If something is advertised as a next gen update than I expect all new textures and new meshes for character models at a minimum.
Yup, this is just a big joke.
I thought the game looked better but I realized last time I played fo4 was like 2 pc builds ago 😂
It’s a free update. You’re not entitled to new textures and meshes for a 9 year old game.

@@phantomblade3740 Read the patch notes, it’s not hard. It’s not a remaster. It is supposed to increase fps and boost resolution and it did just that.
Id prefer a remake..but that would take them 10 years if this took them 2
I don't really like the setting/map of fallout 4. but I've also beat it alot of times so could be partly that I'm just sick of the game since I played so much

They broke the entire structure of the game for what you could get with simple content and bugfixing mods LOL You gotta admire how little these companies actually care about their consumers. And they still wonder why people pirate games and use offline-only versions
the update seemed it was kinda based for playstation players, as it was almost impossible to play on ps4 and ps5
@@youngsteve1088 I recently started playing fallout 4 again on ps5 and everything worked fine. I downloaded the cheat room mod which worked, speaking of which does that mod still work or did it break?

I don't even know why we even got it considering mods have fixed issues....and now there are new fresh bugs.
@@superbananas7792I think if you are on steam you can just reinstall the game but make sure only launch through fallout script extender ..you will have to edit you display setting manually unfortunately because if you run the launcher it's gonna update the game I believe ... unless maybe you do it through offline mode ? idk but I'll try it when I get home
This update can't be 2 year work.
After the succes of the tv séries , tod tell his team that we need to do something to f4, then they start working on the update from monday this week.... bethesda never change..
a single dev started working on it 2 years ago. He worked on it one hour every two weeks. The update took two years to dev😂

The only one dev working for 2 years was only Tod him self. He need 2 years because He forget how to use creation engine 1..

On the one hand, sure, it looks a bit nicer now. On the other hand, screw them for pushing back Fallout Londons release.
The baseball launcher and grenade launcher is invisible for me. The base ball launcher shoots error triangles and the frames are terrible now. And the guns I had on my wall from mods are gone but I can't use the rack they were on it's so broken 😢
I'll do you all a favor and just say: Wait until they patch everything. Every mod that uses SKSE is currently broken, Bethesda's mod manager on XBox is crashing (also they didn't raise the mod storage limit for some reason) and the creations and updates to the game aren't enough to justify coming back to the game by themselves.
Their reasoning for not upgrading mod storage is because if they did supposedly it would completely reset everyone’s mod list but if you’re making all the mods unplayable what difference does it make

Game crashed nonstop when I updated it my mods are gone and i cant download any cause it won't let me definitely needs another update to fix these new crashes.
Nooo way you too my mods are all gone and creation club items I bought on an old account aren’t accessible
I don’t know if it’ll work for you but I deleted my data/my saves and mods to work. After that you should be allowed to install mods. Also this is I did so yeah.
so I just figured out that you can’t really play the saves with mods on it. I’m pretty sure it’s just for cheats or something else I’m not sure.

the only way to fix your game is if you made a backup of your files is the only way or if you find a downgrader but it will maybe fix it
Did they fix the freaking pink dlc glitch or the automaton dlc crash ?
They did and included it in this new update I had same issue. Now all fixed.

It's a bit worse than that. It's creation club content you CAN'T remove from your game, it automatically installs itself, infecting your save file with its poor implementation and mediocre 'quests' (They don't deserve to be called quests).

The game was already 60fps on PC and Series X. So all we get is a some free Creation Club content and bug fixes? Oh, and all our mods broken?
Playstation users couldn't even play the game properly half the time that's the onky good things the update did was making fo4 playable on ps5
I haven't downloaded it because it would break my mods. So am I safe to assume I shouldn't download it till the mods are fixed ?
The update was mainly for PlayStation users i know most people are misinformed but the dlc would not work on PlayStation so this iodate should fix that and others bugs

I don't think he is using any mods for the HUD/UI. He may have used the ini files to either increase their height.

This game still looks incredible after almost a decade!!! And now it's smoother and looks better than ever.
I am starting my first playthrough ever and I'm in love with this game...I'm glad I waited to play it so I could experience it the way it was meant to be experienced...
Remember they made it seem like this update was going to be mind blowing and basically restart everyones interest in fallout 4.... Just a reminder this took them 2 years

I just started since it’s on Xbox live game pass right now. Never had consoles from that generation, but played fallout 3 and new Vegas on the 360 and had a lot of fun back then.
Did they fix the super long loading screens on ps?

as far as mods go. its not to bad so far. I honestly modded my game for a year or two before I ever installed it. not to many mods on there require the script extender

im not updating this game ever. i aint going to deal with Bethesda ruining the modding scene for yet another game of theirs because they update it years after it was seemingly abandoned. Skyrim did that and now i dont play it at all because all my mods dont work anymore. I aint taking that chance with fallout 4

@@ryanjenki7948 i shouldnt have to play without mods when mods are what keep this game alive. you might be a purist piece of shit but i actually like having fun with my games and not playing with a lacking amount of content. so you enjoy updating the game and having lack luster content to play with while ill keep it unupdated and enjoy hundreds of hours of high quality content that Bethesda has nowhere near the skill to make.
@@ryanjenki7948 None of the bethesda games is complete at the time or after numerous patches. Its always broken, buggy, glitchy, unfinished. Bethesda games are alive because of the modding community. FO76 was a disaster. Starfield is a disaster. There are no mods for these two games because they are utterly horrible old old gen games. Mods is the only reason games like Skyrim and FO4 came this far.

The game ran perfectly great on my series s console. Even ran better on series S without having to change any settings, unlike the X. No freaking way am I updating with all the Xbox mod ports of dead mods. There is no reason for me to upgrade it when new gen already ran leaps n bounds better than old gen.

everything they have added was already on nexus all they did was forcibly install a handful of mods that were made by actually talented people and call it there own

Yes, can confirm, it works. Many console mods were unaffected. It'd be PC that is having issues with mods, as the script extender would be broken. The problem on console is that the mod menu is currently broken.

i only played maybe an hour of FO4 back in the day. got a mech suit and a mini gun and stopped playing

Played the new update and had 4 game crashes with in 30 mins on PS5. Awful! Il wait for Fallout London on PC. I also noticed that I had to run the game on super easy mode as the raiders and other bad guys were so brutal I died very easily?

For whatever reason I can’t get near sanctuary hills now.
America Rising 2 did Enclave better, even though both were done by the same person.
There’s a plethora of makeshift weapons on the Nexus that do it better.
The damage done to Mods is ridiculous, just for small performance boosts that Mods already do better.

Evan as an Xbox Series X user, i agree with you. It's nice, but it's just ok. As for PC users, i'd say nope. They can already do everything better.
There's no difference between PC and console these days.

My game is completely broken! From load order being non existent, reserve ed space completely broken and going into the negatives and crashes even trying to download any mods, ALL OF MY NON MODDED SAVES GONE, EVEN MY ORIGINAL FROM THE GAMES RELEASED. That last part alone pisses me off so much I can't even comprehend my anger. Im sure I'm not the only person with these ridiculous issues but I've not seen anyone else report any of these yet I've experienced on Xbox.
Safe to say, I'm very much considering just completely uninstalling the game entirely now. Losing my original non modded saves just killed it for me. Not to mention the fact the update doesn't even seem to add anything decent enough to even make it feel next Gen imo.
Back to Starfield and Skyrim I go I guess.

I can totally feel you! I'm planning on playing Fallout 4 in the future solely for modded settlement building and that alone... They've just added an extra layer of problems to an already old game. I'll make sure to avoid this idiotic "next gen" bs when I reinstall mine

All my old saves are there but the game keeps crashing.
It "fixed" all the fun i was having with mods. Hundreds of hours of fun and tweaking mods and load order for maximum efficiency and no crashes. Now all the world i built has been obliterated thanks to a fix that changes things that were never an issue for me. So the only noticable changes ive seen is the fact my game is broken and i cant enjoy what i had built. So i deleted the game as its not worth playing now. My settlements are now half built with missing build mods my character is completely wrecked with all rhe enhanced mods, i dont even have a head now. My guns are gone my perks are gone my character followers are gone. Basically everything i mixed into the vanilla game that enhanced it like they claim this update would do are gone. So #*@$ you Bethesda. Ill come back in a year when i feel like restarting a new game and checking put the updated mod fixes.
Same here. Tried to pause and cancel mid way through the update and ended up uninstalling the game. Goodbye 500 plus hours if building with mods.

Bethesda is digging their own hole in the ground. Took them forever to do this "update" also can't forget about the garbage product "76" they released and took how many updates to get it working without crashing over the course of how many years?? About done with bethesda.. they hype their stuff up and left us disappointed tet again. This is giving me the same vibes as bungie before they left the halo franchise. Fallout has already hit its peak and it wont go back to where their best was at.

I tell you in the first 43 seconds of the video you can skip the patch notes. In the patch notes is where I go over the bug fixes. Don’t need to be so rude
I like playing the game on PS5 with all the mods. It no longer crashes in the beginning with the dlc's. I won't update

It's a bug, you will be able to upgrade if you are playing it through a subscription. They are attempting to fix it.
For me, no. I've spent way too much time on this game and it takes over 100Gb of my SSD thanks to modding. This lazy update is just Todd wants new players to buy the game due to the success of the TV series, nothing more. Eveything this update does, the modding community has done years ago, and they've done it better.

Watch Elder Scrolls 6 be complete glitchy trash too. The foundation for these games are so simple and yet they find a way to make sloppy updates everytime. This is a offline game too not too complex like an online game. I wonder if any Bethesda workers ever tell todd howard these updates are trash and we should put more effort in these. If I was todd howard this update would be 10x better.

well for me its not cause i got more then 600 mod.. and my game already look like a 2030 game and all what is in that new update its been out for over 2 years with mod... so that update is nothing but a broken game again.. so for me nah is not worth it. PS MOD FIX MOST OF THE BROKEN GAME. i play on pc
