---People who don't understand the reality of piano playing in the romantic era. I hate when people fixate on right notes. It's not about the metronome or perfection... Schnabel tells the story. And I get it!

If you're going to play Das Wiedersehen that fast it better be accurate. I'd rather hear it a bit slower and clean than frenzied and inaccurate.

Ted Slusser it is "accurate". It's only the old registrations quality

inaccurate ?! You are inacurate. There is more music in this interpretation than the last five world class interprets I just listened to. You listen them you had enough after one hearing, you listen to Schnabel and if you have a true musical ear and mind you will hear there is so much more understanding and definition in the music it brings the essence of this music with such refinement, servitude and poetry you can listen twice, three, five times and it'll sound more beautiful each time. You do that with others and it'll sound more academic and tedious at every new hearing. He is expressing the music exactly. But if you are someone who does not have that musical sensibility you will make exactly a comment like yours. Vivacissimente it is, as Beethoven wrote.
