Drill- Packedge in typical box, came with a tool bag (added bonus), two batteries, one charger, drill, and driver. Two words "plenty of Torque" ruclips.net/user/postUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv well I guess that's three. Nice upgrade from current setup. Has belt clips, I don't think I will be using those. Driver and drill were bigger than what I expected but it is an upgrade from the current setup. For the money I would say that this is a great setup for Professionals and DIY/Weekend warriors.

After the first 5 minutes of chatter I fast forwarded to see what the "Big Secret" was...it's no secret, it's a whole video of endless chatter....Thank God I did not watch the entire video but the start and ending!!
Thank you!
Agreed
Thank you! These guys need to go test out some computers or something and leave the tools to the men.
Thanks bro, skeptical of the click baity title, saw this comment and Knew for sure these guys are clowns
Exactly.
The secret is to cut a tab off the Hercules battery to fit it into a Dewalt. Just saved you 20 minutes.
And it's not even accurate
Savage thanks 😁😂🤣
Christ, what happened to my feed
pretty sure it doesn't work that way....plus even if it does fit it probably isn't safe...

Those two were the customers I dreaded when I worked at a hardware store.
Yup what a bunch of Tools. No pun intended. Kudos to HFT crew for being Professional with them. I know they wanted them out of that store ASAP

As someone who used to be a sales manager, I have nightmares about the times I've had to deal with a group customers like this.
The worst is when they do something they think is funny (and boy do customer groups that act like this think they're funny and clever) and their whole group laughs and generally acts obnoxious the entire time and you're standing there just wanting to die wondering what went wrong in your life while waiting for them to leave so you can just go to your lunch, but they'll keep talking and laughing between each other and being obnoxious thinking they're so funny and they don't care that you have other customers or tasks to attend to and that your short staffed, and you know none of the questions they're asking or stuff that they want to know really matters anyway because they know exactly what they're there for and exactly what they're going to buy, they only use your answers as a source for more material to be obnoxious about, while subtly trying to quiz you to see if you know the answers on the product.
I'm glad I'm not working retail at the moment.
This s***** part is none of them will ever realize and will be oblivious to the fact that they were actually kind of disrespectful and inconsiderate to the sales manager at certain points throughout the interaction.
The sales manager handled the entire thing like a champ and vanishes at the first opportunity.
I never worked retail and a lot of it seemed very obnoxious. I hope they asked permission to film before they ran in there and did all this.
Seriously. I’m sure Mr Dirt Monkey would love it if a group of customers wasted his time like this.
I like the salesman’s response to one question about which drill is better “I don’t know but it’s been tested on RUclips a millions times” or something like that.
Agreed, being loud and saying unexpected things like destroying drills for thrills is hiw teenagers behave not grown adults

John Bronson yeah I’ll just head down to Fred’s where he make his own drills in house.

You don't know he's not bringing that stuff back
Hey we all know the real og tool man aka Tim the tool man lol.
I know _Tim_ the _Pool_ man.
Tim the Tool man referenced in a Harbor Freight video always reminds of the time at the tool store

"Who needs a dozen pliers? But who can say no to that deal"
Their replacement thing is great my son races go karts and one of the classes he runs is a stock predator class and when I bought his first motor the manager told me about the replacement and I told him what we were doing with it he said just drain the gas and oil and bring it back no questions asked and they have done it awesome little motors too
Hercules 20v batteries, although they look similar, DO NOT work on the Dewalt 20v tools. They both have 5 pin output but do not have the correct temperature sense lead in the right pin position to work.
I love Harbor Freight. Most of their stuff is great stuff for the home owner or the person who cant afford the name brand stuff.....like the guys filming this...
hey tim his name is Vince McMann. Ed McMan was Johnny Carson's co host.
McMahon....yeah these guys are dumb. I can't believe he has this many subscribers.

middle schoolers at the store 🤣🤣🤣
I had a guy in front of me once bring in literally a 20 year old electric saw that was broken and all he had to do is the the 13.99 protection fee and they let him get a brand new one. By far harbor freight has the best return policy next to Costco. Costco will take a broken 15 year old couch back and give you a new one as long as you have the receipt.
That's not making sense. They sell you a one or two year no questions asked exchange policy at time of sale for $13.99, 20 years is beyond the 15, or 27 months you can buy. What am I missing?
@@tubro007 you can extend the warranty as long as you want
@@phamilton0148 you can only get a 2 year or 1 year warranty. Sometimes the managers will let you bring back an item that isn't in warranty if you agree to buy the two year warranty, helps bring our numbers up. It all depends on the manager you talk to.

@@phamilton0148 at my store we can't sell anything replacement plan unless they buy another one.
I bought one of those real cheap drills ($20)a few years ago. Not much torque even on the highest setting. They were $16 back then. Came with 1 battery and a charger. Good for drilling very soft metal or wood. On steel you could almost stop it if you bear down. Anyway came in handy on more than one occasion, especially installing a storm door. Great as a power screwdriver. The battery finally quit taking a charge. Since a replacement battery was more than a new set I just bought another drill motor with battery and charger on sale again. Ended up with 2 good drill motors with new battery and charger.
You know what 99% of people do know about H.F.? The drills come with batteries.
LOL! Yes, yes they do :)
Why is it when watching these three I'm reminded of reading about teenage boy drivers. A teen boy with an average IQ drives ok - maybe. Add another teenager and the driver's IQ drops by half. Add a third and the driver's IQ is halved again...

Harbor freight has good tools for the most part. Any reasonable person knows this.
I used the Drillmaster for 5 years in my apartment. Worked great for every day tasks. Don't hate. Now I have a brushless combo drill.
Honestly, I have owned a couple Chicago Electric and pneumatic power tools and they really do work and hold up!
In fact, I had a 4" angle grinder that I lent to my brother about 10 years ago, guess what, he still haves it and it works just fine!
ITS TIME HE RETURNED IT TO YOU !!!!
LOL
I absolutely get the replacement plan every time I purchase a tool from HarborFreight, it’s a no brainer especially for the abuse that us construction guys and gals put our tools through.
20 minutes watching these guys shop. The first 10 minutes is worthless, I couldn’t watch the rest.
Ditto, thanks !! Luckily I did not waste more than a few minutes before realizing ;-)
A video test related to spotting guys who know nothing about anything besides pretending they do (maybe).
The only thing i got out of it was that u can ither use dewalt battery on their brand or viseversa
Once the salesman said "that's all been done on the internet already" i laughed, and clicked off the video
Why? There are videos on RUclips proving their tools match up or out performance big brands like makita Dewalt etc
You can cut out the plastic tab on those batteries and use them in a variety of brands. However, the battery cells inside are different so the cheaper batteries will use cheaper cells while brands like DeWalt and Milwaukee use Samsung and LG cells which are some of the best in the industry. Hopes this helps clarify the reason behind battery pricing (to an extent).
Yeah, I've learned that printed specifications on Chinese products are not to be trusted. It might be labeled 5 mAh when it's really only
my drillmaster drill battery has samsung 25r cells inside it, 4.99 each to replace if your not afraid to take the battery pack apart and do it.
@@zbow1974 Exactly, the major tool brands price their battery packs way too high. The name brand individual cells are like $5-10 a piece and there are 3 in a Milwaukee M12 2.0 Ah pack. That pack retails for $65, but only has ~$30 worth of batteries inside.
@Steve White Yeah, but only when purchasing on a consumer-level, you can get scammed like that. Harbor Freight or whoever manufacturers these packs would drop their cell supplier, if they found out they were acting shady, quicker than a mic.

@@katieedmonds2212 nope I didn't turn them down, I told them who to call
I bought the Vulcan 220 welder almost 2 years ago. The cashier talked me into getting the extended warranty. 22 months later the machine started malfunctioning. I returned it. No questions asked. Got a brand new one and another 2 yr warranty. Cant beat that.
I actually have a heavy duty Black & Decker in the battery on it is good for a couple weeks before I have to charge it I went to Lowe's and bought a DeWalt for $100 and I have to charge the battery on it about every 2 days so my Black and Decker was probably half the price and it's got more torque and I prefer to use it more it's a 14.4 Black & Decker
Their return policy is outstanding, especially with hand tools and truly "no questions asked". I had a ratcheting breaker bar where the ratchet stopped working. Showed it to the cashier and, even without a receipt since it was a Pittsburgh brand (Harbor Freight store brand) he told me just to grab another off the shelf and head on my way. Couldn't have been any easier. Very impressive!
Thanks for the comments Jack!
True but there tools break more then any brand, Do u really wanna have to keep making trips to HF in the middle of a project? Also Home Depot does returns just as quick & easy with Husky hand tools as I am sure others do as well
grizzy909, based on the wide range of ‘test to failure’ videos I’ve watched recently, Pittsburgh Pro tools are damned near as durable as the big name stuff like Snap-On, and Icon are virtually indistinguishable from a performance standpoint.
i had a ratcheting breaker bar snap into pieces but didnt know about the return policy, for some reason i kept the broken tool thinking maybe i can use the scrap metal then heard about the return policy about a year later. i thought screw it why not? brought it back and walked out the door with a new one no questions asked.
Yea, but youll spend enough in gas to have covered a decent tool... I watched a guy fracture his hand bearing down on a Pitts. 1/2 drive ratchet, literally after shitting on my "high dollar" Craftsman!
Don't knock that $20 Drill Master I bought one 5yrs ago use it every day no problems
Same here and an impact driver both work great.
I replaced the drill because of a switch recall but the impact driver has been going strong for many years. Just have to remember to totally discharge the battery before re-charging it. I didn't do that and had to replace batteries. Also have the Bauer impact driver. That thing is a torque monster. Well worth the extra $$$.
The Drill Master will have to be my next purchase. Tried of paying $60- $80 for a stinking drill that won't continue working more than a few years.
Mine started smoking and quit working after 20 minutes of use
Still going with mine as well. I own a couple of Ryobi tools but most of my tools come from Harbor freight because the level of work I do with my tools doesn’t justify DeWalt, Milwaukee or Makita prices.
Stanley, you lucky bugger. I wish I had a Harbor Freight store near me. There's always online but nothing like touchy-feely.
I bought a 9 speed milling machine from harbor freight a little over a year ago,.. and lots of people said it wouldn't last long cause it was from harbor freight ! But harbor freight only sold it , they are a distributor only , the milling maching was made by central machinery inc. A well known company for their quality . I still have the mill and haven't had any trouble with it at all. Its extremely ridged and accurate ! I wouldn't trade it for a bridgeport ! and I mean that.
I still have and use my black and decker drill from 1978. Plug it in works every time
That's great Michael, thanks for viewing !
This “PLUG” you speak of?? 😜
Even electricity has changed since then lol
Harbor freight has a excellent return policy.
Years ago I bought a Chicago electric miter saw. I was siding a log cabin. Big thick siding boards needed to be cut.
I burn out a saw every day.
Every morning they replaced it for 6 days.
Eventually they refunded my money and politely asked me not to come back.
But the point is the exchanged it every time. No questions asked.
Did you get your monies worth?
Bauer is a clone of PowerPlus, a UK Brand of power tools. Pretty damn good stuff for the money perfect for a home gamer. I am no longer ashamed to buy tools from Harbor, their stuff has increased in quality a lot. I currently use the Pittsburg brand of tools for work as an auto tech.. just as good as the tool trucks
A while back, Snapon sued Harbor Freight over their Daytona floor jack. Harbor Freight then revealed the fact that their jack was built in the same factory in Taiwan, by the same people using the same materials. HF then counter sued and Snapon dropped the case.
Snap On's greediness led to Harbor Freight revealing just how high of a mark-up S.O. charges it's hard working customers. If S.O. did it with the floor jack, imagine what else they do it with, if not every tool they sell.
Extreme marketing at its finest. Snap on execs are on a beach front property some where
I don’t understand how anyone would pay snap-on prices. Your paying A LOT MORE for the “snap-on” name
PaganWizard ....I’ve found same jacks in Walmart, harbor freight and Napa, just their color and name brand put on. Yes, same manufacturer
I've broken way more SO stuff than I ever did Pittsburgh or Icon stuff. (Using things the proper way by the way)
Have the Bauer impact and love it alot of power battery last along time, and we run 4in screws, metal tappers runs them like a champ, snap screws too. For the price and power its awesome
Three guys walk in to a Harbor Freight and ask the cashier "Which is your best drill?" OMG!
Rotary Hammer for $100. Makes you wonder what the manufacturing cost of our favorite tool really is (Makita fanboy here).
Would probably make us very angry.
I have that Bauer rotary hammer. It is a beast. I drill 3/4 inch holes 100s at a time to put on pool safety covers. I also use it to break concrete to find pool leaks.
@@clayseale that would be a good video, on how you find pool leaks
About 33% of retail cost. Harbor freight operates on high revenue low margin stream similar to the Walmarts and Amazons of the worlds. So let's say it cost Harbor Freight $50 bucks to make that product and get it into the store, they still make money but they don't have a middle man like the other manufacturers so there's not that jump in price. So the typical manufacturers may make a product for $50, sell it for $100 then it gets sold to us at $150. Harbor Freight farms out the manufacturing like most everyone else, but that's where the price increase stops.
@Kimber 10MM we will never know till h e makes a video on it
Intentionally damaging the tool and then to go get a replacement is a totally scum move. Just my opinion.
Glad you said no to the idea.
Keep your opinion to your self! 🤦

😂isn’t bauer a ice skate/stick company?
The manager was a good guy and great attitude. Hope he still has a job after this video
I did some research before buying a Predator generator. I got the 3500. Anyways, I found out China has huge factories where one location makes Generators for a bunch of brands.
If 6 brands use the same engine, alternator and carb, those 6 different brands are built right next to each other to make component delivery more efficient.
Apparently, most products are built this way nowadays. One factory may make 8 or 10 different brands of drills. Those that share the most components are closest to each other. The factory figures out the most efficient way to assemble all the different brands.
If 2 brands look similar, I would assume they share most of their components and are assembled in the same factory.
No doubt, some brands have their own factory but most don't. Most brands simply have their own assembly line within a large factory. Custom brand components are delivered to that line and shared components are delivered to all lines/brands that use that component.
Duh.. you just now figured that out?
@@cravinbob I knew it, I just didn't know the extent of it. I didn't realize some of these copycat, off brand things were literally made in the same factory, with the same components, by the same people as the brands they are copying.
lol Somehow, I just pictured the big name brand item being made in one place, and another factory disassembling their product to figure out how to copy it. lol Nope, they just use different colored plastic, slap different stickers on it and assemble it on the next line, 20 feet away.

Where is this harbor freight that has no customers?? That's unheard of in my area.

If you put on a blindfold and put a DeWalt/Milwaukee/mikita in one hand and Hercules in the other they would be indistinguishable as far as build quality. Same with the batteries they are well built and seem to last forever. I will put my arsenal of Hercules tools & batreries up against the same line up of ANY other brand
Your battery swap idea is bs. I've tried.
James Horrocks yea I think AvE tried that when they first came out to no avail and concluded it was a waste of time. Could be wrong tho.

The charge and discharge parameters (Battery management Cards in the battery packs) for Li-ion battery packs are pretty much standard. Any DC motor that draws current from a battery doesn't care what the name on the battery case says. They're so very identical the tool doesn't care and the casing is just plastic packaging. Li-ion 18650 batteries are the key and common element inside. I removed a battery from it's original case, swapped it into another case and it charges and discharges no differently. I now have my second/backup battery replaced for my mower for half the price of the rare and almost unavailable and not manufactured battery pack. Kinda need it for my mutli-head unit; line trimmer, chain saw and hedge trimmer attachments, plus my lawn mower and leaf blower too. The quality of the Lithium Ion batteries used in some models may be a bit superior, but that's a premium/pricing issue only. The polarity of the connections are pretty standardized for connections to most chargers at a set voltage, 20 V is 20 Volts, 82 V is still 82 Volts.
But IF it were an APPLE product... OMG, it would be SO totally different that THEY would never be standardized or compatible with anything else and the premium would be a status symbol only... like most Apple products
My only regret in life is that I cannot give you more likes -without being dishonest with youtube accounts.-

Matt Jones, LoL! Like your time is so valuable. Get over yourself already, it’s entertaining. How many times do you see a walkthrough of Harbor Freight?
Do you ever watch Tool Boss or VCG Construction do the Home Depot or Lowe’s pricing walkthroughs? If not, give it a shot.

Hey Joe, you must’ve been banned by Vince or a moderator on VCG for either being a dickhead, profanity or... Otherwise, you probably wouldn’t be making derogatory comments about him and his channels.
With regards to your Chineseium comment, I guess you don’t use cordless/battery operated power tools.
Matt Jones the secret is their replacement plan. Tear the drill to hell and they replace it. And it was crazy cheap. They told the lady they were going to destroy drills and she said that’s ok!
Pretzel, I’ve only bought two Harbor Freight items in my entire life, their 7” Diamondback Wet Tile Saw and the associated stand for it. However, there’re a couple of reasons why I made the purchase. It came highly recommended by YouTubster Landberg of “Landberg Tile TV” and it’s a damn good saw (both the 7” and 10”).! It’s usually excluded from any coupon offer, but I caught it just right and received a 25% discount on it and negotiated a 20% discount on the stand. I was out the door @ $282.00. The table is tight with no play, it’s true out of the box, looks great and is made out of quality materials. I’d put this up against the 7” Ridgid or Kobalt any day of the week.
I plan to take care of this saw, as I do all of my tools. With regards to the warranty...if HF has a newer Diamondback offering, I’ll just take this in to the store and take home the latest and greatest.
Now...with regards to buying cheap ass tools, using and abusing them till they break... I have a different philosophy. I have 90% Milwaukee M18 and M12 power tools, with the other 10% being Dewalt 20V, e.g. Max VR Impact, Drill Driver and oscillating multi-tool. I really enjoy using a quality tool to get the job done. That being the case I’d never buy a piece of shxt tool, I’d rather save my money to buy the superior tool when I could afford it!

It being relatively cheap I went back to get another. Just so happened a employee walk up to see if I needed help and I explained my problem. The employee was the store manager and ask me how long I had had my drill. I told him 47 days and I sorta laughed it off. The manager said all ELECTRIC tools had a store warranty for 30 days. But, since she had seen me in the store on numerous occasions she would swap another offset drill for free. SO, you want to get to know the MANAGERS in person so perhaps they’ll do the same for you. ( Me and about a dozen guys were constantly purchasing tools at this particular store for about 6 months while working in town on company projects). Just saying
A LOT OF HEMMING AND HAWING....TIME WASTING FOR BUSY PEOPLE !!!
I bought a generator from harbor freight and people said it wouldn’t last 6 months and I have had it for 10 years and it works great
"Do you know much about these tools?"
He took that personally.
So the secret is cut some dumb tab off a battery to maybe fit a dewalt. So that's the secret of the video seriously? And we don't even know if it's actually accurate, total fail.
So you just have to break it before your warranty ends lol. In my luck my warranty end and the drill breaks haha
@R H pretty sure you aren't supposed to put replacement plans on open box stuff '-'
What is it 99% of people don't know, that HF (or at least one store) puts up with a lot of idiotic BS from customers??
I use harbor freight generators, concrete breaker, rotary hammer, saw zalls. They get the job done, the warranties are awesome, and we can wreck em and return them for pennies. Also, they’re bits are good, but hilti or Milwaukee make longer lasting bits.
Thanks for sharing !
I'd like to see the Harbor Freight workers walk into the workplaces of these guys and act like idiots and waste their time. What an embarrassing video.
LS67NOVA They bought tools at a tool store after discussing said tools with a sales rep. Less time wasted than your stupid comment.
I've had the $20 Drill Master for a few years now and it still works great. The NiCad batteries don't last as long as they used to, though. Totally worth it!
Mine went up in smoke. Will never buy one again. The chicago ones are good though.
I don't really need a cordless drill very often. When I do need one, the battery is always dead.
I remember watching a video of the tool bear where Harbor Freight sent him a Hercules miter saw stand to compare it against a DeWalt. Harbor Freight sent the Lesser model of the DeWalt instead of one that was comfortable that was pretty cheap. They must be afraid to go head-to-head with the same Quality Tool instead of something cheaper go figure
love the tool bear, amazing puppetry in addition to great tool info. He once reviewed Grizzley Brand Tool and mentioned it was not a relative. Too funny
No secret revelation in this video.
Bought a Her 4.5 angle grinder for $40 because I was in the store and needed a backup. Tool is flawless. (At my HF they do not accept 20% coupons on Her or Bauer).
But at Home Depot I was able to buy a 2 pack DeWalt 4.5 grinders for $99.
So while I do buy a lot of stuff at HF you still have compare to the big names.
I work at harbor freight if I saw y’all in my line I would be so annoyed
My fav store for impact sockets and wrenches and my air compressor and so on and on lol
This was so uneventful the 99%percent thing was about the batteries
You guys have no idea what you're doing...... Cutting off the battery tab doesn't make it work. The electronics are not made to communicate with each other.
The demo hammers are good but go with bosch bits the harbor freight bits mushroom inside the chuc and you can not get them out.
