he never changed his mentality. it's in his nature this thing is hard to shake off. it's the concept of predator and prey mindset. a fight or flight response. and dejis first response when he's in a tough situation is freezing and giving up. the only reason it seems like he's changed now is because he hasn't faced a good opposition in his last fights and didn't need to dig deep but trust me, the moment someone shows a good resistance against him we're gonna see the exact same scenario

i remember the whole build up. at first jake didn't want to box ksi at all. He first offered him to fight his dad. then he offered to do an MMA match but ksi obviously declined. then logan stepped up and accepted ksi fight and then jake is like oh im ready to box now but since my brother is already fighting you how about i fight your brother Deji.

In this fight Jake adopted a Philly Shell like stance something very similar he had in his last fight. It doesn't suit him imo he looks much better with the traditional guard.

In my opinion Deji's performance against Jake is highly overrated because if you rewatch it you see Jake beat him up every round and people seem to forget Jake stopped him it didn't get to a decision.

Also if these two were actually the same size this fight would’ve been VERY competitive
true. logan was so flashy in his first fight. i think he would've won if he concentrated more and not just try to flex on him mid round.
also i think both brothers' fights panned out in another contrasting way: deji had his best chance of beating jake in their first fight, while it was logan who had his best chance of beating jj in their first fight. but in the second fight, jj became an animal and logan got scared. though deji and jake didn't have a rematch, i think the result would be pretty obvious of that though, lol.
basically, deji and logan had their best chance to win in their first fights against their respective opponents. after that, it wasn't going to be the case like that ever again.

Jake weighed in at 181.9, Deji 174.7.. it’s the lightest Jakes been and if memory’s correct a cut they stopped early he was meant to be below 180 but was nearly hospitalised and his stepdad & mom stopped the cut

If Jake really wants to go pro he should consider taking a permanent cut to 175 though cause there’s no way he’d hang with high level cruisers.
