What did you think of Stray? Was it the cat sim you wanted, or did it hit too many tropes? I think indies may have hit a wall. Not all, but alot that are pushed now seem like the game journalist types choices. I think it was a bit better around 2013-2014 when games were indies were still being scrutinized more. During that whole, you know, thing that happened with the five guys and whatnot.
I see a number of games that are almost the same thing. Sometimes there’s that Unity engine look where not just the environment looks cookie cutter but menus are drag and dropped into place. You never saw repeated UI in games, but now so much is coming from the parts bin and they like to think one unique aspect is enough.

It would be great if parkour movement is not scripted 😅
Maybe so. I’m not so sure I felt much like a cat. Didn’t hunt anything. Didn’t have some sort of relationship mini game.
Kitty walking simulator
This game is hard. I’m stuck.
Where at? Let me guess, the bot town. Good god is it confusingly laid out and the objectives are vague.
