I'm kind of torn with this.
On one side I'm quite chill if the party didn't clear EX4, and just try to prog, or help prog. I can do all the mechanics. At some point surely clear, right?
PF think otherwise, I never got a clear myself, although got till 1% enraged (party disband, 1 person want to sleep). another time healer died first then wipe. another too many people died then enraged. then A2C party that can't even survive phase 2.
Savage tier then open, no one else is doing EX4, everyone who cleared now only looking for duty complete only. You left in random A2C PF which somehow still can't survive EX4 phase 2 3weeks in.
And that's still EX, not even Savage. I gave up trying PFing. Got my time wasted by different random people for weeks. I'd rather just run aglaia for missing glams.
During EX3 there were a lot of helpers joining PF. When I cleared, I also join PF to help fresh progs, or A2C. In EX4 "cool, I cleared, bye! Start duty complete only party"
@@rtbear674 I knew someone on Exodus who became persona non grata because in 2.1 there was a Titan Clear in pf. I joined on an alt and we qued. We made it past heart phase and there was a miscommunication on the puddles dropped by the adds. We wiped and then duty ended. I got dropped and the other players asked if they had been removed.
The lead immediately began shouting for another party to join pf. Word spread quickly and any party with that player disbanded.
A few months later, he /t me if I wanted to join his Coils static since I had BiS at the time. I politely declined, saying I didn't want to be booted for making a mistake. He said it would not be like that again and they would all be new. I again declined and said "you know what they say about first impressions."
@@Daecoth Yea, 2 weeks ago there was a drama with healer who doesn't heal at all (0%), while the other healer forced to heal alone (90%), tank snap, static disband, after week 5 reclear of P7S took hours. because 1 healer was chasing colors in damage.
I think FFXIV is fun when you have friends to challenge challenges together. otherwise it's kind of a headache to PF. I tried making static, also kind of hard as you don't know people's schedule, suddenly busy for weeks or something. while someone else with more time progged further after training a lot more in PF and now thinking the others are dragging his feet.
I just gave up anything harder than EXs or uwu. Both of those you can go in PF, chill enough fight with fewer drama. Forget about it with Leap of Faith. And in the end even those weapons will be replaced again next tier. So I just focused on one with glams. because glams is forever XD
Ascian theme being used for the WoW dev at the end is fitting, yet I think that the Ascians in 2.0 were still less cartoonishly evil.
Ascian theme is a cherry on top for me. I only wish that to hammer the point that should've been mask or ascian sing on the GM's face.
@@MrAlexBambino i believe someone made a photoshopped image of WoW's game director with the ascian symbol on his face, as well as other people have taken ascian monologues and turned them to be wow related
See even if the ascians were cartoonishly evil, they had a (somewhat) understandable defense for their actions. Wow kinda just...shot itself >.>

3:10 the Au Ra dude is a reoccuring character from Captain Grim's WoW videos, a forsaken priest (his old face appears when he says "WoW") who was the long suffering buttmonkey of all of Grim's "Toxic wow dungeon" skits. After one skit about bot infested classic raids, he morosely declared he was finally quitting the game and was never seen again in any vids since. Really glad to see he finally found his peace.
Almost makes me want to see him in another FF14 vid, probably healing a party through tougher content, glammed out to the nines and having a blast.
I'm so glad Grim played this game. I would have never seen his stuff without him making that FF video, and I went back to watch his WoW stuff and it's honestly great. And the gigachad also paused his MSQ to grind out one of the fanciest but grindiest armor sets in the game (Elemental armor) and do some side content.
The insane stare with zoom at 2:45 is a top tier detail from Grim in this video
He filmed a real player for that
I still love how a year ago we had "I'm never going play FFXIV" Garrett to yesterday's "This game is awesome" Garrett.
Goes to show- no matter how much you might not like how something looks, at least give it a chance. It might surprise you.
If you embed the Omega TV in the Armoire you can get an old-fashioned TV set.
Blizzard has been the best promoter of FF14 in the market.
I can't believe it's almost been a year since I started following you guys. Crazy...
Now that I think about it, I don't think I've seen a "vote abandon" for a dungeon in 8 years, even though some of them were very painful. The most memorable was me tanking The Vault as a MNK, because the tank left and we never found a replacement. It's happened in trials for sure, but I can't recall specific instances other than Steps of Faith.
One of the best and most subtle parts of the video is when the former Undead player reflexively responds with an excuse about how it wasn't his fault for the wipe, which when I tried to PUG M+ groups with folks when my guildies weren't online or awake was definitely the vibe. Enough wipes from folks carelessly trying to stealth past every other mob and not asking how fights go beforehand if they're unsure when doing this +2 for the first time has EVERYONE looking for who to blame. Shit was wild, man.

ya know the only real "furry" race ffxiv has is the hrothgar wow has how many in comparison? the cats and bunnies are just people with ear/tails not full on anthro people
So if your board and want something silly to do and see how far you can get. 3 healers, shadowbringers trail number 4 on normal. Healer class only and just go in have fun, abuse rescue. Did that with a couple friends had a laugh and we die but it was silly
