To each his own!!! There will be patients who have no problem with trusting a doctor with tattoos and piercings. The point is everyone has their on opinion and preferences, things that put them at ease/things they are comfortable with and things that cause concern and that causes them to feel uneasy. People make judgement calls all day long based on looks alone/first Impressions. The question on the show was "Would you trust a doctor with tattoos and piercings?" In my personal opinion. I feel like a doctor or nurse with tattoos or piercings can make doctors seem a little less intimidating because I feel like sometimes the atmosphere of the doctor's office is already kind of intimidating and nerve-racking and I feel that a doctor with tattoos or piercings can easily give off that vibe of I'm a human just like you. I also feel like the idea that doctors shouldn't have body art is so outdated. We have moved past that as a society. Body Art is just self-expression.

@John Aldenberg True that. Part of it I am thinking now, is that people in high positions are from an era when tattoos were taboo in the workplace. Eventually I can see even at a high level having a tattoo will be more socially acceptable, due to the younger generation takes over those positions. Still might take a few years or even a decade. I love this. I think it's because tattoos are just so more acceptable now. I've watched it change slowly over the last 15 years and it's come a long way. I was told by my parents I wouldn't be able to find a job. I'm a chemist and work in a laboratory now and I have ver noticeable tattoos, and piercings (many if which are on my face), I have gauges (5/8"), and I have a huge chest piece tattoo and it's never stopped me from getting where I need to go in life. I'm actually doing a tattoo apprenticeship now to do tattooing in my spare time because of how much I love tattoos and being an artist myself it seemed like a good idea. I'll still work my other job along with it though. But my mother was worried I would only be able to "flip burgers ar McDonald's" but I currently make over $100,000 a year. So I'd say having tattoos hasn't effected anything. So long story short. Employers don't seem to judge people anymore on tattoos or make you cover them up, so I would think the general public wouldn't see doctors any different... 😊

Psychiatrists have said that there is a connection between tattoos and personality disorders. I'm not a MGTOW though. I'm a female. I don't really have any opinion on drug legalization. I do judge a book somewhat by it's cover. The cover gives you the info what the book is about. I see athletes and some entertainers with tatoos on TV and the tatoos look like dirt. They look dirty and look like they have not washed in years. People are so afraid now days and won't voice their true opinion for fear they will be considered judgemental and a bad person for having a different opinion than what is perceived as the majority's opinion.

L2Cotton Your feelings don't matter when it comes to facts and the facts are that in no way do tattoos or piercings fucking matter when it comes to a person saving your/anyone's damn life. You don't have the right to judge anybody under any circumstances, suck it up and deal with it, they're helping you and not letting your ignorant rude ass die, are they? Ingrate.

@@sakuraogami6885 I have a right to my opinion. The question on the show was would you trust a doctor with tatoos and piercings. The question is asking for personal opinions. Just because my opinion is not the same as yours gives you no right to be rude to me. I responded to a video n the question brought up on the show. Only uneducated people take things out of context.

@@sakuraogami6885 When on the show did they ask do you have facts u shouldn't trust a doctor with tatoos and piercings. If that was the question I would not have comnented the way I did. Context is very important. Do you have tatoos or piercings? Is that why your so offended and taking this out of context? It is just good manners not to comment to others comments to a video if u disagree. The person or show is asking for your comments and opening themself up for opinions but a person who is just comment to their video is talking to the person or show that is asking for comments. I didn't ask for your opinion. I have not comment section. So really it's your feelings I don't care about. I know there was no one on the show to pose a different opinion because some fear reactions like yours. I don't find your dumb, trying to be offensive comments even remotely important. I hope the show reads the comments here. I have brought up my opposing opinion and many have been courageous enough to come out of the shadows and agree!!! I don't need facts for an opinion based question dah!!!

I would be a little wary. I wouldn't personally want to receive medical care from someone with tatoos and out of the ordinary pierces. I think marking the body is desecrating it. It is also a risking and painful procedure to have tatoos and piercing done which gives me the impression that person enjoys pain. If they enjoy pain why would they care if I'm in pain, it's pleasurable to them!

Talal1190 Hasan I do act out of reasons and I think which is why I have degrees in psychology work. Everybody has their personal preferences on how they want to look. And nearly everything can be harmful in some way. Hair dye, makeup, creams, even food. Also, some doctors do have tattoos but they’re just not visible. Just because a doctor has tattoos or piercings doesn’t mean they aren’t caring or skillful. I’d say that’s complete ignorance and judgmental. People often say blonde women are there to ‘have fun’ and can come across as ‘dumb’ but it doesn’t mean it’s true. Stereotypes my friend.

Or, was this a paid for study to promote the fad of tats? Considering the stations the Drs. are on, I’m leaning toward the latter.
