I think I saw this fellow performing at the International Date Festival in Indio - I remember he sang "Strawberry Roan" about as well as it could be sung, but I didn't know he could yodel, boy can he!
I've heard Sourdough do this number a few times in concert, but I was fortunate to tape this one--he was is flying fine form on guitar and his yodeling lungs were on fire!
@joffercalifornia thanks for the kind words--I've heard him perform "Yodeling Bill" about 5 times and this is my favorite--I think he had a double expresso before he hit the stage!--his energy was very high and the audience was great----Sourdough is always great--truly the last of the vaudeville cowboys! Bill lived a long and happy life his yodel served him well, but at the age of 99 death finally rang his nell. As old Bill was heading over that great divide, he let out a yodel when he reached the other side!
