I was an Army Brat. I went to basic in 1994 and my dad told me two things not to do in basic. I listen to one advice. 1) Don’t Volunteer for anything. (Don’t know what you would be doing) 2) Don’t tell Drills you were an Army brat. I didn’t listen to the Army brat. Told my drill one night during CQ my dad was an E7 AIT instructor. Next day I got smoked in front of platoon. Lesson learned but I had fun at basic though
