Most prolific group...ever, hundreds of brilliant songs. Second only to the Beatles for the number of top ten hits over here in the UK. Try listening to ' don't let me down' or 'lonely hobo lullaby' by them, you won't be disappointed. Thanks for sharing and peace to you all.
One of my favourite songs. You just have to get into the groove with it. Don't worry about analyzing. It is a song in America where you would be out for a good time and dancing and being attracted to the opposite sex. The Hollies were a big band. Crosby was a part of the band of Crosby Stills Nash and Young. He was starting out then. The song played a lot in Canada when I was just turning 20. Love your reactions. You are not afraid to look at all kinds of music. I like that. I grew up listening to a variety of genres and this has served me well as a retired social worker. It looks like your husband has been exposed to more music in his growing up years, so you are balanced. You are a lovely couple and I really enjoy your reactions. Cheers
The Hollies was a British band. Graham Nash was in the Hollies before he joined Crosby, Nash, Stills and Young. Long Cool Woman was a hit in the UK before the US.
i enjoy your spontaneous reactions to these songs! i hope i don't offend u sir as in culturally,,,however, your wife has a very beautiful expressive face as she is dancing to the songs! very enjoyable! Have a good day!
The Hollies favorite band at this time was Creedence Clearwater Revival. So they tried to sound like Creedence. My dad is TOM FOGERTY and he liked this song ! jeff fogerty
Didn't realize this was the Hollies, I though the song was by Creedence Clearwater Revival but that song I was thinking of is called Green River. The two songs sound quite similar I think.
A song from 1970 featuring Alan Clarke on guitar and vocals . Would you consider reacting to another Hollies song, also from 1970...I Can’t Tell the Bottom From The Top...thankyou
Yes I don't know if they got permission from CCR or even needed it but they kind of ripped off CCR but if you are going to rip somebody off you better do a good job of it and the Hollies really did this is a great song and a lot of white people hurt themselves trying to dance to this one.
I'm first;) Always love this groovy song; very different for The Hollies-sounds like CCR!
Never thought of that, but you're correct 🙂👍
But it was written by The Hollies.
I have the 7" vinyl sleeve of The Hollies Long Cool Woman signed by two original members of The Hollies Tony Hicks and Bobby Elliott. C. 2022.
Great song by a great band The Hollies.
A classic, iconic and thoroughly enjoyable, not to mention enduringly popular song decades later, for all the reasons you mentioned.
First time I heard this on the radio, I thought for sure it was CCR. Sounds so similar to Green River.
Nothin' in the world like the classic sound of a Gibson guitar piped through a Vox tube amp.
Excellent choice
Love the Hollies! 💖
I like the illustrated lyrics you can find to this..as it's hard sometimes to get the story...great band.
Yeah you have to bob the head to this one. Classic…
Putting my DJ hat on & suggesting you try "The Air That I Breathe" by The Hollies. I think you'll like it

Graham Nash was in this band (gone by this song) not David Crosby.

Great song, with an awesome beat.
This was a big hit at the roller skating rinks back when... one of rock's better straight-ahead simple songs

The Hollies borrowed the Creedence Clearwater Revival sound for this one.
LOLS..they fooled me cause for years I thought "CCR" sang this song hahahaha!!!

No, Fogerty ain't hurt about this one. In fact, he's sung it at encores more than once.
@@Mikex973 The song was written by the Hollies, not CCR.
Guitar is definitely CCR's Green River. Who ripped who off? Great song, though. Nice groove.
