Great job on the Jacket!! I would love to see more of anything you do. I love your channel and watching you grow. I have been here from the beginning and I am so Proud of you. Congratulations on your Wedding too! Please share some pictures!
Thank you so much for your continued support. It means the world to me! I will definitely share some photos once I get them back from our photographer. 💜
Oh my gosh! I can't believe I'm also a quilter and this is my first thing I'm going to make that isn't a quilt. My daughter has begged me for a quilt jacket. So I'm going to try it It' since my friends gave me the by hand London pattern "nerrisa" I can't believe I found your tutorial !! Funny our first thing we seware both quilt jackets and the same pattern and also I have the exact same sewing machine that was my mother's that she gave to me the pfaff creative 2140!!! What a small world except for that I'm 50!! Thank you for all the tips!! I am sc ared to do this but seeing your video helped . I hate reading , I need to see it demonstrated!! Thank you so much!! Cindy
Wow, I absolutely love this serendipitous connection! I hope you have the best time making one for your daughter. I have another friend who is eager for one like the one I made in this video, so you and I will both be tackling quilted jackets in addition to all of the other similarities 😊 Enjoy and thank you for your kind comment!
Good job! You never know what you’re capable of doing unless you give it a try. I’ve been sewing for 50 years, and I agreed that the inside of a garment should be finished and I don’t mean serged edges because that drives me nuts. It’s my personal opinion, but I think when people finish seems that way it’s lazy. My grandmother taught me to either flat cell, seam, bind, or do a French seam. I make a lot of culture jackets and that’s what I do. You did a great job
Thank you so much for your comment and encouragement! I completely agree with you about what constitutes a "finished" garment. What an amazing skill to have.
Hannah0Catherine you make me smile. You are always so bouncy and happy and that makes me happy. You are really courageous to try a jacket-that makes me shudder, but it turned out so nice. Great Job!! I would like to see more videos are your completed quilts, love to see what other people are doing. And what is the name of the quilt on your wall? I watched the video and would really like to make that one. It is gorgeous. Have a happy day!
