Excellent video! It gives me confidence to do my own build. Using the heavy wool fabric is a great tip as I was unsure what to use. I've seen pro studios use a type of muslin cloth fabric but I would imagine the wool has much better sound absorption properties.
hey man it would be great if you could make a Tutorial how to build effective Limp Mas Absorbers for killing very low room modes about 34hz and above! I think this is one of the biggest issues that we all have in small Home Studios

I guess that's the trade off.. in this scenario, you are def dealing with flutter echos and some higher frequencies but true, you haven't left a lot of room (space, gap, depth, thickness) for bass frequencies. It does however, look cool :D.
I build to my clients desires, this client wanted to keep the fabric walls as low profile as possible to maintain as much space for their growing desk and outboard gear. Most of my clients especially in home studios sacrifice optimal acoustics for aesthetics and day to day functionality. For example this client mainly tracks drums, does pre production, rehearsals, and songwriting in this room. When they need optimal acoustics for final mixes, they have access to other purpose built studios. Thanks for watching!
I am not familiar with that fabric, however if you’re worried about the fibers you can purchase a commercial acoustic fabric like Guildford of Maine or another equivalent. You could also layer fabrics

does the fabric protect the fibers from trickling?
Yes it does, we went with a thick wool fabric to ensure the insulation is contained. Thanks for watching!
