuinely scarry (if you where a child) moment to something that turns the horror into comedy without pandering to the intended audience. Very very clever and a credit to the cast for playing it so straight.

He is still my favorite Villain of the series. Without the town backing them up and the symbol of freedom, they wouldn’t have beaten him! Gozer is fantastic but nothing will ever top Vigo and the slime for me.
Winston:"Sorry....I missed it." Classic!
2:42 LOL 😂 "Sorry. I missed it."
Well Winston Guess you really missed is "Trackxes"😆 Hahahahaha
That long, drawn out WINSTON is my favorite part of this movie.
This movie is such a classic.
I was 8 when this came out, and I saw it in the theater. When that voice says Winston's name back, I was legitimately scared.
2:08 Good acting by Ernie Hudson.
2:14 After this, I wouldn't be surprised that there would be a brown trail trailing behind Winston.

To quote the Nostalgia Critic,
"A FAAAMILY PICTURE!"
That locomotive is based on the General from the Great Locomotive Chase of the Civil War in 1862
Yep, far from 1920, I know this as a train expert.
Wait did they scrapped on 1960?
Or 1920
This is my favorite scene in the whole series. It's just a perfect blend of really creepy (WiIiiinNnStoOoN, LOL), and funny. I get my kids all amped up by calling their names in a similar tone. They go nuts! LOL
Best scene in this whole movie.
These movies are amongst my favorites
This scene with Winston is CLASSIC, sorry I missed it, and his hair!
This is my favorite scene from this movie.
I am surprised that they weren’t carrying their Proton Packs, if I were them I wouldn’t leave home without it.
Those suckers are *heavy*. That and the radiation exposure. Minimize it as much as possible.
ALSO...
For the actors there were fake Proton Packs and fake fake Proton Packs.
The fake fake ones were much lighter and the fake ones weren't needed if the scene didn't show them being used.
@@jsl151850b That would be a good story in the a third movie that the packs was claimed by the government for being nuclear accelerators and a danger to the public. The Ghostbusters would have to find a way to get their packs back.
@@hamhockbeans it's too bad that they never did come up with a 3rd movie off of the 1980s original movie and think about that themselves.
The best. I mean, really?! Ghost painting, ghost train, a baby, The Statue of friggin Liberty, Cheech Marin and Bobby Brown rounding it all out? The best.
2:14 GHOST TRAIN COMING
The first movie is an all-time classic, the second one is an underrated gem, Afterlife is a worthy conclusion, the reboot one …don’t remember it exists…
There was a reboot? I don’t recall any reboot. I just remember some movie about a bunch of unfunny women.
I saw Ghosbusters 2 before part 1 and I love them both equally.
Legitimately terrifying.
Wonder what the passengers thought seeing Winston pass through their cars.
Maybe they thought that he was a ghost on the locomotive
1920 New York? If they were fully sentient or whatever?
“Get that n***** out of here!” Would likely be the prevailing attitude.
@@Mourtzouphlos240 I was thinking the exact same thing.
Winston's face is fantastic when the ghost train shoots through him.
This reminds me of a dream I once had. So I had a dream that I was exploring a dark tunnel and then eventually, I got lost and was scared and wandering around trying to find my way out, then eventually, I saw light at the end of the tunnel so I felt relieved and started running towards it, then I realized the light was coming closer and closer and I started hearing rumbling and then a train horn, and I realized, that it was actually a train. I screamed and started running away, but the train was too fast and ran me over then I woke up.
That is one messed up dream you have
And then you wrote the screenplay to Ghostbusters II? 😁
Oh man I love this moment so much
The look on rays face When they first hear the train lolol.
Imagine Ghosts who on the train, thinking "Why is this black man screaming at?" While Winton is hoping to get new pairs of pants for him. 😂😂
that scared the hell out of me
There was no new york central city of Albany train that derailed causing fatalities. But a subway train of the new york city subway BMT Brighton line derailed under Wilink Plaza near Brooklyn's botanic garden on 1918/11/01 causing at least 93 fatalities and over 250 injuries.
Thank you for making my childhood better😭
I loved both movies equally. They where both awesome in their own way.
Loved this one. The severed heads remind me of old zombie movies
I like how Egon gets all up close and personal with one of the heads!
Probably he trying to identify one of them lol 🤣😆
I love the ending scene hilarious 😂
Winston is my favorite ghostbuster!
Over 20+ years later and this scene still makes me laugh and puts a smile on my face.
That scene with the Ghost Train always gets me.
I can relate to the character Winston, a week ago today i heard a voice say my name and nothing else happened.
This scene scared the HELL out of me as a kid.

Egon: "Did you catch the number on the locomotive?"
Winston; "Sorry...I missed it!"
C L A S S I C !
Me encanta la cara de Egon cuando de acerca en tren😂😂
Esta escena me gusta witson witson jejejejeje
This is such an underrated film. I love this movie.
This scene is scary and funny at the same time
