Dude, you give me hope, you’re so high level at what you do yet make it easy for us to learn. This is straight dope. Followed and subscribed and liked!
TRUE STORY CHEERS !
Que gran clase de sonido Yan Gracias!!
When you decide and say "ok i am okay with this sound and i am gonna stop turning knob for this sound and lets move on to the next step" ? Because every turning knobs opens a new probabilites in mind and body always tend to dance with every new sound. And if you are not newbie for dancefloor and producing music you can feel that you can turn actually every sound to the dancable material.
there are no rules. Use the knobs for automation and change your sound during the track
Basically I stop when a sound/idea makes me dance and feels fresh, then I fine-tune it till I'm happy and start playing with modulations.
It can, of course, go on forever, so a decision needs to be made, with every instrument. It gets easier with time 🙃
One trick I use is if I like something but also like what’s happening with more knob twiddling, I save the first thing I liked, then twiddle and save multiple new versions. Then I have new sounds for other projects, or I can experiment by replacing the original with something I think might be better afterward, if I want.
It forces me to have a decision point for the song, and separate the experimenting with sound design out away from being related to the song, so that process doesn’t hold the song back. When I’m done experimenting, I just go back to the song with the original idea I liked and move onto another part.
Don’t know if that makes sense. Might just be something that works for my brain, but maybe others will find this idea helpful too.
@@YanCook @Colin Brash thanks mate.
@@colinbrash Would you save the sounds as projects or is there a way to export a clip?
Sounds Sick! Thank You, Yan! 👏

Thanks! Yes, I plan to do one with the MicroFreak in the near future 🙃
Hey Yan, was just wondering if Idea 2 has become a track yet? Would love to listen to the whole thing, absolute banger
Yes, I plan to include these tracks in my next Unreleased pack 🙂
Hey Yan, awesome content. Do you think its possible to make label quality music using purely ableton plugins? Abletons functionality is amazing but ive heard people say that to get that extra 10 per cent you need external vsts (fab filter serum etc) do you think this is true? If not then great bc i want to use ableton to its fullest potential and you really help with that :)
Thanks! Of course you can use just Ableton plugins and get awesome quality sound, it's one of the best music tools out there, in my opinion.
+ you're more creative, when you're limited and your workflow is cleaner 🙂
wizard. and he even shares it
Hi Yan, I got a big problem solving the phaser-flanger part because of my version of Live and I don't understand if you are working on 140 bpm or different signature. It is very useful to know. Thank you by the way, everything on your channel is a goldmine.
hey great video, I have a question, do you prefer insert reverb and delay instead of send and why?
I just don't like having 1 reverb settings for everything)
Hi yan! Love your work. I have a curiosity, what's the tought process when you chose a specific note and then pitch it up/down with the frequency shifter?
The goal is to get to a desired frequency with making the sound a bit dirtyer and I try different notes, of course.
@@YanCook that makes perfect sense, thanks
Ma guyy
Drums make a lot of difference
Mostly only using for pads and sick leads the wavetable..
But im also a collector of wavetable presets, kappa.
Can someone explain the spectrum analyser at the end of the chain ?
When I make idea #1, press stop and push play again, the tune is out of rhythm. How can I change this? I have ableton 10 btw.
Check if LFO is in sync.
yo dont worry background is actually moving but take it easy bro
Yo
hello! Bro, I have seen several of your videos, if not all, they are excellent and very well done, I congratulate you, it would be great to one day receive feedback from a PRO like you, greetings!!
Wow good stuff! if only Wavetable would be more CPU efficient. :(
I mean.. You didnt really have to finish it. I meditate to FM anyway.
Ну ты крут
