"There's a light theme, which is way too bright" with a deadpan face was hilarious. Thanks for the tutorial man!
Bless you for updating this. Started on the outdated video and ended up here.
Excellent tutorial! This is exactly what I was looking for. But is still cant connect from my iphone
Excellent tutorial! This is exactly what I was looking for. I'll be moving over to Proxmox soon and have been wondering how I'm going to change over all of my client config files from my current wg-easy setup. A number of clients are Firesticks at remote locations, so not the simplest to get a new config file on them. I'm thinking I should be able to copy the public key from my current configs to a new tunnel on this new wireguard dashboard, and basically clone the parameters on this new setup, so that the existing clients don't lose access?
Great videos. Keep doing what you're doing. Love the focus on tteck's scripts. Looking forward to getting started with Proxmox soon.
Great video. I had trouble connecting from outside my network though. on the device the endpoint seems to default to the internal ip address so I just manually changed it to my public ip and it worked flawlessly.
Thank you. I can now move my wireguard off my old raspberry pi and use my proxmox server :)
WGDashboard looks a little different now, but I followed this tutorial and it just worked...thanks!
Great tutorial, Love it thank you!
Thx! 😘Best regards from Germany!
Love your stuff! keep it up! :)
preesh
Thanks, please could you make a video with wireguard site-2-site thanks
If you want to save some time avoid this mistake, because it took couple hours for me.
Settings -> Peer settings ->Peer Remote Endpoint. Should be your external ip, not internal ip address.
Excelent, I have the 3.0.6 version, I need that video of how to update wireguard please.
WireGuard Installed Done But how can i Installed WireGuard in Proxmox Backup Server & Configure for remote Location
I can't seem to access the internet or anything after connecting to my tunnel. Do you know why that would be?
are you connecting to the tunnel from a different network
@@BarmineTech Yes I'm trying to connect using my phone data
@@DaAznT did you figure this out?
@@DanyalRashid99 Unfortunately no. Couldn't figure it out
@@BarmineTech yeah this video is literally half the instructions. Doesn't explain in detail how to then access your network from a remote location.
I am running into an issue where, when I attempt to add a peer to the configuration, I get kicked out to the login screen. have you seen anything like this yourself?
Great video! Question, when the container gets rebooted, the WireGuard Configurations are off by default. Any way to configure them to turn on after a restart? Thanks!
Looking for the exact same thing, would be great if @Carmine could explain that. Happened several times now that I wanted to tunnel but it wasn't enabled.
@bartn4495 @RazeNet i am unsure why this occurs since i didn’t make these scripts or the software. however i did open up an issue on the github for this so will see if i get an update
it appears that this is a known issue for the dashboard and is currently being worked on for the next update

The only VPN that I use/deploy is HTTPS/SSL.
That way I never have to ask to open ports or do anything special at all (and multiple VPNs work over the same incoming port!).
Good video, very helpful. Only issue is @11:56 "opening the external port for wireguard" is not accurate. In order to access the server from outside, need to specify either DDNS or Public IP address, instead of a private IP and port (in the Peer Remote Endpoint field). The port forwarding needs to be done at the router. But this is the configuration for the clients/peers on how to get back home. So it needs a valid public IP or Dynamic DNS.
@@JuanJax this needs to be pinned tot the top @barminetech
hello i will try to ask , i dont know how to setup a pfsense in proxmox with wireguard to add a new public ip ( VPS provider ) and use it with VM inside the proxmox can u help me with a tutorial ? Thx
Is the Wireguard website down?
Would it be possible to use wireguard to access home-assistant from outside the network to inside. {Using a Fritzbox router/modem}
most likely yes
@@BarmineTech I would have to look into it, sadly documentation is a bit annoying as most redirect/refer to the wireguard addon for HASS.
Since I would like to keep it separate, and run it on proxmox in a container, as not to pollute my HA system, with too many requests/potentially malicious data.
Yes, works for me.
already follow your tutorial, done port forwarding too but connection refuse. i can connect the vpn in LAN but not when i try to connect it from the outside. pardon me
Need to add your public IP or DDNS in the "Peer Remote Endpoint" in the "Settings" section. Also open the internal port on your router/firewall.
@@JuanJax funny thing is i can port forward the wgdashboard port with no issue, i even success remote my wgdashboard from wan network.. but this shitty wg port wont even show up even when i already port forward it.. fml waste like whole day trying to make it work. now i end up with netbird
@@JuanJax fkin hell this is the solutionnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.. thx man hahahaha
@@JuanJax as in, changing the default private address shown in wgdash to the public ip of the network I want to tunnel to? Clearly still learning over here - appreciate u :)
@@JuanJax thx
can I use this to route traffic through a VPN provider like surfshark or Nord? I can't seem to find information on that configuration
this would be to make your own. you can get a wire guard conf file from a provider and just enter that into the wire guard desktop app and connect via the provider vpn. that’s what i do with surfshark
Thank you very much! Is it possible to auto start wg interface. Whenever I reboot the server, it returns to switch off
i believe this is something they are working on for the next update
did you find out how to deleta a tun?
you need to go into the wireguard directory and delete it in there
@@BarmineTech shame on me... clear. Thanks man!
no prob. we found it looking into it by accident. doesn’t seem to be a way to do it in the gui
How do you delete a tunnel configuration?
I was wondering the exact same thing. Can't find a way to delete it anywhere.
there doesn’t seem to be a way in the portal but if you go to the directory where you store your tunnels you can delete them there
still does not work. can not access local network does not connect as a peer. router is set to port forward, even if i put wireguard in the DMZ nothing,
something must be misconducted somewhere. when you try to connect your on a separate network than the one the vpn connects back to like a hotspot or soemthing?
