Anyone in the DUP taking responsibility for anything is something we will never see.

The fact that this coward has been granted a barony and the title that goes with it for her vile policies and irresponsibility is disgusting. She should never have been granted it or at least be in danger of losing it when she has this attitude!
Now that is sadly disgraceful, she couldn’t do her job at the best of times.
This whole peerage is a load of nonsense and outdated,,,
Titles & (so called) honours are ten a penny these days. I would feel insulted to be considered for that club!
For sure , hateful and coward !
All the more reason to reform the HoL, and get gutter snipes like this out of politics for good.
total arrogance and bordering contempt for the enquiry. No wonder she works for GB News, she has all the credentials required.
Remember that enquiry has the same standards as a court and contempt can be issued.

Arlene Foster is a fine example of why the House of Lords should be abolished.

She and her colleagues believe the world is only 6,000 years old. Her relationships with science, reason and human decency are somewhat distant at best!
That’s putting it mildly
It's most unlikely that Foster believes the world is only 6,000 years old, given that she's belongs to the Church of Ireland and isn't a religious fundamentalist. She is, however, an extremely nasty person who hates Irish people and one of the nastiest leaders, in my opinion, that the obnoxious DUP has ever had.

@@odunadhaigh I'll concede that but her colleagues en masse are creationists so she is guilty by association.
Do these people have any idea how horrible they are?
The Millwall of politics: "No one likes us, we don't care"
Most are incapable of feeling any kind of empathy when they are 'in the club' follow the money.
Not only do they realise how horrible they are but they take pride in it. Covid19 was a cross community pandemic so if Arlene had done her job correctly nationalist's as well as unionists would have benefited, so in their mindset better let the unionist community suffer than risk any benefits to the nationalist community.
What a piece of Work the arrogance is off the scale!
Thanks very much Max for sharing this with us. She always has an arrogant expression. She doesn't care
VILE !!
Foster shows contempt... Im shocked, shocked I say.
Wow! Talk about nasty nasty - the leopard doesn't change its spots
A tiny snapshot of how the Catholic community have been treated for many years by some.
From the inception of that bastardised reqion but thanks to those who challenged this in 1969 and the continued support it got until 1994 when Unionist Apartheid was overthrown all the while and even now our UK Gov have supported Unionism no wonder we are hated there
Like when priests bugger the altar boys?
Rubbish, such hypocrisy! How about the arrogance that Michael O'Neill and co from Sinn Fein showed by attending a Terrorist funeral during the COVID restrictions when no one else was allowed!
Complete Indifference Utterly Shameful!!
Baroness ? Only under the Tory’s.
Baroness Ballbag
DUP'S Arlene Foster shows contempt. COVID is a minor part of it.
She did the same during the cash for ash scandal, who me? Guilty? How dare you! Baroness bullshit is her real title.
She is so unpleasant and never understand how she even got voted in by anyone decent
She was voted for by DUP supporters, so no decent people were involved.
She didn't there are no decent DUP voters
No empathy, no apology and always blaming someone else for her incompetence #Narcissist
For sure!
They should be criminal inquiries, then she'd have another tone in answering questions, and whoever is in charge should be able to hold her in contempt and either fine her or a weekend in the local jail. She's a despicable person and a worse politician.
Yes along with those Sinn Fein MLAs including the now first minister Michelle O'Neil who broke COVID restrictions in attendance of a Terrorists funeral while telling others they couldn't have normal funerals for their loved one's.
There are a number of people contributing here who pointlessly mention how ugly Foster looks but not how ugly her heart and mind are.
The contempt she shows here is just disgusting, if this were an actual court of law, she'd very likely be held in contempt of court for such behaviour, absolute pile of excrement...

Well, that's the DUP right there. Use any underhanded technique to promote their agenda while vilifying others for political points, whether or not those others and not themselves are to blame.
This is the Unionist arrogance that we have been forced to deal with since the plantation.
The quickest way to a United Ireland = give the DUP air time
A united Ireland requires both Ireland (26 counties) and Northern Ireland (6 counties) to vote for it in two separate referenda. The more air time the DUP get, the less likely there is to be a united Ireland, because fewer people in Ireland will vote for unity with Northern Ireland.
Arlene Foster the minister responsible for the RHI ( cash for ash ) scandal which cost the U.K taxpayer close to half a billion pounds, truly reliable person and total arrogance at its best.
Well said.
She refused to stand aside while investigations were being made into same RHI debacle, thereby causing Sinn Fein to pull out of the power sharing government at Stormont. She blamed Sinn Fein for 'collapsing' the democratically elected executive. Nothing to do with her.....naturally.
Hasn't the UK government put her in charge of nagoating trade or something, if so they really must want to icolate Britain from the rest of the world.
Where is the money foster ?
Shhhhh
Arlene is the personification of bitterness, and spite.
She is a self proclaimed born again Christian as many in the DUP are only difference between Jeffrey and her is she doesnt continuously wear the fish symbol irrepective of reality
It looks like her nose has got longer , The Award ( Barroness) should be removed from her.

In November 2020 the DUP twice used the ‘St Andrews Veto’ to block the extension of public health measures proposed by the UUP Health Minister Robin Swann (on the advice of the NI CMO) to contain the pandemic by extending existing restrictions, which were supported by all other parties. This veto was used again to block the extension of existing regulations by one week. Subsequently the NI Executive agreed that 'circuit-breaker' restrictions would be extended by one week with partial reopening of the hospitality sector. While Sinn Féin opposed this on the grounds it was not going far enough, it never used the ‘St Andrews Veto’.
The ‘St Andrews Veto’ is not the ‘Petition of Concern’, which is a GFA safeguard regarding legislation and other measures in the NI Assembly. This veto used by the DUP was introduced after the 2006 St Andrews Agreement and relates to decisions made within the NI Executive (i.e. cabinet of Stormont Ministers). The ‘St Andrews Veto’ is grounded in two significant changes, which were as follows:
▪ The veto changed how Executive decisions were taken by introducing a processwhere three ministers (without any criteria) can require a NI Executive decision to be taken on a ‘cross community basis’, rather than by a simple majority;
▪ The veto significantly extended which decisions need to be taken by the NI Executive as a whole rather than individual ministers. It could be applied to any decisions that are ‘significant’ or ‘controversial’ and not in the Programme for Government.
This occurred a month after Edwin Poots claiming in October 2020 that covid cases in nationalist areas were ‘six-to-one’ greater than in non-nationalist areas, which he blamed, in part, on the Gaelic Athletic Association.
She’s like a character pulled from a Roald Dahl book.

I got a chance to watch some of this today. She was squirming under questioning. She deflected a lot & did throw Swan under the bus. Its the heating debacle all over again
She never did answer for the unaccounted money did she, no indeed not.
Truly shocking. How must the victims feel about this behaviour.
Wow! Totally outrageous. She obviously spent way too much time with the Tories 😡
I think it's the other way around, british politics has been corrupted by its association with the DUP. The rudeness, the bigotry, the sheer disengagement from truth and reality have always been the default position of this odious bunch of freaks. Like them or loath them the tories up to John Major and going back Anthony Eden had a certain noblesse oblige but not any more, did you know that Ted heath fought in the Spanish civil War? On the Republican side? Could you imagine any of the spivs and bigots that make today's tory gangsters risking their life and liberty for anything that didn't personally benefit them? No, my friend, the most destructive force to ever come back from the island of Ireland and on to the backs of the british people wears an orange sash and spreads hatred like the worst pandemic imaginable.
Her time under Boris possibly didn't help.
Her attitude doesn't come from the Tories - it comes from being a "born to rule" Unionist
Arrogance is the fall of the DUP

vileness...
Absolutely despicable !
Contrast that reply to Michelle O'Neill who apologised for her mistakes.
The Shinners were caught 'banged to rights' over the Story funeral. They were totally arrogant in flouting the regulations on gatherings when their grandees from North and South of the border attended the Story funeral en mass.
@@chattyrat3354 yes and she apologized for that and other things.
@@RazorMouth They knew damm well at the time what they were doing, but their arrogance knows no bounds.
Any half heated apology from them has never acknowledged the harm that was done by undermining the regulations on the restriction of gatherings.
@@chattyrat3354 at least she apologized, I was comparing that to this. Nothing more.
@@RazorMouth And the heads of one Minister, the Deputy Speaker of the Seanad and one EU Commissioner rolled over golf-gate, which was a much smaller affair.
No heads rolled over the Story funeral. In that context, apologies are cheap.
Foster, Northern Ireland's former First Minister, is set to be appointed chairperson of a new body to promote trade within the UK looks like we are in for more shit to hit the fans
Will be interesting to see if the post for the head of Inter Trade UK will be advertised and recruitment overseen by the Commissioner for Public Appointments in Northern Ireland. I'll hold my breath.
It's difficult to see any good in her. She is either condescending and arrogant or licking up to some English Tory who she thinks is superior to her.
What a horrible person. No redeeming qualities at all.
Arlene is the headline act for their ilk
NI decisions cost lives in the border areas in Ireland too and having 2 jurisdictions in the island limited Ireland's options re response to the pandemic.
Indeed, but Ireland still provided much better protection as verified by the figures. The total deaths due to Covid in Ireland (i.e. Covid is the certified underlying cause of death) as published to date is 1,350 per million of the population. The same figure in Northern Ireland is 69% higher at 2,278 Covid deaths per million. This despite both jurisdictions having very similar demographics.
@@dellhell8842
Yeah, Ireland did way better but its response was hampered by having an open land border with the UK which resulted in a higher number of cases and deaths in the border region of Ireland.
The usual attempt to hide incompetence behind arrogance...
I was /am responsible and not accountable / i was accountable but not ,i was responsible .Its my job .
Perhaps GB viewers will empathise a little more with Nationalists in NI, seeing first hand the arrogance of Unionists, particularly the DUP, which Nationalists have had to endure for decades.
So what did unionists do at the hands of Sinn Fein IRA?
@@geordiewishart1683 I do not understand your comment, please rephrase it. Thank you.

Clearly in politics for Nr 1.
Arrogance is the only word
Isn't there recourse to a contempt charge?
The one at the top carries the can. Has she never heard that. As first Minister she was accountable.
Utter contempt, disgusting.
Why not come out and say the executive is not like the UK cabinet. Under power sharing there is no collective responsibility . Each minister has total autonomy.
This should be a criminal investigation, those who were responsible should face jail.
The fact that Robin Swan could be running for a seat in Westminster and remains popular, might have something to do with it.
Robin Swann switching from North Antrim to South Antrim could be interesting, especially if the TUV also run there to 'quare' the pitch for the DUP. Alliance and Sinn Féin have similar levels of support there, so could be worth both of them stepping aside and giving an Independent Cross Community candidate a free run.
Good work shining a torch in the dark corners of politics and revealing the truth
Her and her crazies have done a lot for a united Ireland !
Not really; both jurisdictions in Ireland must vote in separate referenda for a united Ireland. Every time the DUP opens its mouth, there are people in Ireland (the 26 counties out of 32 part of the island) who say "I'll never vote for unity with that awful place" meaning Northern Ireland (the 6 counties in the north east). The speediest way for a united Ireland to happen is if the DUP fades away.

After the renewable heat incentive scandal, another instance where Arlene Foster refused to take responsibility for her actions.
The present First Minister Michelle O'Neill did not cover herself in glory at the inquiry either but at least she grovelled and apologised for her Covid transgressions. A case of too little too late I know, but it was a lot more than Arlene Foster gave.
The Shinners knew damm well what they were up when they gathered en mass for the Bobby Story funeral. With their arrogance the Shinners showed total contempt for the people of Ireland north (max 30 mourners at the time) and south (max 25 mourners at the time) with an estimated 1,500 people attending the Story funeral.
A lessor event in ROI resulted in a Minister, Deputy of the Seanad and an EU Commissioner falling on their swords and resigning over the breach of covid regulations.

Oh I thought it's birthname was Arnold Fester & Sammy was Turnip Head Phd (Probably Had a Drink)💚🇮🇪🍻
She or any other politician was not responsible for deaths, covid was, if anything the politicians acted in a far to restrictive and cautious way. The fact of the matter is the vulnerable people with underlying health conditions should have been protected quicker and the rest of us should have carried on as normal ( like Sweden ) rather than all being put under house arrest.
I realized that not only former politicians can't be held responsible, but the same goes for politicians holding office. OK, they can be voted out of office, but that goes for anyone holding office, good or bad.
