All this war and suffering and loss of lives on both sides could have been avoided, but USA want the minerals of Ukraine. Typical trigger happy USA
Putin has lost 300,000+ troops in Ukraine, and yet controls even less territory now than 2 years ago. Putin knows he's losing, and is getting desperate
I think it's a tough deal for Ukraine but they are in a very precarious situation. They've lost a lot of young men in a country that is already in a demographic crisis. It's one thing to egg on the conflict from your comfortable home in the west but the longer this war continues the harder each side's resolve will be not to make any compromises and seek total victory. If you're rooting for the war to continue and for Ukraine to defeat Russia totally you better be willing to join the front line yourself. It's easy to make bold statements when it's not you risking your life.
You think Putin will stop wanting parts of Ukraine and Europe once the bullets stop flying? He'll wait a few years, restock and rearm his military, rebuild trade relations with other countries, then try again.
Likewise it's quite easy for you to make comments about surrendering territory to make peace when it's not parts of your homeland being invaded and cut off by your neighbour.
It's mostly middle aged men that are fighting at the frontline, the average age is about 43. Also you talk like your opinion is above the Ukrainians. They want to keep fighting so we should help them with what we can spare. Anything else is bowing to Putin and accepting that it is okay for bullies like Russia to go on imperialistic annexation sprees which will only encourage further attempts like it in other places around the globe. If history teaches anything it's that appeasing autocrats never results in a good outcome.
The problem with this war is that a lot of people think this is a detective story. Well, it is not, it is Big Politics. And in that sphere, Might is normally right. Remember the Monroe doctrine.

That old chestnut. Poor old Putin Only invades countries to stop NATO expansion. Only problem is Putin wrote a paper during lockdown stating why Ukraine shouldn't exist as a nation. And maybe invading your neighbours isn't the best way to stop them from joining an opposing military alliance. Just a thought.
@,lembadaka: Then give Ukraine the nuclear weapons that it had before it ceded to the Budapest memorandum. With a neighbour like Russia, why wouldn't other countries want to join NATO? Give him what he wants and he will stop?? But they already gave him crimea, look what happened... He's losing that's why he wants a ceasefire, don't give in to him and instead double your efforts to retake ukrainian territory.
Nobody gave him Crimea, he took it when Ukraine collapsed in a coup. They made a deal with Ukraine for peace, which Russia kept despite its people suffering in a 'Ukraine territory' that didn't go along with the coup. Ukraine decided to break that peace agreement which then led to an invasion which didn't quite succeed as planned, but it still going on today. If Russia had any sense, they would have taken it all in 2014, instead they gave Ukraine the time through a peace deal which was never sincere. Even those who helped Ukraine make the peace deal knew it was nothing but hot air designed to buy time for Ukraine to arm up and fight, which they ultimately did, they broke the deal and were willing to fight for what they wanted. That gamble didn't quite pay off now did it? Even then, Ukraine preferred to fight when it was clear Russia was also willing to. Joining NATO when Ukraine wasn't at risk was worth risking its stability, and its population. Now they're at war, lost tons of territory and will only lose more as time goes by. If I was Russia, I would never give Ukraine a chance at continuing to fight back against me, they've already proven untrustworthy, the West is my enemy who seeks to surround me. I would want a buffer zone from my enemies, which he could take and use from Ukraine. You can also be certain Russia will pay the countries back that have attacked them through this proxy war. It may not be today, nor tomorrow. One day, they will have the strength and the resources to hit us where it hurts, through shadow operations.

Hope that it is a part of negotiations. Thin line as Ukraine willing to join NATO... you can't actually force them not to... so leaders must decide. Again, we need to have Zelesky tearms on a table!
The next offer will be even worse. In 2014 Ukraine could keep Crimea, if they would follow the power transfer agreement with Yanukovych. They chose to violate their own Constitution and remove President Yanukovych from the office. Then they lost Crimea as a result. In 2015 Ukraine signed the Minsk agreement. They lost Crimea, but could keep Donetsk and Lugansk as part of Ukraine, granting them some level of autonomy. In 2022 Zelensky decided to abandon Minsk agreement, losing Donetsk and Lugansk as a result. They had the chance to stop it here, following the Istanbul agreement. But decided to continue the war. As a result they lost part of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. Plus they lost about 600,000 men KIA and millions, who fled the country. Next iteration will be worse. Ukraine is doomed. They have no industry, workforce, resources to rebuild the country. Even, if they reclaim their territory (which is impossible), nobody will stay there as soon as they open a border. After two years of war, they still don't have air superiority, and they lose more planes as they can rebuild. Yeah, no wonder you can say that the "regular army" is not in Ukraine when Putin constantly raises the numbers, which Putin has done. He is sending immigrants to die. He buys people and tricks them to go to the front. Their economy is okay in the moment, but that is a typical phanomenon at the first year wars. They're going to run out of money in two years max. Also, that is the biggest problem here, which is dangerous for Russia, even if the war ends, show me a country that has Russias demographic change and can sustain that kind of loss in the long run? There are so many reasons for Putin to end this, and this one is the strogest. And believe me, Putin knows and believes it, or else he wouldn't have started his war in 2022. The year in which even Russian scholars long before said, if Russia wants to start any military conflict, it has to be in that year because after that, they won't have enough people to fight and keep the economy alive at the same time. And now, with Sweden and Finland in NATO and the plans failed, Ukraine never to be conquered (would only take around 200 years on that rate), Russia can't keep going for much longer, without collapsing shortly after. They are in an empire destroying war (again), but the empire that falls is their own (again). It will be interesting to see if the West buys them out this time, like they did in the 90s.
Let's remember that before this started Russia clearly went to the UN and international media to explain what was happening in the east of Ukraine. Russia also said that if they advance while no deal is agreed, those territories with Russian in them are going to be kept by Russia. Also, take into account that the US does the same thing so it is not a fair assessment to think that Russia should just accept what the West wants. There's clearly a power struggle here between powerful countries.

It's not the first time that Putin is saying something like that.
Exactly, Putin has been very clear that the attempt to join NATO is the reason for the war, BBC is fake news
Oh, that's rare thing I witness: common sense.

Begging for Peace talks!!?? Or begging for forgiveness…still trying to look like a tough guy before his own people that he’s most afraid off…offending…which he did right from the beginning…as the war drags on casualties will keep mounting something he’s unable to hide furthermore’s…
Casualties are mounting on both sides. Ukraine's economy and infrastructure is also much worse off than Russia's.
So peace is good for everyone.
First
Russia honours its dead, and they give the names of the fallen .. it is not taken lightly , but respect is given also to the families of the ones who give their all.
It is not the U.K. who gives no respect to those who serve, leaving them homeless and without the follow up care that is needed . Are just a thought once a year, whilst parading past the very ones on the streets they are supposedly “” thanking””
President Putin received 97% of the Russian people’s vote in the election a few weeks back. Something that no western leader has ever managed .
Unlike U.K. .
The president and the prime minister and all the other senior decision makers meet in a regular basis and discuss their options and then they tell the people ..
So President Putin doesn’t hide the numbers the situation Or the general plans that the combined leaders have decided. He does not do this alone .. and couldn’t it’s not possible .
The terms presented are because Ukraine collapsed months ago and now the real conflict is over .
They are different for sure to the terms of peace that both Ukraine and Russia agreed to back in April 2022.
Before Boris Johnson visited and promised all the might of NATO to Zelensky , who believed those promises. As soon as Ukraine turned away The money poured into Ukraine and NSTO began its proxy war using Ukraine .
The Russian ppl are behind president Putin , and that is why over 1.500 are volunteering to join the military averagely per week.
For the past 2 years the Russian military had increased , voluntarily x3
Today they out number USA 3-1
The casualties of Russia has been 1-7 Ukrainians .and their mercenaries
Sources military and former CIA analysts .
Sources for the peace agreement 2022 the Ukrainian negotiators .
In 2 years
The might of NATO hasn’t moved Russia an inch from the ground of the Donbass regions they moved to protect the Russian civilians living there.
Offering terms of surrender is not begging for peace .
It is offering Ukraine a way out of further bloodshed shed and further loss of territory .
It is also stating what has been RETURNED to Russian rule, as voted by the ppl of the Donbas Regions . Will remain as that is what the people want .
Unlike Ukraine who cancelled its elections ,. Which now puts Zelensky as the illegitimate leader of Ukraine As He cancelled the elections and his term of office ended couple weeks back .
So has no legal standing to speak for Ukraine..
Al information given can be checked and is available to find..
Just not in the main stream media .

You are aware that 3 Russian fleets did not leave their harbors.
And the Regular Army (by conscription) is not participating in the war with Ukraine.
What are you talking about? Russia today produces many times more weapons. shells, missiles, drones, tanks than all of NATO combined.
Before you write something, think with your head.
@user-ir2oo4wo3g I actually think with my head and the numbers you're using do not fit what is shown here. Their fleets are not in a good state, or else they wouldn't constantly lose against a practically landlocked country. You can't, because there isn't one. Yes, all Western countries have a demographic problem, but none of them has a bigger problem than Russia. When they don't stop that madness soon, they won't have a workforce left before there are too many old people. Their economy is ending.
@@РоманМореHe's an idiot.
Let's remember that before this started Russia clearly went to the UN and international media to explain what was happening in the east of Ukraine. Russia also said that if they advance while no deal is agreed, those territories with Russian in them are going to be kept by Russia.
