    Best baker ever. Never saw something that disappoints from her. All her recipes are easy to follow with sufficient information on what would be an acceptable substitute which is great for non American viewers.Came across this channel by accident and I am forever a fan. Cant get enough. One day I will meet this woman in person and give her the biggest hug ever.

    Dear Stephanie, the kids came back from school yesterday wondering about that freshy baky lemony gingery smell all over the yard and to the doorway :) I might have exceeded with the lemon zest, since we are all lemon lovers in this house, so I had to add a few more grams of sugar to balance the bitterness! Best scones ever added to my favs, thank you!

    You are amazing and I'm making these today! By the way, you have a great and very inviting warmth about you and you explain everything so well. Additionally, the camera footage is wonderful. I feel like I'm in your kitchen with you. One can wish. Haha! I can't wait for my husband to walk in and comment his usual, "Wow...what are you making? Something smells fantastic!" Thanks for making me look good, Stephanie!

    I just made these and they came out so tender and delicious. I have never used the crystallized ginger before. I tasted it before I put it in and it had a sweet spicy flavor but it mellowed out in the baked scone. Great recipe.

      Jibreel123 M hello,
      , while we are baking cakes in two 9 inch pans at 1 time, my oven fits only one 9 inch pan, what shall I do to bake in two pans at one time.
      Last time When I made the cake in single 9 inch pan instead of two 9 inch pans the outer area becomes so hard to cut and it brakes.
      Pls reply fast

    I measure out the butter and then put it in the freezer for a couple hours. Just grate it into the bowl of flour, etc. These look delicious and I will try them. I think I have some left over crystallized ginger from making ginger snaps.

    Hello, I am new to your Channel but love your accent! Are you possibly from Wisconsin? Also I love that you say scons instead of scones! LOL. Can I use orange peel and omit the ginger as I'm not a big fan of ginger. How about drizzling a little powdered sugar icing on top too? 😉😁

    • @joyofbaking
      @joyofbaking  6 лет назад

      I'm Canadian, although I live in the States now. You can just omit the ginger or you could add some orange peel.

    Hi Joy of Baking, does the quality of the flour important in baking? I recently substituted my Premium White Wings plain flour with a homebrand plain flour which is cheaper. And my banana bread and scones seem to taste different.

    • @joyofbaking

    Can i use ground ginger instead of the crystallized one and how much should i use? I don't think we have crystallized ginger in my country. Thanks in advance!

    • @joyofbaking
      @joyofbaking  6 лет назад

      You could add a little ground ginger instead of the crystallized ginger, or you could simply leave it out. If adding ground ginger I wouldn't add very much, maybe 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon.

    one time I heard one time that if you leave the sides of biscuits and I would assume scones touch a little bit they rise better or you get more rise in the oven cool
