Join us Sundays at 9:30am or 5:30pm for our church services at 365 Lukes Wood road new Canaan CT. Grace Community Church
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

@@sowhat... The story is bullshit. Atheism is the DISBELIEF of a deity existing. It is a conclusion drawn from the real fact that there is no independent, impartial evidence, proof that a deity of any type exists. Ultimately belief in a god is based on desire to wanting to believe even as there is no evidence to it that a god or gods exist. So to become a theist means you do have evidence, real impartial proof that god you now claim to worship, exists. Reading a book and all of sudden becoming a believer after being a non believer is just really too improbable to have happened.abd given how these stories are always but never once corroborated is empirical evidence that these stories are bullshit. Never once have I met a theist who claimed to be a non believer of deities who provided proof of their supposed atheism. It's like those fake stories of Christians who claimed to have been satanists and tell stories of being in covens that were taken from movies and comic books.

@FantaWriter Ok. Go online and find for me any explanation for how The Big Bang can defy the law of conservation of mass and energy (energy and matter cannot be created nor destroyed, only changed from one form to another) and the law of entropy (in any given system, matter and energy prefer to be disorganized). These laws state two things.
Firstly, the Big Bang would've had to come from somewhere or something, yet no one can tell me where or what that is, and there's no answer that I can think of that cannot be defeated with the same argument of "and where did that come from." Most times, atheists ignore this issue and either mock or get irrationally upset when this question is posed.
Secondly, the Big Bang would've preferred to expand at the beginning, assuming some form of explanation for the first issue can be found, not condense down into a state with enough energy to explode out into the endless universe. This one would have to be explained using science (experiments, math, or proofs) since the argument is that in an endless amount of nothing, an infinite amount of mass and energy condensed down so much that it exploded. That doesn't make much sense to me.
And how about the universe at large? In one strand of your DNA, you have more information than a library. Do you really believe that's by a die roll? Especially when you think about how, in one cell of your body, there are thousands of strands of DNA. Are each one of those die rolls?
I can't be an atheist because it's too illogical. The idea that everything could've come from nothing is anti-logic, in my opinion. The fact that atheists have the faith to believe in something that doesn't scientifically make sense is amazing to me.
All love, no hate, look at these issues and think on them.

      from internet, bing chat:
Does the big bang comes literally from nothing or?
      answer:
The Big Bang theory, as it is commonly understood, suggests that the universe originated from an extremely dense and hot state, and has been expanding ever since12. However, the question of whether the universe came from “nothing” is a complex one and is a topic of ongoing debate among scientists.
Some cosmologists propose that the universe could have formed spontaneously from “nothing” due to quantum fluctuations3456. In the realm of quantum mechanics, it’s plausible that the universe could come into existence from nothing56.
However, it’s important to note that this “nothing” isn’t the absence of anything but rather a quantum vacuum or a state of minimal energy34. This is a highly speculative area of physics and our understanding may evolve with further scientific exploration34.
On the other hand, some argue that the Big Bang theory doesn’t actually explain the creation of the universe from nothing7. It describes the evolution of the universe following the initial expansion, but it doesn’t provide a complete explanation for the origin of the universe7.
In conclusion, while the Big Bang theory describes the evolution and expansion of the universe from a hot, dense state, the question of how and from what the universe initially originated is still a subject of ongoing research and debate in the scientific community.

On the first day, God created light in the darkness.
On the second, He created the sky.
Dry land and plants were created on the third day.
On the fourth day, God created the sun, the moon and the stars.
Water and sky animals were made on the fifth day, and on the sixth day, land animals and people were created.
Okay so god created light 4 days before the sun? And somehow birds that evolved from land animals were made the day before land animals?
      😂😂😂 now thats a joke

    • @ApocalypseLounge
      @ApocalypseLounge 9 месяцев назад

Before God created the physical universe, there was nothing. There was nothing physical because the universe didn't exist. God invented light and created light both as a concept, and as the physical photons that we see now. You don't need the sun to produce light you can make light from other things, we do it all the time and it's not even miraculous. So the GOD of the universe who SPOKE a universe into existence can create light from nothing, and then make the sun. And birds didn't evolve from the land He created them! You want to be an atheist and live in a world where human evil has no solution be my guest, but please spare us your foolish ignorance! Please explain to all of us, the 30 or so universal constants that are so finally balanced to allow life to exist at all!?!? Find tuning so precise that even the most minute adjustment would mean the destruction of life in the universe? Explain to me how life began on this planet? How did rocks bring forth life? Please explain to us how there isn't enough seconds in the history of the universe to evolutionarily explain the development of complex proteins? Oh that's right you just believe in evolution. All of this happened by accident have fun with that.@@censorsstarve

    • @ezekielsparadise4633
      @ezekielsparadise4633 9 месяцев назад

@censorsstarve okay I'll entertain this. It probably won't convince you because people like you tend to not be open minded despite advertising yourselves as being that. But we'll see. Okay, don't take my word because I'm not 100% sure about the animals thing. But here's my theory on that. Day 5 God seemingly creates "creatures" and birds. And on day 6 he creates MORE creatures and man? Here's what I think. I believe in science and the Bible because science backs up the bible in so many ways. So I'd be dumb not to. I think the first wave of creatures on day was the first half of the "evolution" process. Meaning the first wave was the marine life and evolved into dinosaurs and birds. And day 6 was the second half which would mostly be the modern animals we see today and ones that went extinct because of us. Imo it makes sense that way. Also the Bible says God created light before the sun. Science also says there was light before suns existed. So if we go by my theory about the animals, then that would be twice in the first chapter where science backs up the bible. And honestly technically 3 times cus it says God formed man from the earth. Science also says that right? Because science still doesn't know exactly what humans evolved from. Meaning humans in itself is a mystery. And if science says we go BACK to dust, then wouldn't that mean somehow we're made of something similar to it? All our elements comes from "stardust". So does the earth. So even through evolution, we're technically made from the dust of the earth/stardust a.k.a elements from the big bang. Whether my answer satisfies you or not is honestly not my problem. I just had nothing else to do.

I was a Methodist Christian from birth to age 19. At 19 I went to Afghanistan and fought a pointless war, watched my nation and my self destroy a peoples’ way of life. I watched men, women, and children get gunned down, mercy killed, and saw the aftermath of what happens when one of them talk to us. I came home to a wife that wanted to leave me. I lost my faith completely. I didn’t see how the God I grew up believing in could ever allow what I experienced to happen.
I researched theology, sociology, psychology, and physics for the following 10 years, studying the bleeding edge of the sciences. Guess what I found out? We’ve proven that someone/something is observing what we’re doing and quantum physics hit the nail on the head; elemental particles don’t act like themselves unless we’re watching them.
My favorite example is known as the Dual Slit experiment, for anyone in doubt.
This decade of focused research lead me to accept with complete evidence-backed faith that we are in a created universe (or simulation, same result) and that the programmer (God, the father) created an earthly body for himself (Jesus) to show us the Way.
Simulation theory + the narrative of life = orthodox Christianity.

Somehow collecting into our solar system. 99% of it's total mass 75% hydrogen and 25% helium collecting in the center of a cloud with a diameter (being conservative, the diameter of Pluto's orbit) 3.7 billion miles. A Christian might say you're doing things "better" than them because you at least try partially to live up to God's moral standard: loving one's neighbor is objectively better than hating them. But without that standard, you just have a preference. You prefer helping rather than hurting people the way some prefer chocolate to vanilla. It's not better, it's not worse, it's just different. Of course, you know that latter perspective is rubbish because you're made in the image of God. You know the difference between helping and hurting is real and meaningful which is why you want to live that way. But you only get that meaning from the God that made you. "Unless you're professing faith in that morality-from-matter miracle and can explain it, the version of you that rescues children from burning buildings is not "better" than the version of you that puts children IN burning buildings."
It is remarkable that life arose on earth and evolved into sentient creatures who have values. If you want to call that a miracle...it is ok with me. And once sentient creatures evolved with their values they can certainly sort out what actions are better to support those values and which actions detract from those values. And a person who does his best to always try to make decisions that move him toward those action can consider himself to be doing his best.
If not for Jesus do you think you couldn't tell the difference between pushing children into buildings vs rescuing them...ie wouldn't know which was better to do? IOW, if you were an atheist, would you agree with what Dawkins said?
Consider something that is totally arbitrary...like the American version of football. The game itself is totally made up...and many of the rules are absolutely arbitrary. BUT, once the rules are understood and someone decides they want to play to win or want to support one or another team, there are objectively better ways to play vs worse ways to play and an onlooker can definitely and objectively say when a team is making better plays vs worse plays. IOW the best way to play to win is to always try to move the ball toward the goal. Plays that purposefully move the ball away from the goal are objectively NOT the best plays. So why can't there be 'best' ways to live one's life if they want to help make society better? So the person who doesn't want to harm children will definitely NOT think it best to put children in burning buildings and unnecessarily in harms way.
Finally, how does Jesus help in this issue? Why does Jesus think it's better for you to rescue children from burning buildings than pushing them into burning buildings? And why do his values matter to you other than the recognition you might get...ie the reward you might win for heeding his wishes or the punishment you might reap for failing to do what you think pleases Jesus?

For the life starts from no life: The term you might be thinking of is "primordial soup." It refers to the hypothetical environment on early Earth where life is believed to have originated. This "soup" consisted of a mixture of organic compounds, such as amino acids, nucleotides, and sugars, which provided the building blocks necessary for the emergence of life. The formation of organic compounds on early Earth is thought to have occurred through various natural processes, even in the absence of life. One of the leading theories is that these compounds were formed through abiotic (non-living) processes, such as chemical reactions driven by energy sources like lightning, UV radiation, and volcanic activity. Additionally, molecules from outer space, such as meteorites and comets, could have delivered organic material to Earth. Over time, these organic compounds accumulated in the oceans, forming the "primordial soup" where further chemical reactions and interactions eventually led to the emergence of life.

One major mircle he ignors is the TIME, SPACE AND 6-10 TRILLION GALAXYS providing limitless environment over UNIMAGINABLE time. We don't exist on a pinpoint with limited variables.

Point 1, I agree. I am not sold on the big bang. The rest are correct and demonstrable.

I love how he says "my atheist friends" i would love to sit and have a yarn with this gentleman. Im not an atheist but i would still learn more from him in an hour conversation that i could imagine.

I think these are good points, but if I had to look at the other side, my response would be that although we don’t have an understanding of the start of the universe yet, doesn’t mean we will always be in the dark. Order may come from chaos, or, we may be in the process of entropy, with living beings being the most efficient method for the universe to displace energy. Morality can be looked at as a generally accepted idea, not absolute, but with strong characteristics we relate to based on our evolution. I ponder these ideas

Big bang wasn’t the creation of the universe, but the expansion.

I have a friend who is an atheist all his life. I’ve known him for a long time. A couple years ago, I was telling him and maybe even showing him Kim Clement prophecies. He didn’t have a response. I said “..nothing? No response?” He simply just simply smiled in a friendly manner (cause it was all good and friendly conversation) and said “I just don’t care.”

Dont give up on him, Jesus cares for him, thats why he laid his life on the cross. Keep him in your prayers and watch one day, he might have a special encounter with Jesus

Not everyone will have an opinion on everything. It could just mean they're not interested. Just like I have no interest in going to North Korea.

Just look at the human body. Every single part of our bodies has its own specific job that allows us to function properly. That right there tells you everything you need to know!

He is absolutely correct. I like to point out that energy cannot be created as stated by the laws of science. Also the laws of science say the universe cannot be eternal. Yet the atheist has to believe that one of those laws had to be violated.

Doing what most preachers do, claiming that what we dont understand must be a miracle and Gods work. Misrepresenting cosmology and evolution which is not chaos
