I don't understand why some people think that what Jesus did wasn't enough. What Jesus did was everything and all the glory goes to Him. I put my faith and life in His hands and nothing can snatch me away.
AMEN Victoria, CHRIST JESUS PAID IT ALL on the cross and as He died on the cross He said IT IS FINISHED-John 19:30-KJV and we as believers can rest on HIS FINISHED WORKS BY FAITH ALONE. GOD BLESS.
"And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work." (Romans 11:6)
Those who deny that salvation can ever be lost, reason on the subject in a marvelous way. They tell us, that no virgin’s lamp can go out; (Matt.25:8-12) no promising harvest be choked with thorns;(Mark 4:3-9) no branch in Christ can ever be cut off from unfruitfulness; (John 15:5-6) no pardon can be forfeited(1Cor.9:27) (Isaiah 63:8-10)(Matt.18:21-35);and no name blotted out of God's book (Rev. 3-5). They maintain that no salt can lose its savor (Luke14:34-35);nobody can ever receive the grace of God in vain (1 Cor.15:1-2)(2 Cor.6:1-2); bury his talents (Matt.25:14-30)'neglect such great salvation'(Heb.2:3-4)Using grace as a license to sin'(Jude 4); Jesus stresses total commitment: “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62).Nobody can ‘grieve the Spirit’ till He is ‘quenched,(Eph.4:30)(1 Thess 5:19);and strives no more,(Heb.12:14) nor ‘deny the Lord that bought them’; nor ‘bring upon themselves swift destruction'. (2 Peter2:1-4). Nobody, or body of believers, can ever get so lukewarm that Jesus will spew them out of His mouth. (Rev 3:15-19).

The gospel taught by Peter and the Lord in his earthly ministry was without the cross. Nobody could be saved in Matthew-John by the gospel of the cross, which is the only gospel that brings salvation to all men today. Today, preaching the gospel without the cross is vain (1 Cor 1:17-18). There are other gospels in the Bible given to Israel that are without the cross. They would not be vain according to God’s promises to Israel, but they need to be rightly divided from the gospel that saves into the church. God is not bringing in his kingdom to Israel today, but he is ministering the good news of Christ crucified and resurrected for the sins of all men. A gospel without the cross is no gospel to lost sinners. The only gospel that saves today requires the cross of Christ.
It is true that people couldn't be saved under the Law alone, but Jesus didn't die on the cross to free us to sin. It is ridiculous to believe that Jesus didn't have a better plan than to make sin legal so that we can be saved. Deceived Christians are believing that Jesus had no other way to save us than to allow sin as a way to bring Salvation. In truth, when he died on the cross, he was able to send the Holy Spirit, who is able to transform us to true righteousness so that we can obey God’s laws and be saved. We must be Born Again and converted to righteousness. Since the beginning of the bible sin was never allowed. Decieved Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross to change that and to allow human beings to continue to sin, and grace would remove the penalties for breaking his laws. This would only allow people to destroy themselves with sin, because over time, sin hardens the heart. Sin causes blindness. Sin destroys the human conscience, which leads to depravity. That would not be grace at all. Deceived Christians believe this is God's only solution for Salvation. They are wrong. God does not leave us in a sinful state, because it would destroy us both mentally and spiritually. Rather, God's grace is that he blesses us with cleanliness and righteousness so that we can live a free and happy life. False ministers interpret the bible with the ignorance of mortal men, and they teach these things as truth. Covering up sin is like sweeping more and more dirt under the carpet and leaving it there. This is man's way, not God's way. When we are truly saved, God's grace frees us from the bondage of sin itself. Blind Christians dont understand that God's ways are higher than the ways of human beings.
I wish that i could believe this. But the counter argument is stronger. I do pretty much everything right according to the instructions of Jesus, have been baptised, truly repented and try hard not to sin,but i still don't feel certain of my salvation. Not ALL that call out to him are saved. And they obviously feel that they are. We'll know soon enough.

i am saved simply because i believe and trust that God keeps to His word and takes me when i die....i am not baptized and i dont need to be to get to heaven......baptism is a work but still others insist on it.....they are not living in the time of grace right now.
This is a false doctrine. There is a very clear " if" implied in all of these verses. We are eternally secure as Christians, if we continue in the faith.
WORKS WON'T SAVE ANYBODY-Jesus Christ said IT IS FINISHED-John 19:30-KJV what do you think we as Christians have to do by adding to the finished works of Christ-NOTHING-WE ARE NOT TO ADD TO CHRIST'S FINISHED WORKS other than BELIEVING ON CHRIST-Acts 16:31-KJV. IT'S FAITH ALONE, GRACE ALONE, ON CHRIST ALONE.
@KJV BIBLE BELIEVER TAL The gospel call to faith presupposes that sinners must repent of their sin and yield to Christ’s authority.” In other words, a sinner who refuses to repent is not saved, for he cannot cling to his sin and the Savior at the same time. And a sinner who rejects Christ’s authority in his life does not have saving faith, for true faith encompasses a surrender to God. Thus the gospel requires more than making an intellectual decision or mouthing a prayer; the gospel message is a call to discipleship. The sheep will follow their Shepherd in submissive obedience. Jesus’ repeated warnings to the religious hypocrites of His day as proof that simply agreeing to spiritual facts does not save a person. There must be a heart change. Jesus emphasized the high cost of discipleship: “Whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple” (Luke 14:27), and “Those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples” (verse 33). In the same passage, Jesus speaks of counting the cost; elsewhere, He stresses total commitment: “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62). In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus says that eternal life is a narrow path found by “only a few” (Matthew 7:14); in contrast, some seek to broaden the path so that anyone who has a profession of faith can enter. Jesus says that “every good tree bears good fruit” (verse 17); in contrast, some say that a tree can still be good and bear nothing but bad fruit. Jesus says that many who say “Lord, Lord” will not enter the kingdom (verses 21-23); in contrast, some teach that saying “Lord, Lord” is good enough. Paul and James taught that a true profession of faith will be backed up by evidence of faith. If a person is truly following the Lord, then they will obey the Lord’s instructions. A person who is living in willful, unrepentant sin has obviously not chosen to follow Christ, because Christ calls us out of sin and into righteousness. Indeed, the Bible clearly teaches that faith in Christ will result in a changed life 2 Corinthians 5:17 Galatians 5:22-23 James 2:14-26
