G'day folks.! The smartest would have to be the kid with the hot stones. A definite 10 out of 10. The pool float could have gotten split-cut turning it into an efficient shelter. We're with you with the umbrella. We stole dad's golf umbrella coz it has a much bigger and better dome shape for shelter, from wind, rain and bird poop. The fires would be consistent if an "A Frame" wooden structure is built over it reducing sufficient amount of rain falling on to it for it to be burning all night thus deflecting the heat out from both ends, where a shelter is built or sitting under an umbrella.. ! You won't get much on $20 from a Thrift Store/Salvation Army Store here in Australia. It's turning into a business instead of helping the needy. You're one tough bad ass Mr. Salyer and a mentor. Warm cheers from The Land Down Under.
This was so fun to watch. I was laughing out loud. What a great group. I really got a kick out of seeing the variety of ideas for the survival supplies. I can't wait to see another one.
Although I’ve seen this before can’t help but watch and I’ve always liked the idea of this, and the cut in the toe of the shoe priceless, and the coat you’re wearing at the end awesome, 😎 know you’ve said you’ve trained military before but if you would have served you would have fit in perfect.
He actually wanted to join the military and become a SERE instructor. I told him that I wouldn’t marry him if he did. God has a way of working everything out. He was able to work for Naval Special Warfare without joining the military. ❤
@@blueridgerealtor haha I get it but with his attitude and work ethic he would have been a good one to have the best guys are hard working and keep an upbeat attitude it makes everything easier.
never underestimate the good ol Umbrella!... it's not just a waterproof cover, a door to your tarp-tent, and an umbrella to keep you dry... it's a lightweight, foldable structure... little tape and a mylar blanket and you have a shelter!... combine it with a candle, and it's a hot tent!... a full size one can double as a walking stick too, and a heavy-duty as a self-defense tool [need some cane fight training first]
Looks like too much fun. I do have a video on one of my other channels of when I was out in Tennessee, sleeping in a little debris hut. With my appropriate clothing, I only used a simple wool blanket. I showed the thermometer, and it was nine degrees Fahrenheit. I did have to get up twice in the night and rekindle the fire to warm the feet. It was cold, and my core was good, but the wool blanket was not really up to the task, but it is doable. Another fun challenge that gets you off the ground, if your motorcycle is road worthy, is the Iron Butt Run. You run at least a thousand verifiable miles in twenty-four hours. A couple of us ran it from middle Tennessee down the Natchez Trace highway down to Louisiana and back. I only took my clothes on my back and a jacket, basic helmet, cash, and edc's. Of course, It did down pour ( what would a challenge be without rain, lol). My boots literally filled up with water, and my face was raw due to the rain drops, which felt like pepples. I believed we clocked just shy of twelve hundred miles. Loved every minute of it. If you get a chance, it is a fun challenge. Good stuff, you all look like you're having fun. God bless you, and thanks for sharing.
Very happy and see your umbrella didn’t like. Lol might’ve been a cold wet night. I was wondering how that guy with the air bed did that was out of the ordinary to say the least😊
This was very entertaining to watch. I love the idea. I'm guessing all of your clothes came from thrift stores as well? Would have been awesome to see twice as much content, including more conversations and discussions. Keep up the excellent work. 👊🔥
could have saved your money and just sat under a tree for 24 hours lol. you really don't need anything. even if you had no water or food and just had your coat and clothes you could survive 24 hours.
What’s the toughest environment to survive in? Coastal, desert, jungle, or mountains?

You should have done a video where you record everyone buying the stuff from the thrift store and there thought process then put it to the test

True but style points are important. Don't disparage practice. They are doing more than 99% of people.
A. Why do you need to know where East and West are?? B. You can't just watch the sun to see where East and West are? Sad
Boring
Thanks Share the love.
