Thinking about putting an RX8 engine on the escort, if anyone had done before let me know anything I need to know. And putting the rx8 gearbox in aswell.
Having done this many years ago it will require a reasonable amount of cutting. Tunnel needs to come up a few inches and modified sump. If they have hydraulic clutch at the top of the bell housing same as the earlier boxes it will also need a relief in the fire wall. If it was me I would leave it as is due to the value of them these days. Better off putting it in something cheaper

My tunnel is an auto tunnel so big enough loads of room around the type 9 gearbox.
