@@rendezvous009 i have used both flagships from sony but i still prefer xm3. Iem and over ear sound very different. You get wider soundstage in over the ear while in iem you get better isolation than over ear unless you rocking anc headphones. iem have clear and punchy bass. People have preferences and i like over ear than iem, and believe me i have tried iem that costs 300$ or so.

On ear headphones hurt the ears after couple of hours....while in ear is bad for ears...
Then which on should you buy?
Is this true for all types of on-ear headphones in the market? Are there still any on-ear headphones that don’t hurt your ear?
@@kientran4818 I'm not aware of any but I'm also not familiar with a lot of the on ear headphones. I will say, though, that because on ear aren't good at isolating your ears from the outside, they have to have a decent clamping force and that's what causes the achy ears.
Over ear really is the way to go, though. Invest in a quality pair and you won't need another for years. At least until you get curious about what else is out there haha. It's not a cheap hobby but you can definitely enjoy music/games on a budget and still have better quality headphones than the majority of people
@@TheJbh147 I have an over ear that actually hurts my ears and an on ear that doesn't because it doesn't clamp hard at all. The over ear squishes the lower part of my ear.
@@HeyYouYouAreFinallyAwake have you tried replacing the pads? Over ear shouldn't touch your ears so maybe the pads just weren't quite designed as well as they could have been.
the only thing I am concerned about with the over ear headphones is the heat in the summer. I think that those would make me sweat a lot more?

Over-ears are definitely the best. They are the most comfortable and the best sounding. On-ears I'd say are more for those who want a good balance between sound quality and portability. They sound better than in-ears while being more portable than over-ears. Personally, I can't stand in-ears. No matter what pair I use, they all make my ears hurt. The fact that they go right inside my ears just makes them painful to wear.
Now that's what I call a technical analysis, I'll hire you to be a stock investor anyday. Great vid tho.

I prefer in ears. Over ear are heavier and you have that frame around your head. I get neck pain when I wear them for a long time. Got no problems with in ears.
In ears do damage your ears though. I recommend on ear.

@@user-zp5wb2wl9c i think that you should go for overear, because they are better for your ears than in or on ear, and are pretty breathable. I have on-ear, and they tend to heat up quite often. I would recommend overear for breathablility and comfort.

I don't think that's strictly true, at least if you're implying that they have an increased risk of damaging your ear drums compared to any other style of headphones.
What damages hearing is loud music played for long periods, regardless of the type.
It wont damage your ear drums if you don’t listen them loadly and for a long time
If you put the volume too high then absolutely. But if you keep it at a moderate level then it won't hurt you anymore than over ear headphones will.

Yeah i totally agree that over ear headphones are the best. I've been using my gaming steelseries headphones for more than 4 years. I use them for everything including music and one day (half a year ago) i tried in ear headphones first time in my life. It felt like, i don't even know how to say this just yes as you said once you've tried over ear headphones you won't go back to in ear guys. Although i started already from over ear.
But as they are pretty old, i consider buying new ears. I almost don't play games anymore so what are some good headphones to buy...?

But both over and on ear headphones cause pain on my head and on my left side back of my head 😭...I even tried the flagship models of top brands still facing this issue... Hi, I would recommend over-ear style headphones because they are better at blocking out ambient noise and offer higher sound quality. If you also play online look for headsets which are headphones that add a mic on the side so that you can be heard on the game. Hope it helps!

Hi, I would recommend you to use headsets (check out Jabra Evolve 40). You can also use common earphones, but the clarity in audio with headsets is far superior, plus you will have your ears safer since we're talking long term usage.

H, thanks! The JBL live 500bt and e55bt have their pros and cons. The bass will sound fuller in the e55bt, but the mids and trebbles sound much more nicer in the live 500bt. The mic quality is better on the e55bt while the battery life lasts longer in the live 500bt. Also the live 500bt uses a newer bluetooth technology. Personally between the two I'd go for the live 500bt. If you want, you can look also the AKG N60 NC Wireless, which could cost a little bit more, but sound way better than those two JBLs, offer battery life indicator, are lighter, have higher sound pressure level, have wider frequency of sound, better mic, supply a travel bag inside, but are on-ear, not over-ear, so you can tell they are more designed for on the go. Pues los over en mi experiencia te hacen sudar, son incomodos y si traes lentes olvidate, los on ear me han resutlado ser los mas comodos ni hablar del sonido se oyen mas natural (ya entrando en terreno de buenos auriculares) pues no te recubre todo el oido no como los otros que pareciera que tienes una cubeta en la cabeza jaja (al menos que sean abiertos) pero siempre me han resultado ser de pobre calidad (los over)

I wear glasses when I edit videos and I can tell it's not an issue for me. The arms of your glasses do blend well with the cushions of the headphones giving a nice feel.
