I listened to this album twice. Then I started hearing a lot of people complain. I am listening to this again and it's great, I am very happy hearing all these solos and melodies. I should listen less to people and more to music (I don't know why, but criticism changes too much my opinions even if I know it's wrong 😅).
well compared to time one, the mixing is not that good, also there is no enough separation of the melodies and harmonies, the instruments are not exactly overlapping but interrupting at a times, and the drums do not sound as good as they did on Time I, so I understand the criticism.
This is not just a simple album by a random metal band, this is an experience, a long journey that lasted 20 years and finally ended in the most masterful way possible. I'm still at a loss for words to describe what this album means to me, for years Time I was my favorite album and I thought I would never see anything as incredible as it, but I was finally able to rest in peace after listening to this masterpiece! Thank you Jari, you made my life so much better!
I listened to #Wintersun 💿 for the first time, and it was a wonderful album that shocked me⚡️🎸🥁. I fell in love with it very much🥰. I'll also listen to the previous albums🤘🏻
28:27 that part of Storm is so good, the "clean-scream" of Jari, that "harmonic shift" with those "flutes" (I don't know) after few seconds (and why not, a thunder in background)...and then return to the chorus. WOW
The Time saga has inspired me Time (pun intended) after Time (pun intended). Even listening to this vision of it, it made me ponder upon our relationship with time, and how we never feel the same as time goes on. I spent so much conscious and unconscious effort trying to feel the way I used to only to realise that letting go and accepting change is the way. Looking back at my life, I shamefully admit that I never really truly appreciated the time and potential I had. The Time saga reminds me not to wait to start living. It reminds me to burn brighter than the energy of a thousand stars with the fire that's deep inside. Most of all, it reminds me that I am not alone in this vast nothingness that seems to mercilessly engulf us at times. Thank you, Wintersun. And thank you to all the people who create different visions of this masterpiece. You moved me and many others by capturing the beauty of life in ways we otherwise never would've seen. Thank you for the experience.
Somehow this evaded my attention until recently, I'm really glad I am listening to it now. This album is so good, Silver Leaves is such a beautiful song. The album art is also just top tier, everything about this album is art personified. Well done guys :)

It's not that I disagree with you, it's just that we had quite a few amazing albums this year in particular. Of course, as you can see my handle, Wintersun is a band I hold really close to my heart. I've been anticipating this album since the late 00s, and it's fantastic, pretty much worth the decade and a half waiting for it if the alternative was a clearly inferior product. That said, a lot of people would've settled for the inferior mix as opposed to not listening to it at all since they passed. I mean a lot of us were satisfied enough to listen The Way Of The Fire live over and over for the writing and composition alone. Sound mixing be darned. All that to say that the latest album from The Black Dahlia Murder is a contender for 1st place as AOTY 24. It's fantastic. Of course we're missing Trevor, but Brian stepped up on vocals and the killer duo Knight/Ellis on guitar puts the album on top on its own. Then you have Opeth merging their new Classic Prog sound with their old sound. And lastly, the biggest surprise was Moon Healer from Job For A Cowboy. Until recently they were in the "fun Deathcore things" box and I didn't really care about them. Until I learned they shifted towards the Technical Death Metal subgenre. I gave it a listen and it immediately shot out towards the top of the AOTY list. Now I just wish the new Dream Theater album came out in 2024. At least for the two singles I've listened to, their album would jump towards the top too. Well... They'll be on top for 2025, can't complain. All of them make my bedtime playlist. After so long, the wait was worth it. It's exceeded my wildest expectations. Thank you guys for creating yet another magnum opus. One with the shadows in particular is just beautiful. Truly amazing stuff!!!!
Relax, forget famliy and friends and hear only this album! You cannot talk to other persons, you cannot do anything else. In august my first thought was a little bit disappointed. This was not surprising to me, because bands want to be more advanced than before and mostly they failed. But I said to me, it could be my mood. Some weeks later, I get the Vinyl, the same again. But than I we had a dog for some days and I used some earphones. I choosed the 2db dynamic version, heard it louder and it was totaly different. It is like Time I and Forest Seasons not easy listening, that's what I want to have! But it sounds more complex than before.
I'm a big Wintersun fan, and while The Forest Seasons wasn't my favorite, it's still a Wintersun album. here, the beginning is a bit slow, but once it gets going, it becomes pure wintersun as I like it, Great work !!!!

Absolutely love this album, and I'm really inspired by how much work was put into orchestra, even compared to Time I, helped me once again in developing my own music, for which I'm very thankful, Jari. Whether or not you believe in God, He clearly blessed you abundantly with talent, looking forward for those elusive four albums! The only really bad thing about Time II for me... my mom passed shortly after release... Suddenly I understand and appreciate Eternal Darkness even more, and Loneliness (the original with growl), which was her favorite Wintersun song, became even sadder.
