And we cant forget alexi "wildchild" laiho from c.o.b. also..(may god bless his soul) r.i.p.!! And quite a few more...you know theres something magical to be a born in northern scandinavia... northern lights ,nightless nights and neverending darkness on a long and cold winter days...these are just a few things that you can feed your creativity and turn in to a melodical masterpiece's of heavy metal music genre...norway ,sweden, finland. Several decent heavy metal bands found from around north pole, excluded section of a world's shopping and living center's

I think Jari realised this is his Magnum Opus, too afraid to come up with something that could ever top this. I personally think this is a masterpiece, no skippers on this album. That must be a lot of pressure for him, especially considering how elitist this music genre is. I'd be happy for a proper release of Time 2 or whatever. But I suppose my grandchildren will enjoy it. Either way, Jari, I don't think you owe your fans anything. Well, maybe with the crowdfunding fiasco from a couple of years ago you do. But you know what I mean.
I think this album is their magnum opus. I don't really dig their newer records, but this is absolutely beautiful and dark.
I accidentally played this video on 100% volume on my laptop. Now it has no speakers.

@@dylanvalorfall I'd argue they're not really comparable. Wintersun is basically folky power metal with melodeath vocals + blasting while insomnium is straight up melodeath. Both are nice in their own way imo

The rage is palpable. Kai is absolutely storming on the drums. Wintersun drums were never this awesome again, absolutely not in the forest seasons, that’s for damn sure. Now it’s just decently programmed
