Aw man this is hard to watch. The clutch is for leaving in first and then going down the box. You’re making the rear wheel accelerate the engine with every shift. Do that with a big twin on a slippy road and it will spit you off.

My shocks are leaking and I know it doesn’t effect how I shift definitely not but if it was the trans did you get it repaired or was it too much work hence the reason you brought a cbr

I had an '01. Great bike, but it did have an occasional problem dropping into neutral between 1st and 2nd.
Just need to adjust the gear lever

I had a customer that liked higher rpms so I tuned his clutch to hold like this, either punch the gears or have it retuned

I believe.... 1st is 83, 2nd is 113, 3rd is 132 4th will Take you up to 156 at least- that’s what I remember.
My 2001 has taken me to 166 in 4th gear. It may be the tuning from the previous owner though.
