Honestly, I think Tommy was just better than Jake. Keep in mind, this Tommy was NERVOUS fighting Jake and still beat him soundly, the rematch would NOT be a good idea if I'm Jake's team

@@shaquilleghans4351 not gonna lie both them boys would clinch up and not fight out of the clinch, most the clean shots landed when they were clinched. This fight was a snoozer
I feel for Tommy. He was called a pussy for not fighting a RUclipsr for the past 2 years. Most likely getting harassed daily for it. His own family said they would disown him if he lost to a RUclipsr. He was the underdog coming into this fight considering he has been fighting for like 15+ years. And the whole selling point was the massive name vs the 3 year boxing RUclipsr when that wasn’t true at all. Jake has been locked up in a small country w all the money in the world. All the talented coaches. All in his own home. And training everyday like it’s a camp
Yup. Everyone’s calling him a RUclipsr again lol. Maybe I’m mistaken, but didn’t Jake say he’d retire from boxing if he lost? And that it was the mission of the universe for him to win? Lmfao. Delusion can only get you so far.
Jake even wire different coloured gloves in each hand to cause depth - visual confusion problems for Tommy. Something I didn’t even know what legal, I’ve never seen anyone wear different coloured gloves for each hand, but he did. He tried every little trick to win. I’m also pretty sure he does take some sort of performance enhancing substance. I don’t think he’s ever tested.
tommy was 100% better than i expected, everyone talked about him like hes going to get rocked and stopped by jake. thats all everyone said. tommy dominated that fight
And then they all shame him for "not being able to take out a youtuber" and call jake a warrior for being able to lose a decision 🙄 like how tf does that even make sense?? 😂
This was Tommys best performance. That being said he should have the power and the ability to take Jake out at this stage in their careers. Especially when he calls himself “Tommy TNT Fury” and spent the build up talking about his power.
@@jaywilliams6250 jake did the exact same thing, why isnt this energy held up in both directions? plus tommy has never been on a stage this big before where as jakes done it his whole career
Stop giving Jake bs excuses. The better man and fighter was Tommy fury that night. He absolutely outboxed Jake in those rounds. I do agree that the fight should have not gone the distance. Just be honest with yourselves, you underestimated Tommy’s boxing ability and overhyped Jake’s boxing ability. It’s very hilarious how you generally thought that Jake would actually have a chance with a boxer who lives and breathes in an amateur boxing gym. No hate towards you guys, I love and respect what you guys do but on this occasion, you got it wrong.
Idt sensei is half as good as he thinks, he got beat up in every sparring session when gib n ksi were beginners. Seems like a good guy tho. Sometimes it’s hard to hear guys critique guys who actually wanna fight. Neither one of them wanna compete, and when sensei did he had a good round and barely threw a punch after that
They try and make Jake look like an amazing boxer he finally fights a boxer and loses and then they start saying things like oh he’s only new lol make up your mind
What's crazy is that literally majority of people are contradicting themselves after picking Jake to win. Like am I missing something here?? Why is everyone giving him so much credit for losing? Is it the fact that he landed a punch
I feel these guys are a little biased towards Jake as they picked him to win. Jake got dominated and talking into account the pressure that Tommy was under I say the next time he would wipe the floor with Jake
You know what I implore y’all to think about. Tommy didn’t ask for Jake. Literally never. Jake wanted that smoke?..? So if Jake thought he could beat him and purposely baited him to fight him and still lost…. What does that say?..
It’s one reason I struggle to respect Jake even after the fight. Jake was ringside at one of Tommy’s fights and was telling him how trash he was over the microphone and completely disrespecting him and the event, then after all that we can see that Jake isn’t up to par with Tommy at all. I’m not saying Tommy’s a very high quality boxer, but you can clearly see the skill difference between the two.
Tommy didnt want Jake, he wanted KSI at first lol. He def was looking to get into the crossover boxing. Thers a reason he is down for the rematch again.
Breakdown boys I love you, but come on There is so much bias for Jake and not enough credit for Tommy. Jake simply does not have the skillset to work around Tommy’s skill level. So many excuses when the fact is Jake was exposed for the exact level that he is at. He didnt have an “off day” he’s just not ready to fight real pro boxers his age and size. Simple as that. It was a dominant performance from Tommy and we got our answers.
Wade & Sensei are showing bias. They both picked Jake to win because of Jake’s power, the question if Tommy could handle the pressure of his family & being the main event, & if Tommy can still be effective in the later rounds. Tommy proceeds to show that he has a chin, showed he can still be effective late, & won despite the pressure while doubling Jake’s punch output, having more power punches than Jake had total, & outlanding Jake in every round. But, Tommy is worse than they thought? Wade was hesitant to say anything good about Tommy while Sensei lit up to talk about Tommy’s flaws while contradicting his own points. It’s simple: Jake didn’t face a RUclipsr, retired NBA player, or an old, retired MMA fighter. He fought an 8-0 boxer whose combined opponents were 24-176-5 with fundamental boxing skills & that’s all that was needed to beat him. Like Jake said, Tommy didn’t do anything special. Jake is just that inept in fundamental boxing skills.
You're right 2 or 3 months definitely isn't enough, he needs to fight traditional boxers in the coming months to reach Tommy's level or at least somewhere close to it.
Guys Tommy boasted how he’s been boxing his whole life🤣 if Jake fought Viddal (a life long boxer), Viddal would send Jake out in a stretcher. Idk that’s the way I see it.
Love the channel, love these dudes, but this was a bit of a biased take at times. Jake's got 1 KO in 4 fights now (against a 40 Yr old Welterweight). Tommy couldn't care less about Jake's "power", he chose to keep the jab going all fight and eat the hooks. Jake thought a few well timed counters would take Tommy's jab away and it didn't. No hate though, We just dropped a rap breaking down the fight and it's definitely biased towards Tommy 😝 🔥🥊🔥🥊🔥🥊🔥
Absolutely spot on, the reason Tommy Celebrated the way be did was because of all the pressure the family put on him, name change, stay in Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 fans bashing him for 2 years no wonder he got emotional
Tommy was much better defensively then he's ever looked. He won 6 rounds on two judges scorecards. His foot movement and even head movement was pretty strong. Jake landed less punches in the last 3 rounds combined then Tommy landed in the 6th. It was pretty comprehensive. Not the best analysis fellas. Also, Jake caught Tommy with the right hand a few times and Tommy ate it fine. Which shows that against a young pro boxer with decent punch resistance, Jake ain't super powerful really
So a 23 year old kid who’s been harassed by the world for 2 years, threatened to be disowned by his own family, called a horrible boxer and the underdog after 15 years of fighting, just had a daughter, had all his respect/dignity and literally his ENTIRE career on the line. He walks into his first ever main event, first ever 8 rounds, completely disarms his opponent and beats him very clearly on points and all of you have the audacity to say “well he did worse than expected” or “this is an L for him he never put him away” etc etc. you have to be kidding me. This was literally do or die for Tommy on the biggest stage, longest fight he’s ever had and he DELIVERED. Put some respect on his name he demolished Jake under more pressure than 99% of ppl could’ve handled.
Exactly tommy was in tears when he won was like the weight of the world was lifted off his shoulders being called tommy fumbles being mocked for so long and the pressure from his own family I was delighted for him when he won
I really hate how the narrative switched so quick. Now all of a sudden it’s not a big deal Jake lost, it’s everything he did wrong and nothing Tommy did right, still being said Tommy isn’t that good yet he dominated Jake. Remember a month ago a video on wade concept..” Jake Paul v Tommy fury is the END of someone’s boxing career” lmaoo cmon now
Honestly ksi might beat jake, better conditioning and stamina, more power, given he beat his older brother which is bigger and stronger, he’s also young so not as easy to knock out like all of jakes older opponents that had wear and tear on them from being career long fighters.
I think the performance was less about Jake and more about Tommy. He exposed some pretty glaring weaknesses in Jakes game as someone who knows how to properly utilize a jab in the ring, throw combinations, and use their foot work to create angles. Tommy is the first fighter Jake has fought that actually knows how to attack off the back foot, which made him look mediocre in comparison. Jake was flat footed the entire fight which allowed tommy to dance around him and land almost at will. The fact of the matter is that Jake still has to hone in on his fundamentals, the fight was close in points but not really at all in skill. Tommy came in as the underdog with 10x the pressure of being disowned by his family or being knocked out right after having a kid, the only thing Jake had to lose was his 0.
Well, he was worse than expected. If Tommy's goal is to continue boxing and become a world champion, then they're absolutely right about his defense. I mean, just because a guy wins doesn't mean he was perfect. How often are you going to face an opponent that has no volume and throws one punch at a time, which is usually an overtelegraphed over hand shot? Tommy is still very predictable defensively and will struggle if he doesn't improve.
@@bbh5415 lol no one except tommy has said they think he can be a world champion. Both Wade and sensei predicted him to get koed so I don’t get how his defense was worse than they expected if that didn’t happen

Facts, sickness, hurt arm, Jet lagged ( even after been in country for over a week before fight night ) Tommy out boxed Jake plain and simple to many people was expecting Jake to land the right hand and Tommy to fall, but Tommy got hit with the right and smiled and Jake had no plan B all Plan A simple
Do you guys even listen to these guys talk or come up with shit immediately in your head? I can’t tell you how many time Wade has said not only in this video but other ones as well it wasn’t close on points and he doesn’t understand why it was split or why that one judge gave it to Jake. 100% Tommy out boxed Jake on the night. I’ve watched all of Tommy’s fight and he has never looked this switched on, he was there to win and he did. I will tell you one thing though Tommy didn’t negate everything from Jake. Jake got him a lot of times when Tommy was making his mistakes. Lastly this show is for them to tell there thoughts on the night and there thoughts on the fighters and well it might not be what you want to hear or the may just see things differently then you do 🤷♂️ that’s the show.
Jake's been exposed for only having 1 shot. That's how he's beat majority of his opponents who've been inexperienced/older, when the overhand right doesn't land, he's not much
As far as the 10 point round system it wasn't that close, tommy didn't get knocked down it would have been 7 rounds to 1 as tommy was winning the round before the kd and won the rest of the round, the only full round Jake won was the 3rd , and it wasn't clear either
You got a great read on how the fight would go granted. @@thebreakdownSW yeah the analysis of Tommy's psyche was accurate on your part. I'm just saying I'm a bit confused on why you base your pick on that rather than your damn near perfect breakdown of the boxing skills and physical attributes at play. Maybe my perspective is a bit warped bc I follow the MMA picks community closely and it's bit of an unwritten rule there that when the skill/physical attribute pendulum swings one way you never mix in things like psychology or mental toughness or 1 punch power factor. Most recent example I can think of is Oliveira's reign where everybody was picking against him for being a quitter and not tough enough. Good job on the vids though love the content and it's all love on my part.

It makes you wonder if jakes hitting kind of a halt when it’s coming to his massive leaps of improvement like he’s not learning and gaining anywhere near as fast as he was when he was fighting Nate Robinson and gib, so these massive jumps in skill every fight like we used to see from him are kinda just gonna be a lot less noticeable
I guarantee hes a lot better than he was in his last fight vs AS. He underperformed and made far too many mistakes vs a solid fighter with a decent skill-set in Fury. Styles make fights.
He is, but I think that has more to do with his team. I mean their whole game plan seemed to be launching overhand rights until he catches him and knocks him out. Jake has shown some decent fight iq before, idk what he was was thinking in this fight.
@@damiencruz8798 the jab was surprisingly working pretty well for Jake. He should have been jabbing a lot more, would have opened Tommy up for those bigger right hands.

Crazy how y’all can say Tommy lost some of his reputation…. Any pro boxing fans were already meh bc he was taking on an influencer. the big difference is Tommy has gained a TON of credit with the influencer boxing scene. I understand you guys are probably hoping to one day work with Jake and his promotion as commentators (or at least trying to keep that path open), but it felt like very little credit was given to Tommy here and so much given to Jake. I think they both had good and bad parts of the fight, but Tommy dominated Jake throughout almost the entire fight. While some of it can be attributed to Jake not having some of the skills to take on a guy like Tommy, a lot of it has to do with Tommy having boxing skills and being able to effectively use them to negate Jake’s strengths. Tommy took Jake’s right hand, kept him off with the jab, etc. I love you guys and your takes usually, but this one felt like you were trying to give Jake credit without giving Tommy any credit.
The problem that Jake faced in this fight was that he dealt with getting countered a lot, something he didn't have to go through in his previous fights. When he fought Woodley and Silva he would throw punches and miss some big ones, leaving himself wide open but woodley and silva were slower and they wouldn't capitalize on those openings when Jake missed. In this fight with Tommy however, Jake finally had to go through that experience and it was completely new to him. He was not expecting to miss his over hand that much and get countered with the flurry of punches which through him off his game and rhythm and made his game plan fail
No, your expectation of tommy Fury was that he was gonna lose..... I think that's why people are kinda of going after yalls calls because you keep saying, "we still got it right." No, your call was jake and Jake lost. Tommy's feints and "hugging" made Jake freeze and tired him out. Tommy would beat every RUclips boxer, and that's what you guys should be saying is that there are levels to this. Tommy's fundamentals are BETTER than every RUclips boxer. Fundamentals are what kills newbies.
The meal tables at boxing happens in the UK aswell. Mainly seen at the small shows across the country, cause with big shows it's all about using all available space for seats to fill out
The fight wasn't close at all, nor closer than we thought it would be. At best Jake won 2 rounds, the knockdown was a flash knockdown. It's not a knockdown where Tommy actually got hurt and went down, he went on to dominate that final round. Just give Tommy his props. 23 yrs old, just had a kid and had way way more pressure on his shoulders than Jake. He outclassed Jake in that fight, and showed him what happens when you fight a proper boxer who is also similar age.
If Jake is serious about boxing the KSI fight makes no sense, just wastes time. Sure, he’ll make a ton of money, (if that’s what he wants, then cool), but all it does it say “hey, I fought a real boxer, lost, now look I beat another RUclipsr!!”. If his goals really are to be a pro boxer you go win the rematch against Tommy.
Guys Jake loosing has nothing to do with Jake’s mistakes, he was just not as good Tommy, at a very young age with the world on his shoulders and he still basically then dominated the entire fight
damn how the times have changed, it went from hating jake to downplaying what the guy who beat him did and basicaly seeing everything that happened that night as a postive for jake, jake was right he didnt lose.
Facts these d riders now I see people saying “Tommy couldn’t KO a RUclipsr”. Those were the same ppl who said Jake is a real boxer now and that Tommy couldn’t KO a taxi driver
@TsG Rapiidz some people are just born to hate. Though i doubt those are all the same people. Many of them are just trolls aswell. Half of jakes fanbase is just trolls that like to bait imo.
Jake calling people who said he would lose “casual” is wild. But my mans in the black must be in JP’s payroll. This boy was throwing punches with his head down, he was clenching, and he was tired after round 4. It’s right there on tape
Jake saying Ksi only throws windmills that's what Jake was doing pmsl head down throw windmills to hope they land, then he even tried to do what JJ did vs Temper the mini jumps pmsl
Your kidding me right for the past 2 years both of you said tommy would lose and now your saying it shouldn't have been as close as it was... come on now.. dude went past 4 rounds for the first time showed he was good under the pressure and his cardio held up... the reason jake didn't follow up is because he was cautious and scared that he could be stopped.
Wade sits the fence like he’s scared of any backlash he’ll get from any either side and it ruins his analyze. He needs to understand he can’t please everyone.
Jake has an issue defending combinations, he’s good at blocking and evading the first and second punch that his opponents throw but everytime Tommy threw a three or four punch combinations those final punches would land because Jake was just covering up and moving back with his eyes closed. If he doesn’t fix this he will never be able to beat Tommy
Paul the Disney Tap Dance Problem Crothfruit really hasn't worked out the boxing fundamentals in five years like other cab drivers do! Pretty Boy Tommy Fur from Love Island proved that like a boss. High Five!
This really reminds me of the conor vs diaz arc Conor lost the first fight and he wanted an immediate rematch for redemption and conor was better prepared for diaz in the second fight and won the fight. Jake lost the fight against Tommy and wants an immediate rematch for redemption, and tbh this sets up a bigger fight than the first one, just hopefully Jake trains harder and fix his mistakes from the 1st fight and wins.
Why aren't they pointing out jake power didnt scare tommy or fazed him at all. Its not jake could hit him there were times it hit but it didnt fazed tommy which is why i think jake started getting demoralized on his plan
Didn’t faze tommy? You forgetting watching the replays after every round? Jake HURT tommy but Tommy HIT Jake. In those replay’s you saw each time when Jake landed a big shot, Tommy’s eyes go back and forth like it’s pinball in his brain. What Tommy did well (that wouldn’t work with a more experienced boxer) is start throwing a shit ton of shots just to get the opponent off him so he couldn’t get completely put away.
Internet: *spends years shitting on Tommy while simultaneously laughing at the idea of him winning* Tommy: *wins* Internet: *makes everything about Jake*
I feel like y’all just glazing jake and downplaying tommy fight was not close at all dude got outbox damn near all the rounds by 2x the least wasn’t even a split decision either and all that constant clinching jake be doing is what slowed the fight down cause tommy could of been get a finish
Jake fights Tommy again he is going to get beat worse I think Tommy will be even better in the rematch I think Jake is who he is he will be the same fighter in the second fight.
to talk on jake looking flat and missing opportunity, i do agree he left it all in camp, and he also came out and said hes been sobering up, changing his eating, and that probably is why he claimed he was sick during camp. tommy won the fight but hopefully jake can be more prepared on the rematch, jake has all of the tools and preparation needed to take a W.
i love wade but this breakdown is way too biased towards jake, jake got schooled basically the whole fight other than some moments. tommy showed he was the better fighter by a lot, like it’s been said there’s levels to this. it wasn’t that jake underperformed he just simply was schooled and beaten by a better boxer. give tommy his credit he had so much pressure on him and managed to keep his cool and outbox jake almost the whole fight.
The ref was awful. Jake should always try to get Kenny Bayless for every fight like Floyd does. There's a reason Floyd doesn't like getting different refs every time. It's because he knows Kenny will stay out of the fight as much as possible and will even allow clinching and holding and will say "work out of it.. come on punch your way out" and will break them but he gives the fighter's the opportunity to get themselves out of a hold. Kenny Bayless is one of the best for staying small and out of the fight
i think jake needs to stop bringing friends into the back room or even bring friends into his boxing life. his friends aren’t yes men but they are distractions and you can see it in jake bts of the fight. i hope he learns the boundaries from life and battle.
“Tommy didn’t do anything special.” He didn’t have to do anything special. It doesn’t take anything special for an experienced boxer to beat someone like Jake. That’s not an insult to Jake. He just started a few years ago. All things considered, Jake’s better than he has any right to be at this point. Tommy had better volume, longer reach, consistent pressure, and better fundamentals. He was better at all the “little things”. That’s all it takes. Jake was fighting someone his age with more experience and was found lacking. His opponent wasn’t hesitant like Woodley or slowed down by age like Silva. Jake fought someone who could actually punish his bad habits. Also how was Tommy worse than you expected when he won 6/8 rounds and you literally predicted him to get stopped? Come on man.
Obviously this wasn't brought up in your discussions but I thought it was relevant a bit. Everybody talked about how Tommy was not supposed to celebrate and all but I think its stupid to judge him. Everybody knows what happens when a fight involving Jake is being announced. Its few months of hell for the other guy but because of the cancellations, it was 2 and a half years of hell for Tommy. He won that fight however way you want to see it and should be allowed to celebrate but every RUclips channel's knocking him for celebrating against a "RUclipsr". His own family said they would disown him if he lost to a RUclipsr. He was the underdog coming into this fight considering he has been fighting for like 15+ years. And the whole selling point was the massive name vs the 3 year boxing RUclipsr when that wasn’t true at all. Jake has been locked up in a small country w all the money in the world. tommy said he purposely fought bad against anthony taylor in tyron woodley 1 to get the jakw fight...
Breakdown boys I love you, but come on
There is so much bias for Jake and not enough credit for Tommy.
True

Tommy isn’t a novice bud he’s got many years in the game an is undefeated 8-0
You're right 2 or 3 months definitely isn't enough, he needs to fight traditional boxers in the coming months to reach Tommy's level or at least somewhere close to it.
Just say you don’t know what novice means
Everyone saying "Tommy was expected to win, It should not have been as close as it was" are the same people that were betting Jake to win.

they arent wrong tho..tommy has been boxing for 14 years bruv compared to jakes 6.

Damn, a rare L for the breakdown boys.
Making excuses for Jake. Tommy did better than what most people expected.

High Five!
This really reminds me of the conor vs diaz arc
Conor lost the first fight and he wanted an immediate rematch for redemption and conor was better prepared for diaz in the second fight and won the fight.
Because they biased. Its obvious lol
Facts. Plus Tommy’s jab threw off every chance Jake had to land combos or get a power right

@@hassemaster3343 Lol, dude you has a wild imagination. Tommy ate his punches.
I cant lie dont normally see this from the breakdown but there is such a obvious bias against tommy
Internet: *spends years shitting on Tommy while simultaneously laughing at the idea of him winning*
Tommy: *wins*
Internet: *makes everything about Jake*
The real reason he lost is because Tommy is a level above Jake. Saved you a click
I feel like y’all just glazing jake and downplaying tommy fight was not close at all dude got outbox damn near all the rounds by 2x the least wasn’t even a split decision either and all that constant clinching jake be doing is what slowed the fight down cause tommy could of been get a finish
Jake should have fought an old boxer then a boxers his age old mma to young boxer was big of a jump😂
Wade how can you say that Tommy was exactly as you expected when you said Jake was gonna win by stoppage and he instead got dominated
I love this channel
The fact tommy won just by a jab and fought absolute bums...jake really has a long way to go.
The real narrative: Jake lost to a boxer. That's it, THE END.
Jake fights Tommy again he is going to get beat worse I think Tommy will be even better in the rematch I think Jake is who he is he will be the same fighter in the second fight.
This the type of breakdown Jake Paul would watch 😂😂😂
Now there’s no point in Jake Paul fighting Viddal Riley
Not like there ever was 😂 That Anis Taj guy he recently fought would destroy Jake.
Why sensi seems more bothered than jake lol
the look on jakes face when his counter right was getting countered was priceless.....he was prolly thinking Tommy that aint in the contract XD
I love you too man lmaoooooo😂
to talk on jake looking flat and missing opportunity, i do agree he left it all in camp, and he also came out and said hes been sobering up, changing his eating, and that probably is why he claimed he was sick during camp. tommy won the fight but hopefully jake can be more prepared on the rematch, jake has all of the tools and preparation needed to take a W.
idk. If Tommy didn’t get cocky and keep his right hand up idk if jake’s skilled enough to set up an opening
Also I feel like Jake was expecting what most of us were. For tommy to gas for tommy to have a glass jaw for tommy to crumble under pressure.
“Accurate as absolute as anyone else about picking the fight..” uuurrmm except the most important part 🥴
Yes.. which we also acknowledge lol
Jake’s gonna have to start using his spars to learn instead of treating them like a fight to win
i love wade but this breakdown is way too biased towards jake, jake got schooled basically the whole fight other than some moments. tommy showed he was the better fighter by a lot, like it’s been said there’s levels to this. it wasn’t that jake underperformed he just simply was schooled and beaten by a better boxer. give tommy his credit he had so much pressure on him and managed to keep his cool and outbox jake almost the whole fight.
Even Logan's calling Tommy out for inappropriate celebration after that idiotic comment he said about the Fury family in the middle of the fight. Whack situation
How can you have the wrong pick but say you predicted the fight to a tea? That's massive cope
Tommy had a chin. Simple as that. Jake is not as good as ya'll think.
Cause Tommy is a better boxer.... that's it
Shout out to George Reece, Logan held and uppercut KSI then hit him when he was down 🥊
I would love to see the rematch but I’d want Jake to have a fight in between it, without messing up the ksi fight ya know
