The red orb firing attack really shows just how bad the dodging mechanic in GoW is.
I like how they give some of the enemies lightning speed while Kratos moves around as if he just ate and entire horse and is holding in his poop.
Not gonna lie, this is by far one of the most difficult mini bosses. Had to run-it-back at least 20 times before I whipped those cheeks.
But you won which is badass 👍😎

For those still suffering, use the ‘EMBLEM OF ELUTION Amulet’ to increase your distance when evading
I kept at least one draupnir spear in him so when he rises up in the air and the red circle shows I immediately hit the button to make the spears explode and it interrupts his attack

For those struggling, heres what helped me after 2 hours lol:
Stick with the weapon you trust the most: I used the axe since it can stop his red attacks. I would only switch between axe and blades to get extra damage and use runic attacks.
Use runic attacks after he does the slam attack. You'll have the largest window for stunning him without him flying away. You're guarantee at least 1 runic attack.
Close the gap! Don't play too passively with distance. In my opinion - the red ranged attacks are the hardest to avoid so by closing the gaps between attacks with your shield up you encourage him to do melee attacks instead of jumping up and doing the red attacks
And as with all other bosses: be patient. Especially when you get toward the end - use Freya a lot. She may not do a lot of damage but she may stun him which can come in clutch when 1 bar is left

Closing the gap definitely helped. I mained the spear until the last bar and flurried the fuck out of him with the blades in the last bar. Died so many times literally a centimeter from victory but eventually got it after dropping the difficulty to noob and still dying for like an hour lol.
Staying close and forcing him to do his little one two punches makes the fight so much easier. Dodge and spam r1, refrain from heavy attacks as much as possible because you’ll likely miss and will slow you down. Keep moving and keep chasing his stupid ass.
It honestly is imperative you don’t let him get distance and use his abilities. One mistake I made when I got to the last bar was, I would also be low on health, give him the space he needs to use his fuckhead four lightning attack and instant death. Stay aggressive and keep running after him.

Mannnnnnnn the move where you have to get away from the red circles on the ground is what gets me. Plus I have to get better with the parry
Don't use dodge..Just run around. Much easier
Use emblem of elusion enchantment if you have it

Counting to three for the slam move is good, however it is more reliable to wait till the green circle stops, that's when it stops tracking you and you can sidestep
I actually nearly broke my screen fighting this boss. I’ve died so many times to bosses in this game that i’ve considered just deleting the game outright because of how god awful i am at combat.
Only reason i haven’t is because I’ve managed to beat them after dying for half an hour because i cant time attacks right or dodge in time.
This boss i just went ‘fuck you’ and put on the easiest difficulty and finally beat him. Was it worth it? Absolutely not
There’s various moves you can hit out of the air depending on who the fight is with. Generally if there’s not a green circle below you, you may be able to get a hit off to take them out of the air. This is just a generalisation though and not an absolute rule.

Once you have mastered at using light and heavy runic attacks of the 3 weapons, Beigadr is moderately easy to defeat.
After 1 straight hour finally got all his moves down and beat him
Having the shatter star shield equipped helped a lot to hit him after he rushes you
Use the emblem of Elusion amulet for extended evasion and dodging. You can also use the Radiance wrist and waist amor set to realm shift and freeze time when evading.
So after spending like 4 hours to beat this absolute pain in the ass I finally figured out how to beat him.
It’s all about reaction and timing the perfect dodge for eg when he used the three bolt home seeking lightning attack WATCH EXTREMELY CAREFULLY and time that dodge to perfection.
Secondly that huge red dot lightning attack he uses where it targets you as you avoid it you’ll have to just keep dodging and again TIME that attack because once he hits you it’ll knock down half your health.
Thirdly what I’ve realized those runic attacks come in a HUGE clutch and you have to go up close to him because the closer you get to him the bigger chance you have to stun him.
Fourthly USE FREYA ALOT she actually does a good amount of damage and helps you stun him a lot.
Fifthly exchange between weapons ever so often so you can use those runic attacks to beat him and the more runic attacks you have the better you have to stun him and give tremendous amount of damage.
I’ve learnt that you should block his normal his attacks with the shield and what you should do is and this is probably the MOST IMPORTANT part stun him with a parry shield so you can get more attacks on him
FINALLY BE VERY PATIENT, you’ll have times where you think you will lose but trust what’s important is patience, timing and believing you can kick his ass. Hopefully this helps you guys cause dear lord this boss fight was a big pain in my ass for damn sure 😂

Axe ( since is the strongest ) + Bifrost + parry’s is how I beat him .
Also in very beginning rush him with 2 runics and bifrost

Like i can dodge the stun well enough, BUT HE WON’T STOP MOVING. He’s so fast it’s really hard to land a hit on him even with the spear lol

It’s the red circles for me as well. Got the pattern down but once the circles appear they seem to get me and fuck up the flow and then o get stunned and hit

THX my friend. the 4 simmultaneous bolts attack was really ruining the fight for me. Still kinda tough bc yellow with the light background gets kinda confusing, but that's just me being blind. Was finally able to beat him after this tho o7

I just struggled so much against the duo of berserker bodvar the fierce and starolfr the troublesome. I didn’t wanna struggle so much again so after a few losses I put down the level
Here after 1yr, after the valhalla update i think devs made some slight but really good changes in beserker fights. I think they made changes bc alot of ppl were talking about how Valkyries are much tougher than the berserkers
I just got done with my GoW 2018 NG+ GMGOW Playthrough and I can confidently say the Valkyries were tougher. Sigrun NG+ was nothing like Gna.
So they buffed the berserkers?goddamn ok no wonder its so hard,this boss is harder/on the level of the valkyrie queen in the previous gow
Agreed. Gna is definitely waaaay harder than sigrun. But the valkyries in general are harder than the berserkers

You can also lunge up at him in air that’s a good one with your spear
The range or espace of damage of the stun attack is crazy
Depends on the difficulty I guess on these types of games I always play normal the first time round to take in the story and not sweat my ass off then on the second playthrough I go super hard on balance at least for me he was decently easy after learning his patterns

Here’s how my fight with this living cheat code of a boss was: I was rowing around the lake in Svartalfheim, and saw a Beserker Gravestone. I towed up to the shore, and tried to open one of those ridiculous Bell Nornir Chests, and gave up. I put the hilt into the Gravestone as you do, and Biegadr showed up. His health bar suprised me because it was orange. I got him halfway on my first attempt, and tried again. I didn’t do very well and died quickly. On my next attempt, I got caught in a lightning trap, and on that particular try, I had gotten him to one sliver of health, and he did that stupid jump attack before I could get out of it. On my final attempt, I used the Bifrost Relic, which took a good chunk out of his health bar and I finally dodged the red attack and separated this man’s head from his shoulders. If I could have done anything differently, can someone tell me?

This one is annoying because i keep clicking L1 to bring out my shield, yet Kratos dont, i do it fast enough irl, but Kratos does it slightly later. Its really frustrating

Okay so you can knock this guy down during a red move you just have to power your weapon up.I know the axe powered up will knock him down as well as detonating your spears in him while he is in air. I don’t know if the blades of chaos will stick in him or not so it would be hard to reach him while he’s in the air with those if the ballades don’t stick

I got cocky after beating two of the easiest berserkers and this guy is considerably harder than them. I just got to level 5. I'm gonna try beating berserkers when I'm level 8 or 9. This dude I can't even get him to half health. But I only tried him like 3 times.
Yeah you'll be ready by 6 or 7 for sure. Did the guide help at all by chance? I'm currently working on the others but feel this format is how I can best go over the fights.

I always charge the axe then use the gift of strength at the beginning. After a few attempts, I discovered that his levitating attack can be disrupted by the axe. Spent the weekend fighting this guy. Now I cant seem to kill the twins

What makes him more difficult than most berserkers is,it seems like he always has a different pattern 😂🥶

Yo i just beat this boss for the 1st time today . I kid you not he one of the hardest . I used the fully red armor set that inflicts posison .after 30+ tries i can say i did it !

You can knock him down if and only if you freeze the axe and heavy throw it just before he lunches the attack but you have to be super fast (i kept my axe frozen half of the time so as to not have to waste time trying to freeze it before the throw
Edit: If you purchase the leviathan axe skill that allows you to freeze your axe by holding triangle when you recall it you can stop almost all his red ring attacks before he lunches them by heavy throwing the axe

Guys a Little tip from me, use the shield as a weapon if you can, take your time to learn his attacks, then take a pause to rest and come back to him
So many of these side quests feel really undoable. Really effiing annoying. Even on the easiest difficulty. I couldn’t do it. Thanks for your help though

I tried couple of times to beat this guy and figured out beating this guy with my current level 5 , skills is impossible. So i went to finish The crucible, which is long battle, learned some skills and upgraded my weapon. Came back to this berserker beat this guy on little to no effort. ..😂
On GMGOW that lightning red circles on the ground he does alot in the fight.

Need help, I beat this boss, and I’ve beat all of the other 11 beserkers, for some reason my map still marks this as unbeaten and the gravestone is gone, and I cannot fight the king? Anyone else deal with a similar glitch or bug?? This is my second play through on Game +, no idea what to do, I’ve completed everything on no mercy and this is the last quest /boss battle. Please help if anyone has a tip or idea to fix this?
Check your journal, make sure it says 11/12. If so, the king is next and can only be fought after you've beaten the game. NG+ journey starts right afterwards with a new button on the title screen that's says begin new game+
Oh my god , I finally beat him on give me no mercy mode , took me full 2 hours , he drained my energy , the only problem with me was that rapid thunder attack

The timing is crazy - all I can say is reflect back on the loss and pay attention to his animations a little more.
Which kind of shield should I use?
Whichever you vibe with the most. I like to parry so guardian or any parry shield works with me. Some like the star shield.
I did it and it feels so satisfying, just 9 more to go!

pretty sure im approaching 50 tries on this stupid boss. i simply cannot time the parry for the yellow circle where he is right in front of you. he freeezes me and whups my ass every damn time.
Omg this guy wasted my more than 2 hours, your guidance helped i have never faced this much craziness he is super equipped and probably killed me more than 50 times but finally able to cutt off this throat

The first time I fought him I got him down to one hit, over thirty tries deep and I can only get him to quarter health.
I recommended going into this fight with 3 bars of rage with wrath equipped use it when he levitates to break his animation and use lundas armor and when he closes in for melee stagger him the parries use that window for shield fist combos lundas armor perk comes into play with latter which activates poison that will melt through health
Yeah I had lundas for a while throughout my playthrough. I'll circle back and use it again on my 2nd Save File. I'm playing again on Give Me God of War.
@@oxfordking one thing I forgot to mention I had boon of wrath amulet equipped that causes a powerful shockwave when activating wrath it works best when close enough to counter his levitating attacks but you have to do at quick before his animations locks

Hit him with anything kraits has mid air he will fall freya can’t knock him out of air
You know a boss is bad when he relies on stunning you to do dmg + multiple skills that you have to time perfectly (that jump is bugged btw and his ability to make circles on the ground is coded in such a way that it makes them where you move so pretty much 100% tracking). I finally beat him tho after hours of trying. I would recommend skipping him tho its not worth the loot.
About 5hours I've spent 😂 I get his health super low and he gets me with unblockable ground move or the one where he's up in your face. 😭

He in fact, cannot be knocked down during the red circle move. Also I feel like ng+ has added some moves bc he does more than whats shown here
He does more moves in NG+; they all do including Gna. I did a full runback of NG+ but only had time to put out a Gna NG+ Guide instead of the others.

2:41 on hard mode he shoots more than two how do I avoid it?
A little later I mention how. Count to 2 and dodge on 2. It's patience and more importantly recognizing patterns. Try not to react too soon. When in the air, get ready to count and dodge at that 2nd second.
I'm on give me God of war. If I go down to easy mode will I be stuck there ? This guy's insane.
I don't think you can change difficulties while in GMGOW. There is a Warning message at the start of GMGOW that mentions something about not being able to go back or you can't lower then raise back up again. One of the two.
When the red ring attacks coming, do not roll or dodge, just run

Wasn't expecting a boss to be this damn hard, especially on the easiest lvl! Problem is the teleporting! If I could keep his ass in front of me I would hv beat him 2 hrs ago since I've been stuck
Yup the teleporting is a pain in the ass - I'll have to refer to my own videos once NG+ drops - been a hot minute since I've played GoW Ragnarok. Can't wait to get back in for NG+
His teleporting is so annoying. The devs gave some of these bosses lightning speed and teleportation which was stupid. If he didn't teleport every time I'm trying to hit him it would make it much easier, can barely damage him cause he keeps teleporting.

What I hated the most about this fight is that he throws 6 !!!! LIGHTING ORBS YOUR WAY AND THEY FOLLOW EVEN AFTER A PERFECT DODGE, when he throws for in two throws that easy but 6 I hate that alot

Also you still have to switch back to your spear to ignite - even if they have the detonations already in place. Just easier to run around.
Man I play on easy and still haven't beat him. I played a bit of 2018 god of war but never beat it. This guy is tough man.

@Oxford King yeah my thing is when I get him down to the last bar or 2 I have used up all my rage and I used up all my runic attacks for all my weapons I did notice Kratos axe has been the best dps out of the spear and the blads. I think I will stick with the axe and try dodging and parrying more and trying to save my rage for later when I need it because I've been using everything at the very start of the game. I appreciate the tips. I haven't played much of god of war games I did decide to buy this one and try beating it so not sure how to make a decent build or anything I really should it would definitely help instead of equipping 3 random armor pieces with the highest stats
@Oxford King man, I was so dam close to getting him the thing is I am not patient enough and wanna get in there and attack attack that is screwing me over. Man, I almost broke my new controller. Dam, he is definitely difficult. I can do it. I have beaten most fromsoft games, so eventually, I will get it it's just a matter of being patient. Despite all that, this game is phenomenal
