Dear Jacky, Fantastic uploading and synchronising the scores with who the NY Times critic Schonberg called "The man that invented Beethoven !" Great job !!!! All my best, Jason
How could anyone write this incredibly yet 300 years ago. I don't understand it. I take the timelessness and axiomatic truth and immediacy of Beethoven in my life so much for granted I forget how old this music is. I guess if I'm religious, it's that I believe in some composers, perhaps most of all Beethoven. Of course that's because of early introduction, but then most religion is.
To be honest... Later pianists are certainly as good as Schnabel, if not better... I think he sometimes his tempos are too quick what makes his interpretations sometimes without depht... I prefer without doubt Brendel... 🤔🤔🤔
@@Fritz_Maisenbacher Dear Fritz. We already had this discussion about a year ago and we came to the conclusion that all have their merits and that in matters of interpretation and taste objective judgements are barely possible. I think you forgot that. By the way, I added two more "heroes" to my list: Gulda and Arrau, and am at the moment exploring Kempff... Schnabel's London Beethoven-recordings I bought recently and is planned for deep-listening in the nearby future...so we will "hear" what it brings... I will inform you in due course. Greetings !
Interesting in the extreme. Glenn Gould (the Great) freely admitted that, as a boy, he was influenced by Schnabel and I can hear this influence as Gould takes these sonatas many steps further towards perfection. These Schabellians are good for study and comparison: highly respectable even if now surpassed.
what is the garbage coming in as ads? I don't understand that at all. Interrupting such sublime music with sheer garbage -- to what purpose? It's mystifying.
Как здорово слушать музыку с нотами! Кому только пришла в голову эта благословенная идея!

I think it's GREAT that you posted these!
Thank you for sharing, and with the score, no less! Great.
III... Allegretto

The scores are the Schenker edition from Vienna. Reprinted by Dover,

Du könntest Deine Aufnahmen hochladen...
Great sound. Who did the engineering? I want to listen to the Pearl releases. Do you know any on youtube?
Yessssss. Finally. Thanks Jacky Tran.
I really do not understand why other pianists recorded this after Schnabel .
You are right.
I suppose they did not understand Schnabel.

Wow!
what happened?????????? The advertising garbage never used to interrupt this series.
RUclips/Google has to pay its bills.

When I listened to this version, I thought Beethoven is alive!

Money money money!!!
this is completely spoiled by the constant interruptions with adverts. Can't enjoy the music because of this deluge of ear garbage. what a shame.
Why don't you use Adblock like everyone else?
