When you have a line through the music symbol it means it's muted. God knows how you would un-mute it but there must be a sample way to do that. I did like the look of that art deco Radio Station Building, I think it would make a great private property. Good to see the Can Am out and about in inclement weather, it seems to handle windy weather without any issues.
As far as your glovebox lock is concerned, I tested mine. It worked. My steps are, turn the handlebars, full right. Without depressing the key, turn the key counterclockwise to lock. If it doesn't, the bars aren't pushed over far enough. Remove the key. The glovebox locks. It doesn't release. As the stereo goes, check your source button on your keypad in front of your seat after you start the bike. It should toggle BT Audio, FM Radio, and Aux. Also, check your button on helmet-speaker mode, in front of your seat also. If it makes you feel better, I've hit the horn button numerous times trying to hit the blinker. It just takes time for muscle memory to take over. Don't be afraid to ask questions. All of us started and the beginning. Hope this helps you buddy.
For CanAm Spyder in NY, to get an EZ-Pass online, sign into to your account, find the "Add Tag", choose Motorcycle for vehicle type, for the make, choose "Other", for the model, choose " Other" as well. Have a picture of your license plate saved, as you will need to upload that picture. (JPG file, PDF file, and there are choices for picture file format for upload). I have 3 motorcycles, including a Spyder RT. The other 2 are Royal Enfield, and CFMoto. All 3 are registered with EZ Pass as "Other" and "Other" for make and model. Also, I keep my EZ Pass tag under the lid of the frunk, pretend the frunk is a windshield, and stick it up near the highest spot, a little right or left of center, at the top/widest portion of the inner frunk lid. It works fine there. My previous 12 yr old tag stopped working last summer, because it was old and needed to be replaced, other than that, it always works fine.
Not positive on this but have read that the 2024 is to have apple car play but as I understand it. BRP hasn’t released the patch to enable it yet. So you get the big 10” screen but same BRP experience until they enable the Apple Car Play patch. Question is when. Should be enabled from day one since it’s advertised as having it. Hence all the frustration with BRP on the 2024 models.

These are questions you need to ask yourself when you make your headline and descriptions. Also, keep it short, if the description is chunked up, it is too long. Short and punchy is better. Hey there, I’ve got the 2020 Can AM Spyder RT and for the life of me BRP Connect is useless.. one day it works, next a no go.. phone connects then decides not too.. my solution, I’ve just installed the Slingmod, model A 12V Cell Phone/GPS Docking Stations with Dual USB Charge ports and purchased a cheap Apple Car Play Mobile device off amazon. Power the Car Play from the USB Charge port in the docking station and got an AUX extension cable so i don’t have to rely on BT for MUSIC.. it’s perfect solution for a bad design solution by BRP. Glad to see Apple Car Play in the 2025 Models.. wont need the docking station solution.
The LOCK on the steering & glove box are done after you turn the key OFF, turn the steering all the way right or left, then TURN the key counterclockwise to the LOCK position. The steering & glove box are now locked. Also, I have had my 2022 RTL for almost 2 years and I haven't figured out the radio either. And additional note: My original battery lasted less than 1.5 years, even on a trickle charge & riding weekly. Now I have a lithium battery. We'll see if it lasts longer.
I am a Spyder owner in Nebraska and frequently watch videos. Much to my surprise, I was much effected by this video. I have traveled this route while visiting my relatives on West River road for 30 years or so until my brother passed 2 years ago and the house sold. You turn left on love or fix, just before getting to his old house(1153) so you can imagine my anticipation watching the video. Thanks for bringing back fund memories.
You seem to have the radioset properly to FM, however I couldn't tell if you had the volume turned up. The volume switch turns the radio on and off. Fortunately for me, I had an excellent salesperson who had shown it to me when I picked up my Sea-to-Sky (he also had paired my Android phone to my Spyder, which saved me a lot of aggravation) . I don't know what could make it stop working. Just found your channel through Spyder Wayne. Cheers!
@@SpyderChrisYT also the whole Buss system is Bosch and BRP is using it on too many platforms such as skidoo and side by sides plus watercraft. The bar was set to high and thus part of the reason for licensing Car Play which probably cost them $1,000 per unit on the 24’s.
Looks like you should claim on the guarantee for that quad lock, unless it was user error! I have the ram mount & haven’t had any issues with both my iPhone or my garmin gps. Don’t like the BRP go system what so ever, too complicated & doesn’t work most of the time! You have to go to settings to sort the radio out, but it is very touchy! I have 4 vehicles. Im considering a spider or another Colorado ZR2 .ive been watching all ur videos lovem dude. Ur making ne lean to the spider unless i have to switch to an apple.that could be a deal breaker.
Thank you so much. Apple Carplay is only on the 2024 models, so you could buy a 2023 like mine or earlier model and not worry about Apple. Or you could buy a 2024 model and just not use Apple Carplay.
Of note the 2024 will have Apple car play but they also stated most android car play functionality should still be viable. Check with BRP and Android. Just not sure if they mean android has to use BRP connect (crap) ? Yet iPhone can use the new beautiful screen for Apple car play.

I just had the Slingmods chargers installed as well.

You have the radio muted. Hence, the slash through the music note. Just adjust the volume up and that should fix it.

The dash is a Bosch design and complaints are probably 2/1 against the dash, hence the reason the 24’s having car play.
I’m shocked it’s a Bosch design. I thought they were better.

I’m also hitting the BRP connect button sometimes when I want to downshift.
The Bluetooth slow connection is ridiculous.
Every cheap car/truck I've driven the Bluetooth connected almost instantly ,but not a Spyder.

If you get a Cardo Packtalk Edge....it includes a very good FM receiver. The Can Am radio is poor.
Ur phone issues are because u have apple anywas..galaxy the way to go.😀
