I never, never, never get tired of this song!!!!! I love this song so much!!!!! What do you think other Sweet fans? Isn´t this a pleasure, that you can listen and watch this kind, wonderful, wonderful, quick and talented band!!!!
Just fantastic, I started listening to them when I was 9 years old. Now Im 52 and still listen to Sweet.
great version! this is the sound of my adolescence, how can I be tired of listening to it?
My all time favourite - since I first heard it in 1975!
I agree!
Always and forever xo susy
This music makes me so glad. Grew up with the Sweet in the 70s. This must be one of the most underrated bands ever.
Yessss!!!!
I was walking down Edenbridge Dr in Etobicoke Ont a C.H.U.M radio car drove by I had a C.H.U.M Button on and won Sweets album Desolation Blvd. I think 1974 or 75. I was smoking really good Nepalese Hash then. It was a good day.
They were brilliant
In Germany they were not underrated at all. In the early 70's they have been one of the most successful bands at all... and the permanent competition with the Bay City Rollers was one of the biggest subjects in teenagers world of music.
should be in the rock and roll hall of fame
I am 61 years old and I will always be a true ROCKER and SWEET will always be in my mind for the rest of my life.
Same to me! Same age!
62 and still listen to Sweet on a regular basis
me ... 63 ... same ❤
Im 57 and the same. I have just write on twitter that my favorite singer of all time is Brian.
61 the same 😂
My uncle showed me Sweet when I was a child.... he was a big fan and so do I. He passed away in May due to COVID and these songs just make me think about him listening to Sweets' songs
😢
So sorry 😢
I will be 59 years old in two weeks, and I never get tired of listening to the "Sweet." Their music will rock on forever!
I am 63 and feel the same brother.
Count me in, mate's!
Only 56....but I love sweet...my dad gave me "desolation boulevard" album on my birthday,I turned 10yrs
now he is gone....but I still have the lp......😥
I was in high school when Sweet hit the radio stations in Southern California! Their music is nostalgic!
I'm 58 years old and a fan since 46 years.
These 4 guys made fantastic Sweet-Music 🎶🎤🎸🥁👍.
There's no other band like Sweet 😍
Unforgotten and forever in our hearts 💕💕💕
Спасибо SWEET ! Браво Brian ! Помним и любим !💖
In Russia too love SWEET !

Its 1975 and I'm 14 with my headphones on Saturday morning laying on my bed again listening to this cassette over and over after a wake and bake. Man the memories, can't I just go back.
But this is 1974
I understand that, but I didn't buy it until '75.
@@bobloblaw2958I wish we could go back 😊
Im from germany and 63 years old, the sweet will be ever a part of my life. Will never forget this time, Rock and Roll, first love good times.......
This is freaking superb. The harmony when they sing together is incredible. RIP Steve
Yes this is one of my favourite songs from the Sweet top band I feel like I've gone back in time to when I was 16 years old great music
Seven years since my last comment and I can see where Daltrey got his mike swinging from? Great underated group the Sweet.
Listen to this about twenty times a week, love it,please take me back
Me too.
Ищу поклонниц этй группы!!!
They were amazing ! You can clearly hear the influence Queen got from them, WAY under-rated band. R.I.P. Steve ( + Brian & Mick )
you really CAN hear that. Thought it was just me imagining things lol
great song!
Great live performance saw them at Newcastle city hall about 1972 they were AWESOME
This is my FAVOURITE sweet song ,but I LOVE them all ..Brian was sooo gorgeous
Another child of the 70s here, I was lucky enough to see the band in their prime. Confession time, I went expecting an average night of pop, boy was I wrong, they really rocked, I came away converted. Rest in Peace you three, forever missed.
I had the pleasure of working with these guys back in 1974 at Hull University in the UK, just 8 days after this video was recorded on the 6th Dec, even better than meeting them all I had the very enjoyable pleasure to stand stage side with Brian, Andy & Steve whilst Mick did his drum solo which seemed to go on for ever during "Man with the Golden Arms" it is remembered by me as one of the best memories of my past, God bless Steve, Mick & Brian the worlds missing some decent guys.
What a great moment that must have been for you. You’re very lucky, they were an incredible band 💕
Amazing
Share more stories like this! Some of us never knew the Sweet until it was much too late.
What an awesome memory.
Beautiful ! One of a kind ...lov them all
Beautiful beautiful voices !!!💗 Cool live performance !!!🎶🎸🎸🎤💕💕💕
SWEET forever !!! 💖
Brilliant 🤸
Brian really loved this song. When I become a musician, I will cover this in his honor. Love you Brian, this world sucks without you. 1945-1997
What a brilliant band Sweet were.
Still are. Andy is still going, and they still sound great. Although, they're not actually Sweet anymore, considering Andy is the only original member still living.
@@AFloridaSon I remember the cancelled Dunmow Festival around 2003 had Sweet on the billing. When I phoned up to ask which version, they told me it was BC Sweet! I couldn't believe how low some people will stoop for a buck.
I started playing drums at 12 in 1976. I am so thankful that I was able to learn from Mick Tucker. There harmonys were absolutely out of this world. You've got a band who every one of them could sing. A drummer who i.m.o. was the most underrated drummer in the history of rock. A lead singer who was pure gold, and songs that were arranged so well. The Sweet is one of the greatest bands to ever form. They almost sounded like Queen when the all sang together. I loved them then, and I still love listening to them now. Unfortunately someone, somehow mismanaged their contracts. They should have been multi millionaires after they sold so many records. Somebody got very wealthy, but it wasn't them. Not for as many albums they sold. Love you Sweet! Rest in Peace. Brian, Sfeve, and Mick. You are sorely missed brothers!
Najbardziej szkoda Brian'a, gdyby nie ten alkohol... Mick, dla mnie to jeden z kilku najlepszych bębniarzy na świecie! Oni są nadal ze mną, choć w 3/4 już w niebie...
@@diterkalla3725 I tried to translate what you wrote, but couldn't.
RIP Mick Tucker...a kick-ass drummer, one of the best.
Very underrated . I tell people to watch him in this and it blows their mind...... "No You Don't", Musikladen 11.11.1974 (OFFICIAL)
@@rdhudon7469 It is my favourite Sweet song. I didn't realise how good they actually were, as a kid in the 70s but time has proven them to have an incredible talent. They might not have written their own hits but they were an incredibly gifted band nevertheless!
Didn't know Mick was dead, Sweet were my growing up group in my teenage years, so, so sad.
Mick was a great player...perfect for the band.
@@JohnSmith-dk7to Unfortunately he died from complications brought on by Leukaemia in 2002. 5 years after the death of Brian Connolly. I saw Sweet play live twice in 1974 and 75. Mick Tucker was an absolute top class drummer.
The Sweet did some really stunning performances. Whole band is dripping with talent - and great songs to boot!
Great band
A sublime performance. This band is to be treasured. They inspire and amaze. Even to this day.
ich liebe diese stimme von diesem typen....einfach super der ganze gesang....
I will be a great fan of your beautiful and hot music SWEET as long as I live. Especially I miss you, my favorite SWEET Frontman BRIAN. I loved your music and your great voice. RIP! You are and ever will be my dreamboy of the 70ths!
Mind blowing how good these guys were … I never knew they were such an amazing live band … this shames most of todays singers .. just so good !
62 here and love Sweet even more now that in the '70's
Love the Sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bloody brilliant!
These guys were amazing
My god were they great live!!! What a tight band!! “Desolation Boulevard” remains a classic.
Yep, it burns start to finish. 🤘🔥
Brian's favourite song. Was played at his funeral to.
Mick Tucker, Phil Taylor, Keith Moon...3 amazing drummers w/very similar styles, r.i.p guys and thanks for the inspiration. 🥁🤘
So amazing band😿RIP Steve,Brian,Mick ,life going on with out you ...thanks for your music.🇬🇧
🎵 Stephen Norman Priest (23 February 1948 - 4 June 2020) was a British bass player known as the lead and backing vocalist of the glam rock band Sweet. Thanks for the music, Steve! 🎵
Brian Connolly was an amazing vocalist... sweet wouldn't have been on top without him. RIP Brian Connolly......gone way too soon.
He was just fabulous and we miss him. Any fans or members that agree with me?
@@gabbygossett7812 .Totally agree. He was a great Vocalist. They were a band were all members could sing as well. People are now saying that, Queen were very influenced by their
Harmonies. Don't know how true, but it wouldn't surprise me. Sad Brian declined from Alcohol so quickly. But was it just Alcohol induced Dementia that people say?
I've always wondered about all that.🎵🎤⭐🎶🎸✨🎵💋
@@gabbygossett7812 I sure do agree with you ... I miss him so terribly and so wish we could turn back the hands of time .. a beautiful, beautiful person, inside and out. Music coursing through his veins, always upbeat, ready to smile -- and always, always appreciated his fans. Terrific stories that continue to surface about how just "regular" folks met him and how genuine and approachable Brian always was. Speaks volumes for his character.
Absolutely right, without Brian Sweet are nothing, He made the band.
But if you think about it, even with Brian's fantastic voice, this song would have been dead in the water if it were not for the talent behind him. Andy and Steve on strings, Mick on the drums. The four of them weer beyond amazing.
Underrated musicians with unique variations in harmony! Never boring & always entertaining!
Nice bass sound (better than in vinyl). Perfect composition!
Brian was the ultimate frontman , incredible voice he did an amazing job without exuding any ego
one of their most beautifull songs....
Meine Zeit und für mich das beste Lied von Sweet
Absolutely fantastic, vocals , tucker on the drums , so glad I was part of that era,
We forget just how BIG Sweet were - so many fantastic hits. Grossly underrated as musicians. Still love listening to them
Life is better with Sweet-Music 🎶🥰💕
@@metaldoctor
Well, this is mimed, he couldn't sing with gum in his mouth when singing live in the studio.
@60s Man 60s Guitars no.........................
ok, once again, another great song. Who said Brian can't sing? He sounds fantastic. I like the sound of his voice it sounds great with the others constantly singing the extremely high notes. Steve is tearing it up on bass. I love hearing Brian and Steve sing together. I also like when Brian and Andy sing together. It took ALL 4 of these guys to make magic
Brian was great just like the others
Brian can't sing now, because he is dead. In the mid-1970's, he was beaten up on the street and kicked in the throat. This affected his vocal cords & the alcohol did the rest. This was before all that. This was Sweet at its peak.
@@KingOFuh why did he get beat up
@@colonelaid5206 Accounts vary, Steve said he thought it was a set up job while Andy said it was Bri stopping his car from getting smashed up. Of course, the only person who knows the truth is unwilling to tell
mick tucker 1 of the greatest drummers ever
I totally agree.
craig. Not one of the greatest,,the greatest 👍
craig udontneedtoknow yes !
Mick Tucker, Ian Paice, John Bonham, Carl Palmer, Cozy Powell and Roger Taylor were the best 70's Drummer's! All British! They influenced all of the American rock bands!

I've realised in recent years just how good Sweet were musically back in the day, we kinda took them for granted as a teenybop group, but the more I hear the more I love them and apologies for not appreciating you guys more back in the day.
Holy shit! This is the best version of this song....EVER!...period. End of story!
