    I love seeing the captain run to the pump and prep his firefighters hose while they mask up. As well as how he also masks up grabs a tool and joins his firefighters. Nothing better than a captain that leads from the front and isn’t afraid of getting dirty with his firefighters unlike most captains that grab a radio and stand back watching the show.

      I've wondered why you don't usually see this. It is an emergency, after all.

    LAFD, the Best FD in the country. They are trained to treat EVERY fire as fast as they can. Fast in scene and fast with knock down. Good work!!

    Another great onscene video, as usual! I just got an onscene vid too, of PHX Engine 20 extinguishing a vehicle fire.

  • @KillerTruffle
    @KillerTruffle 4 года назад +3

    I was clenching a little bit at the start of the video... the filming was a lot closer than I like to be when a gas tank is venting like that, just in case it goes.

      Goes where

    • @KillerTruffle
      @KillerTruffle 4 года назад

      @@dirkdiggler2507 It's not uncommon for compressed gas tanks (propane, LPG, etc.) to explode during fires, or at least to blow their pressure relief valves. That creates shrapnel, and that can cause injury or death. It's not generally considered wise to be in close proximity to an exploding gas tank.

      This is quite often what transient RV parking looks like. Not used to seeing it on a main thoroughfare like this though; here they're usually in industrial areas.

    1:57 thats an odd color yellow. It almost is elemental sodium yellow, but theres nothing in an RV that would be elemental sodium, so im going to assume its probably a wood product combusting at a low enough temperature that the soot is glowing
