Scott, can you include the Australian market? When you say this market… I get the impression you feel prices may go up again or have we seen the peak for some time. Interested in your thoughts

I can do that. I think the market here is Oz will start to increase again perhaps later this year or early next. It could still go down a little bit before then TBH. I hear people are pulling out of new Porsche orders as they can get a second hand car with low km's for $100K less, so why buy a new one.

Have to disagree at 4:15. A safari 911 is going to appeal the a much smaller classic air cooled 911 audience. Unmolested 911 SC examples are still north of 60k. A recent platinum metallic 1983 sold for $76k, Light Blue 1982 $74,500 and a 1980 black $74,911. Plus add the BaT 5% buyers fee. As of mid Feburary 2024, buyers are still willing to pay close to $80k for an original 911 SC and if you are waiting for pre 2019 prices to return, unless your willing to buy one that needs a good bit sorting, and that's your $42k -55k cars, good luck.

I still struggle to understand the crazy high porsche prices down here in OZ.

I think the Oz market still has some adjusting to do and car manufacturers I think are in for a shock. Why buy new when second hand prices are dropping so quick. No more flipping cars for a profit, back to them rolling out the show room and losing a ton of money

Picked up a 1982 911 SC for $41K US from a well known antique classic dealer in NY. They originaly had it listed for 52k in September 2023 when they first listed it. By early December they dropped it to 49,500. I spent a week in negosiations on price in December and got them to take $41k. Things weren't moving then plus add in the Holidays factor. It has 62k miles and was a Florida car. Good shape but needed some paint chips touched up which I'm almost finished.
