I added marker lights down my 24ft equipment trailer as you did. A few of the amber lights I made work with my blinker. 3 per side - so approximately every 8 ft. Somebody driving a lane over on a highway can see I'm coming over from anywhere along the vehicle and trailer. I also tricked it out with some underlighting which helps immensely with knowing right where the trailer is at night when backing up and the cool factor of changing colors (can even make them flash amber for roadside emergency). I also, added a 48" light bar mounted underneath on a 5ft x 3" pc of channel for protection.and stability, operates from a switch for lighting up the back and behind my trailer for night loading and that lights also when i place mty truck in reverse. My trailer is 102" w so I mounted 2 36" light bars at the front for night loading and lighting the deck. Also added spiked neo chromed lug nuts lol.
what lights did you use for underneath the trailer? I'm curious because i would like to mount some white lights for driving, but also have them flash amber for roadside emergencies.
@@SnailHouseProjects also I did have to purchase a seperate wire extension kit. But still had to coil the excess wire up and zip tie under the trailer. FYI my trailer is 26 ft long you may not need the extension kit for a shorter trailer.
@@richallen8742 nice. but you said you tricked it out with underlighting, i was wondering what lights you used for underlighting that change colors. Eddie although that trailer looks sick with all the the lights done the side but FYI all lights from rear axle back must be red and all lights front of axle amber/yellow
Not true. Lights facing forward amber and lights facing rear red. Side can be amber to the back as long as there not rear facing. He done it right by making them red on the rear facing of the fenders.
Just a heads up. But here in Texas where you put the yellow marker lights toward the back would be a ticket. Idk if California is the same but wouldn't be surprised if they were.

Can you show us how you wired those side markers up to the 4 pin or 5 pin trailer harness wires? I'm currently trying to figure out all that layout
Bed liner will peel off. I tried it on my deck held up for a year. Use paint with sand mixed in it.
I put a coating over it that is supposed to prevent that

What did you use to wiring the clearance lights together
Check out mag drill bits. They themselves are badass little machines, can drill horizontal with ease through thick thick metal.

Good job Eddie 👍🏻 that’s a badass trailer !

I want to do the same but I’m hesitant about structural on the trailer. Do you think Swiss cheesing the frame would weaken it ?
