      Hi there, thank you for the comment, much appreciated. I am doing these videos for that very reason, when I got the ST there was very minimal content specifically for them, soooo...

    I like it . Really does clean it up. Asked the parts guy at Harley, why their filler lights on the internet say that they don't fit the ST, told me... because the light bars bullet lights partially block them. This solves that.
    Nice Job. Thanks.

    Great install. I did mine about 3 years ago. Because my bike has the tribar and not the stop light you have, my turn signal wires for the plate had an outside jacket. So I was able to run them thru the left saddlebag support following the cable for my antenna. There are clips there to route your cables/wires and keep them off harm's way. No problems since install and I have not seen another bike with my setup during my travels. Ride safe and keep up with the great videos. Now, I have not seen your update video, so I will see now what you did later.

    Why didn't you just de-pin the connector? Easy. 2 new pins and good to go. for the plate bracket turn signals, get 4 new pins from dealership and install on your plate bracket signal light wires, then using the plug connectors from your original turn signals, plug into the signal light connections in the block under the tail light same as you did for the plate light.

      The video was very good. I'm doing the same at the moment and have switched out the RGS rear fender to the ST/Standard style with the tail light for more rear light. Plugging in to the tail light block is just easier than running all the wire is all. I like those amber, sequential turn signals. I wish CD made the same. Your ST looks great.

    • @justkillnbugz
      @justkillnbugz  Год назад +1

      @@amberbali8881 Thank you, and totally agree. I tried to do it at first, but as you stated, no pins and was not sure if the need to combine the signal ground wires with the mix of manufacturers, and eliminating the modules that didn't work at all from CD, under the seat. Otherwise my panel lights ambered out solid..Drove me nuts...
      I love Ciro products, the bag blades were a must the first time I saw them, so clean and minimalistic, but CD and Hogworkz have some cool ones too that Ciro does not, at least not yet anyways. Sometimes just gotta mix and match and see where it lands, lol.
      Ride safe.

    Hey Robert, I know we got a lot of similar parts; when you bought the kit did they tell you to get a rear turn signal load stabilizer too? I bought that and just purchased the smart triple play to have run brake and turn on the license plate lights too. I hope I’m doing this right cause there’s a lot going on. I got the ciro bag blades, hinge covers, saddlebag extensions, and Fillar panels. Then custom dynamics pro beam taillight and the eliminator kit. The lady at CD recommended the stabilizer and I chose to get the triple play. I’m just curious as to how to exactly wire this since I got more coming. I know now I don’t need to daisy chain all the harnesses I can just plug the ciro stuff into the 4 way and two way splitters i had no idea. Any suggestions?

    • @justkillnbugz
      @justkillnbugz  Год назад

      Hey Cody, great questions, you are a busy guy for sure, I can relate, 🙂.
      I did not install the triple play on the ST, but I did put one on my heritage, pretty straight forward, plug it in and set your settings.
      I don't know anything about a stabilizer from CD, never looked at one or thought to need it (so far).
      As for where to put it, being you have predominantly Ciro products, I would put Ciro in line fist, then the triple play and any other CD bus type connections. I did not add that to my ST because I gained a lot of brake and turn signal functions from the additions I did already.
      Let me know how it works out.

    • @webechubbin
      @webechubbin Год назад

      @@webechubbin Meaning when I connected the CD modules, my Ciro lights locked in Amber light mode and would not function. Not sure what they all all referring to, but in my experience, it was reversed and I removed the license plate modules. Everything works great now...

    23 rgst here. I’m doing the same thing but no turn signal on the plate! Just black/white wire to run. How can I just hook it up in the brake light you did? Is it because you cut, the left rear turn signal light? Then just wire what you cut to the plate wires?

    • @justkillnbugz
      @justkillnbugz  8 месяцев назад

      Thanks for the question and congrats on the new ride! That is exactly correct. When you cut the plate light connectors, be sure to leave slack so you can splice it. It’s a 50/50 shot on white and black to either plate wire since they are not color coded (at least they were not on mine) so test before you close it up. I thought custom dynamics changed the plate to have an adapter now but could be wrong so check to be sure.
      Ride safe and enjoy the new bike!

    So, I guess the moral of the story is, don't spend the extra money for the side lights unless you want to deal with the headache of running the wires under the fender?

    • @justkillnbugz
      @justkillnbugz  Год назад

      LOL, in a sense, maybe, and if you are referring to the plate side lights. I had issues with the 2 different light vendors which is what caused me to try other options, but I did not like various versions on each, so I combined them. The modules caused me to amber out on the panel filler lights so I have to bypass the modules and hard wire them in.
      One thing to note, if you remove the Magoo lights from the back, you will not have rear hazard lights once you turn the power off. That why I ran the plate lights up and hard wired them in sharing the black wires between the 2 sides.
      All in all, I like it much better and the process taught me a lot, so pretty happy with the results.
      I appreciate the comments and ride safe!
