When i was a kid i forced myself to like dubstep because it was trendy on our friend group, but i had to move out and nobody really cared what music i listen to, so i started slowly with avenged sevenfold shepherd of fire, then i listened to some of other bands until i discovered quite recently Amorphis and now Wintersun. Defitenely adding this to my playlist to get another level of variety!
