Why the repetition of the middle and last section of the 4th. movement. Richter does it too. Awful. It disturbs the architectural balance. Is it even indicated in the score ???
@@patriciopalazzo I admire Arrau's interpretations of Beethoven, but in this one he is wrong. Even a great Beethoven interpreter as Schiff has his doubts concerning the architectural necessity and balance of this repetition. I also found it in recordings with Richter and Perahia. Terrible . And even if people like it, I don't care: it is musically speaking against logic and disrupts the balance... but I only speak in my name of course. If you can convince me of the artistic necessity of this repetition, with arguments, I will be very pleased to take them in consideration. Thanks in advance...😉👍😊
I've listened to so many pianists and have decided that Arrau is pretty much THE authority on Beethoven. Unrivalled in my opinion.
Arrau is the last estirpe noble from Beethoven and his interpretation is the most realistic of the history
