By far, the best thumbnail I’ve ever seen
I could watch a movie of Margot Robbie just walking around talking.
Yes
I agree, and I'm a straight woman lol
May I recommend to you the movie Once Upon A Time In Hollywood?
@@mariolopez3728
Well thank you, I already have it on my list
@@dorothyd4804 How about Focus?
It’s David Fincher vs Quentin Tarantino vs Christopher Nolan
This is going to make some people angry but it’s going to be a lot of fun
Cody doing 31 on 31 on his 31st year of birth? Inception 🤯
Finally someone has put The Prestige in its rightful place, the top 5
Cody, you should make a 31 on 31 on Stanley Kubrick, James Cameron, and Paul Thomas Anderson movies. It adds up to 31!
Kubrick: 13
Cameron: 10
Anderson: 8
OH YESSSSSS
that top 10 would be mostly kubrick id guess
Kubrick would certainly dominante the top 10 but There Will Be Blood, Magnolia, Boogie Nights, Terminator, Terminator 2, and Aliens would be heavy competition.
@@JoaquinJr are you kidding?? Definitely
Everyone needs to like this comment
@JGGAMER989 Another cool idea for Cody to do would be to rank Stanley Kubrick and the Coen Brothers. Kubrick had 13 films and the Coens currently have 18 films. They add up to 31 too.
This had to be the hardest 31 on 31 to do. So many flawless films. Another great list Cody. Can’t wait for the next one.
Cody, my man. Bravo on the work. The list is shocking and exciting, love here you delve into my 3 favorites.
I completely agree that Panic Room is completely underrated. That was the film that I watched from Fincher that I started to see his stylistic choices and fell in love with them.
Yes it deserves so much more praise and notoriety.
Loving the intro!!
I'm very surprised as we have very similar rankings. I'm gonna hop on your 31 on 31 trend and do a video. 😊
Bro this is probably the best 31 on 31 there has been. I love about 28 of these movies and hearing yours and everyone else’s perspective on these great films is fucking phenomenal Cody. Makes me wanna watch them all over again my dude
Half of these movies are masterpieces. It's the toughest 31 on 31 yet. It's so hard to rank all these films. I think I'd try this week to do it.
I am just so fucking excited for this😁😁😁😀😀😀, and what a kick ass thumbnail
Subjectively, Zodiac is easily my favorite movie of all time. Objectively, it's the best directed film on the list. I say that because of the lengths Fincher went to recreate not just the details of the case but San Francisco in the 60's and 70's. I've watched it 5 times in the past year and I catch multiple new things every time
You have chosen wisely.
That is correct!!
1. zodiac
2. reservoir dogs
3. fight club
4. the prestige
5. pulp fiction
6. gone girl
7. the social network
8. the dark knight
9. batman begins
10.girl with the dragon tatoo
me too bro. easily the best or top 10.
I watched it last night for the first time it's so well done, it flows so smoothly (for me anyway). I found jake gyllenhaals character so captivating, I feel like his performance in this probably gets overshadowed by stuff like nightcrawler since it's more reserved and humble.
This is probably my favorite 31 on 31 because throughout most of the video you are talking about good movies and it is entertaining to listen and watch you talk about movies you love.
Yes
So many good movies, must have been hard to rank! Great work yet again.
Awesome ranking. Love to see Prestige getting the respect it deserves after finding it so low on Sean’s list! Always thought that was a masterpiece.
I love how you're explaining so well why each movie falls where it is. I actually understood every placement you had, and I really respect your opinions.
Keep up the good work!
Awesome list brother! Can’t wait for more great content
Enjoyed this list. It was personal and your explanation for placements was completely valid.
Awesome list Cody! I do not envy you guys for having to rank so many awesome movies haha
It’s always a good day when Cody uploads a 31 on 31!
Great thumbnail and video as always!
That thumbnail is bloody brilliant!!!!
Outstanding video cody, I was kind of shocked by a few spots but your top ten was what I thought it was going to be. My favorite movie on the whole list is se7en. Probably my favorite Kevin spacey role other than the usual suspects.
Another great list, Cody (although I probably would have reversed the order of your top two). Oh, and you're right about 'Zombieland' coming out before 'Social Network' (2009 and 2010, respectively)
Awesome vid loved Bryan’s cameo!
Yes can't wait for the stream great list!!!
Awesome video Cody
While I disagree with a LOT of this list (social network for sure) 😂, I really enjoy watching your rankings and seeing how everyone receives these movies. Sometimes just watching and yelling WHAT?!?!! is part of what makes this format and series work for me. Kudos for giving Insomnia and Gone Girl love as they seem to be underrated. Good job on yet another 31 on 31. I'm slowly making my way thru all of them. Oh, the klan scene in Django is comedic gold 😂
Great video mate
Great list Cody, may not agree with some of them but still a great take on these movies
I just watched pulp fiction for the first time and I love it
What a brilliant review of Death Proof :)
The Best of the Best. Epic Opening as always routinely outdoing yourself with these wonderful 31 on 31s.

Great list cody ❤💪
Loving it Cody
This is a great video. Would’ve been interesting to see how the Scorsese movies would’ve ended up had he been one of the choice directors.
Insomnia is extremely underrated
Fantastic ranking man 🙌🏻
Thanks buddy
Thank You for giving love to "Panic Room" Highly overlooked film :)
You know the thumbnails good when half the comments I’ve seen have been about it
That has to be one of the greatest thumbnails I have ever seen
That intro is pure epicness!!
Very good and entertaining ranking. My top 5 would be Seven, Fight Club, Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, and The Dark Knight.
“Jackie Brown” is one of the most underrated films of all time.
Yes it is as underrated as pulpfiction is overrated
@It’s blitz yes it is
Definitely not, it's pretty widely loved. Cody is the exception not a rule.
I gotta agree
It's my least favourite Tarantino movie. Just my opinion though
I love how different this list is than the one I have in my head. Makes it so much more interesting how different everyone's thoughts are on these films. Opinions are like assholes but that doesn't mean I have to be 😇
The Day we have all been waiting for! Curious to see when te word "epic" comes around for the first time. In this list probably very soon
Alien 3...EPIC FAIL
Haha nice, and true. Are you guys planning to do a recap? I see a lot of different opinions so I think a discussion would be truly interesting!
"Damn good"
Dude, I totally agree with you when it comes to the prestige, think that it is a very underrated film! The first time I watched it I was blown away, I immediately watched it again, one of the few times in my life I have ever done that. The concept, the performances...perfection! Might be my favourite Nolan film.
Overall, I very much enjoyed your rankings. I may differ on a few of them with you, but totally respect where you are coming from. A lot of the Tarantino movies I would have ranked lower, not because he is not a great film maker, but I feel that both Fincher and Nolan have a lot more to say in their films, where I think that Tarantino pays more homage to his influences rather than coming up with original material, not to say that I don’t appreciate that, but I am more intrigued by the risks that the other two filmmakers take. Love your content, can’t wait to see how others on the Autopstream rank these directors films.
Much love Cody, keep up the good work!
Always dig Cody's vids...he's very candid and real with his reviews. I just wish RUclips had a feature where you were able to disable someone's background music...that heavy metal made it difficult to focus on what he was saying (yes, I'm ADHD :) ).
I'll take it into consideration. It's very difficult to find background music that works perfectly. Its either a tad distracting or it's barely recognizable and pointless.
@@CodyLeachYT honestly man, it's quite likely that this might just be a "me" thing vs anything you'd need to consider doing differently. In any event, keep up the great reviews/rankings 👍
Great video Cody and I found for me personally that the dark knight gets quite boring at times but that's just me!
I don't know why people get so pissed off by someone else's movie opinions 😂 I honestly love these videos because of your unique opinion
It's weird ill never understand it
I completely agree with you on Batman Begins. I might have had it even higher. TDK used to be a good bit higher, but BB has grown on me so much.
Fun that your top three has one from each director!
Geetings from the Sean Chandler community. 😃
Awesome video man, where did you get that chucky shirt from? We don't have much chucky merch in New Zealand
In Se7en when the “sloth” victim opened his eyes and gasped for air…ya know, people describe jump scenes dramatically for effect but when I say I left my couch, I am not even exaggerating 😂 Of all the scary movies I have ever watched, when I think of most effective jump scares, that is where my mind takes me every time. Even now it still gets me no matter how many times I’ve seen it. It’s genuinely a perfect film.
"They don't offend me on a personal level" made me laugh so hard!
This is a hard list!! Do these even have a bad film to their credits. OK maybe Alien 3. Excellent job as always Cody, my favorite of all of these films would be Se7en, but again hard list. Finished it, and I must say good job with a good list. 31 on 31 idea for March, Stephen King adaptions, your views would be extremely interesting to hear.
Excited for this 1! Bummed there wont be a debrief tho....
What I love about you cody is you're not so eager to call a movie the worst thing ever made or the best film ever made, you're always honest and Express your opinion
Great ranking Cody. I love all 3 of these director's. Tarantino Is my favorite director of all time. The only 3 film's I haven't watched yet are The Social Network, Mank and Tenet. My ranking As of now from my favorite to my least favorite Is.

27. The Prestige ( i respect the filmmaking but I'm just not the biggest fan of the film. Seen It twice might need to watch it a third time to see how I feel about It. )
28. Alien 3 ( Bad film )
Well cody leach I saw fight club like you said I should. And I want to say that it's now my favorite of all 31 of these
Cody, I've got tons of respect for you. Especially when you make your case for some films. I enjoy all of your movie reviews even if we disagree on some films. Here's some of my thoughts on the list:
Not a big Fincher fan.
Have no desire to see any of the bottom 3 films.
Love most of Quintin Tarantino's films. Haven't seen Django Unchained or Once Upon A Time In Hollywood yet. I'll watch Jackie Brown sometime this year. Death Proof is one of Tarantino's best.
Dark Knight Rises was an overall let down. Batman Begins was slow to start but once Bruce Wayne gets into the Batsuit is when the film gets cookin.
Memento is far too confusing to me.
I challenge you to review the Director's Cut of True Romance.
Wow. What a creative thumbnail.
Wow have to ask who designed the thumbnail? It's amazing looking!
I actually didn't like TDKR at all when I first saw it, but after 7 more watches since then, I honestly started loving it more and more, and it's now my 4th favorite Christopher Nolan movie
Yes TDKR is an unfairly maligned film.
Hey Cody I know there are more than 31 but I would love to see u guys do a 31 on 31 on Carpenter and Craven films. I’m sure some of the TV movies and such could be trimmed out to get it down to a consensus 31 of the best. I’m sure fans of your channels would love to see this ranking
That opening was sick!
what an epic intro!!!
1. Batman Begins
2. Dark Knight
3. Zodiac

28. Death Proof
29. Jackie Brown
30. Alien 3
31. The Social Network
Enjoyable ranking!!!
Oooh exciting!
Fincher is easily my favorite director. I think most of his films land in the endlessly rewatchable category for me. WIth Nolan and Tarantino I really thing most of there stuff is really good to watch once and then theres not much reason to go back to it. The only exceptions to that being The Dark Knight and Inception for Nolan. I've never really felt very compelled to rewatch a Tarantino film, especially his early work. But I rewatch Fincher movies all the time. They are cinematic perfection in my book.
I've seen Reservoir Dogs over 40 times. The acting/characters are that enjoyable to watch.
What my conclusion about the Inception ending, I agree, is not about whether the totem fell or not. To me, it's about Cobb finding his peace, whether a dream or not, it's HIS reality and it doesn't matter. He's home to his kids, the one thing left for him to live for.
Another awesome 31 on 31
Panic Room NEEDS a deluxe Blu ray release
Out of the three I got to say that David Fincher is my favorite director
Same
Sorry for missing this, life happens!
Interstellar would be in my top 3. Love that movie. Great list brother. So many good movies here... Almost «Impossible» ranking all these films just because of the quality.
You guys should do the Scott brothers film rankings! :)
Dis gonna be good
love the alternative movie posters you showed. did you looked on purpose for those instead of the original ones?
No I search for a poster and choose the one I like most
@@CodyLeachYT ah then you have a great taste :)
We have very divergent opinions on Tarantino movies but I always appreciate your rankings. They make sense even when I disagree. As for The Dark Knight; I've been turning that flick off after the Joker is captured for years now. That ending never worked.
Kill Bill is Tarantino's best in my opinion.
Let’s go so many movies here that are great what is Cody shutting on?
Inception is my favorite, followed by Se7en
Same
"With her and Vivica A Fox fighting" uh I think you mean with Uma Thurman and Vivica A Fox fighting lmao
Yeah you should definitely rewatch Mank. I felt the same when I first watched it but 5 minutes of research made the movie 1000% more interesting

In defence of alien 3 its a damn miracle that movie even ended up happening, even to the degree of what we got. Plus I love the bleak tone it sets as (what should have been) Ripley's final movie, sure it ended up killing newt and hicks but I believe that was purely studio meddling. Also the mostly British cast was absolutely amazing, from Charles dance to Ralph Brown all phenomenal actors
