Best baker ever. Never saw something that disappoints from her. All her recipes are easy to follow with sufficient information on what would be an acceptable substitute which is great for non American viewers.Came across this channel by accident and I am forever a fan. Cant get enough. One day I will meet this woman in person and give her the biggest hug ever.
Dear Stephanie, the kids came back from school yesterday wondering about that freshy baky lemony gingery smell all over the yard and to the doorway :) I might have exceeded with the lemon zest, since we are all lemon lovers in this house, so I had to add a few more grams of sugar to balance the bitterness! Best scones ever added to my favs, thank you!
You are amazing and I'm making these today! By the way, you have a great and very inviting warmth about you and you explain everything so well. Additionally, the camera footage is wonderful. I feel like I'm in your kitchen with you. One can wish. Haha! I can't wait for my husband to walk in and comment his usual, "Wow...what are you making? Something smells fantastic!" Thanks for making me look good, Stephanie!
I hit the LIKE button just based on the photo when it popped up in my notifications. I am TOTALLY OBSESSED with ginger & anything citrus!!! I am SO going 2 make these & enjoy them with some lemon ginger tea n the morning! Stephanie, u r a GENIUS!
I just made these and they came out so tender and delicious. I have never used the crystallized ginger before. I tasted it before I put it in and it had a sweet spicy flavor but it mellowed out in the baked scone. Great recipe.
Tried this recipe and my family loved it I’m not the best at baking but the way you describe everything makes it easy to understand.Thank you for making this channel
I'm a huge fan of Joy of Baking from Korea!! And definitely, among her great recipes, this lemon scone is the best one ever! I swear! actually I added lemon icing on top (you guys can find lemon icing recipe at her lemon pound cake video clip). I hope all the subscribers would try this recipe!
i can't wait to make this new flavor of scones you made ms.Stephanie and for sure they are so much delicious like those others you've made before. Thank you so much for sharing with us your video recipes. God bless you more!
Wow I just finished cooking your cheese scones . They ALWAYS turn great , but I also add cheddar and Parmesan , as I’m cheese freak . They are SCRUMPTIOUS. Thanks for uploading ❤️❤️❤️
Yum I love scones-inherited from my mum I often make savoury ones with cheese and chives .. making batches then freeze- I think Steph I would be eating the ginger love it good for tummy upset
Yummm! I will definitely try these! I soooo enjoy your videos. You give so many good tips as well as ideas about tools and ingredients. Your tip on SAF gold yeast from another video was priceless! Thanks so much
Jibreel123 M hello, , while we are baking cakes in two 9 inch pans at 1 time, my oven fits only one 9 inch pan, what shall I do to bake in two pans at one time. Last time When I made the cake in single 9 inch pan instead of two 9 inch pans the outer area becomes so hard to cut and it brakes. Pls reply fast
👍Nice, thank you. 💞 Now I’m thinking of all kinds of low carb & keto substitutes for this recipe so I can actually enjoy these without too much guilt. 😁
I measure out the butter and then put it in the freezer for a couple hours. Just grate it into the bowl of flour, etc. These look delicious and I will try them. I think I have some left over crystallized ginger from making ginger snaps.
Hello, I am new to your Channel but love your accent! Are you possibly from Wisconsin? Also I love that you say scons instead of scones! LOL. Can I use orange peel and omit the ginger as I'm not a big fan of ginger. How about drizzling a little powdered sugar icing on top too? 😉😁
Hi Joy of Baking, does the quality of the flour important in baking? I recently substituted my Premium White Wings plain flour with a homebrand plain flour which is cheaper. And my banana bread and scones seem to taste different.
Is there a reason for not adding an egg to lemon ginger scone? I just watched your blueberry scone video in which you used an egg there... just wondering!
Can i use ground ginger instead of the crystallized one and how much should i use? I don't think we have crystallized ginger in my country. Thanks in advance!
You could add a little ground ginger instead of the crystallized ginger, or you could simply leave it out. If adding ground ginger I wouldn't add very much, maybe 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon.
I would love to see you make a tres leches cake. It’s a traditional Latin American cake where the cake is soaked in a mixture of 3 milks, hence the name tres leches.
one time I heard one time that if you leave the sides of biscuits and I would assume scones touch a little bit they rise better or you get more rise in the oven cool
Hello my dear, thanks for this new delicious 😋 recipe here Stephanie; i am back and and i have new recipes on my channel.. i hope you have Fun and watch me now.. best wishes from Germany, Berlin from the ChaosKitchen51, Tom

Hi Stephanie, if I use dried Cranberry, do I have rehydrate the cranberry?
I have a question, can I do an egg wash on top and also sprinkle the top with sugar out will it be too sweet? Thank you much!
I'm Canadian, although I live in the States now. You can just omit the ginger or you could add some orange peel.
Hi Joy of Baking, does the quality of the flour important in baking? I recently substituted my Premium White Wings plain flour with a homebrand plain flour which is cheaper. And my banana bread and scones seem to taste different.
Yes, the flour you use does make a difference.
Thank you! How can I measure the quality of flour used for baking?
could you freeze the dough? and if so how long? and also would you need to let the dough un-thaw to bake?
Am I able to substitute wheat flour?
Yes, you can do that.
Is there a reason for not adding an egg to lemon ginger scone? I just watched your blueberry scone video in which you used an egg there... just wondering!
Came out really good, Thanks.
I made this today and it turned out beautifully, thankyou very much for sharing x
