What other kind of videos would yall like me to make I wasn't expecting this video do do as well as it has! Thank you all! I'm restoring a 55 willis wagon with my dad right now and have considered recording that. Or maybe a how to drive manual video maybe I can try to teach my girlfriend lol
I want you to make a video where you add an aftermarket fog light to your versa from Amazon or eBay because I found out 2024 Nissan versa came standard with fog lights in Canada 🇨🇦 and australia 🇦🇺
On the 2025 model, Nissan discontinued the blue color on all Versas, not just manual ones. And at this point, if you're going to order a Versa, it'll be a 2025 model, and thus won't be available in blue. However, 2024 Versas are still being delivered to dealers now (as of November/December 2024), some of which are blue manuals. So if you're lucky, you may still be able to get one, but it seems like most of them are being sold even before they reach the dealer's lot!
I had to get mine shipped cross country, dealership told me it was the first blue they had seen in a manual there wasn't one within 500 miles of my location had to wait 2 months almost to get it.
@@benjaminreneau8866 same situation here almost on my 2024 Versa S manual electric metallic blue . I put a down payment on the only one I could find - one that was due to be delivered in 3 weeks to the dealership , which was 250 miles from me . glad it worked out that way though because the dealership gave me a lifetime power train warranty . love this car so well worth the effort to get it .
You say it's short-geared, but it seems to pull well in higher gears. They're a cheap city car, but will still be happy at expressway speeds. CVT 1.8 sits at just on 3000 at 110. I love that battered old shitheap.
I bought a 2024 Versa, manual in Electric Blue. Took two months to find a manual. I've had it for about 3 months now, took one 1200 mile road trip. So far, love the car. Fun to drive, way better mileage than that stated on the window sticker, good enough power for freeway, as long as stick close to the speed limit.
Awesome vid! Would you say this is a fairly easy manual for a first time stick shift driver? I’m picking up my ‘24 from dealer tomorrow and it will be my first time. Diving in the deep end!
Yeah you got this just give it a little gas (get it around 1500 to 2000 rpm )and ease off the clutch slowly you'll get a feel for it. Once the revs stop dropping and start to rise you can get off the clutch. There will be a tighter spot on the clutch that youll feel and that's the bite point where the car will start to move. Stick isn't hard it just takes practice on flat ground you can even just ease off the clutch and get a feel for the bite point without using any gas id do it in a parking lot or something I wouldn't recommend not giving it any gas in traffic. You got this I did the same when I was 18 bought a manual car with no idea how to drive it had it down pretty well within a week or two. I'd highly recommend finding a dead spot in town and just keep driving around stopping and starting that's what I did.
@ dude I appreciate it! I love your driving it’s so smooth and you make it look easy. I’m 39, never driven stick, and just decided screw it, gotta learn somehow lol. Im in a small town so I’ll practice in parking lots. Just gotta get it back home from dealership 20 miles away with highway lol
@@benjaminreneau8866 update: driving this thing is a blast! tons of fun learning. any tips on 1-2 upshift to make it smoother? no matter what i try it's jerky as heck! thanks again!
@kch9394 I had that issue too I kind of treat it like starting still jerky sometimes. I ease off the clutch and ease into the gas at the same time. It's kind of hard to explain but basically I go the slowest off the clutch when starting and from first to second. Also I noticed it got better after like the first 1k miles. Clutches are basically made out of the same stuff as break pads so they have a break in period
Do you know if there’s a temperature gauge on this? I know some cars don’t have one so obv it’s not necessary but just curious about it. Also, might sound stupid and not too sure if anyone can answer this, is rev-matching necessary when downshifting in this? The one time I took a manual out to drive to learn (5-speed Chevy spark) the person I was with who owned the car never rev-matched when downshifting nor did I when behind the wheel. Just curious since I’m not entirely sure about it.
There isn't a temp gauge at first I was irritated about that but I'm used to it now I've had alot of cars without one. You don't have to rev-match but I usally do if I'm going to overtake or something it's just easier on the clutch.
I'm going to get a 2025 here in about 3 months. I'm very excited. When I'm not riding my motorcycle, my wife and I will commute via 5 speed manual Versa. I'm getting the grey one with carpets in the cabin and trunk. Armrest will be there as well. Thank you for this refreshing content. What sort of setup do you have?
Make some more videos about this car i want to buy my first new car im 23 but i have no credit but i heard nissan has a program where they work with first time buyers do u know anything about that? Im looking at getting the 2025 but i want to go ask nissan about their first time buyer program with no credit but im nervous about it if u know anything about that or can u make a video on how that process went i would love to see it
I have credit and have bought alot of cars so I'm not shure. But the best way to build your credit is get a few cards and only use at most 25% of your limit and pay them off every month the end of every month.
I had a 2020 and it was my first new car. I got rejected at first but the manager said he'll make a 2nd call to the finance peeps. It was a bad deal , the total cost would have been just over 36k after I made every payment. I tried to give it back after the 1st year but they never accepted so I let it get repo d . I did have issues that year
I know Toyota and probably a number of other auto manufacturers have first time buyer program as long as you don’t have bad credit even no credit is just fine but the stip is you have to have a four-year or higher college degree. Titled college grad finance offer
In my experience, most dealerships won't sell you a car with no credit score if they do, you need a co-signer and your interest rate gonna be high. Also even you have credit score but then they found out you only have 1 credit card they still ask a co-signer for the car still with high interest rate. However, if Nissan versa is under 20k you can down half so that you only have 10k loan I’m sure you can pay easily monthly.
Hi Ben! Excellent video! For the power windows, can you roll the driver window up AND down with 1 touch? Or is it 1 touch down only? Hopefully, this question makes sense
lol that is like saying you would rather a rental car. I recently had a similar car with a manual transmission 1.6 L. It was cheap and did everything I asked it to do but was severely underpowered especially in any kind of hilly or mountain area. And on the highway it was much safer going 70 than 80. This would be a perfect first car new or used I'm happy Nissan still makes it. Something tells me it won't be around for long though.
Hey, how is this true, rumors nissan will not survive the company soon? So what if Nissan's totally gone where are you gonna go for maintenance especially those that are under warranty? Are they going to pay their own oil change etc.🤔
@ your correct also that's my point not all of us can do their own car maintenance most people relaying on free oil change when they purchase new vehicle for example toyota has 3 years or until 35k miles free oil change or Subaru 5 years etc. so if nissan gone . I guest they gonna go somewhere now and pay from the pocket.
Do you have to depress the clutch pedal all the way to the floor while shifting like older cars ?? Haven't driven one for so long with a manual transmission
Are you tall or is the camera on your hat? It just looks like the cameras in headliner and if you're tall, and wearing camera glasses, I'd suggest tilting your seat back. I cant imagine driving like that.
I don't have alot of money I inherited the toyota from my dad and bought the suburban for $900 a few years ago and the others I just have good credit my girlfriend wanted to drive the hrv so the agreement was she has to make the payments lol. I'm still in school living off my VA disability I basically put all my money in cars lol it's a problem.

A lot of people who ordered the center console armrest say it's very small and gets in the way when shifting the manual.

Usally around 38, the gauge is pretty consistently over by about 2mpg compared to the math I do when I fill up
