How To Love Like Jesus! (Loving Like Jesus)

How to love like Jesus is a video where we are "going to look at a new command that Jesus gave in John 13:34-35 where Jesus said that his disciples were to love one another as he has loved us and that by loving like that everyone would know that we are his disciples. Since this is a new commandment that Christ Jesus is giving and not a suggestion his disciples need to take it seriously. The Greek word that Jesus used for love in this verse is the word agape, which means unconditional love. That means that Jesus' disciple are never to attach an "if" to their love. This kind of love is also to be sacrificial. Loving like this will cost his disciples. It's not that ocean of emotion or that quiver in our liver kind of love. This kind of love will cost you. Ordinary Christians who are fully devoted followers of Christ and want to wholeheartedly obey this command will need to follow Jesus' example as shown in the gospels. In order to shine the Light of Christ brightly in our part of this dark world will require us to learn how to love like Jesus.

To love like Jesus should be the highest goal of every Christian. And in order to accomplish that goal Ordinary Christians will need to learn how to love others better by learning how to love like Jesus. Francis Chan in his amazing book, Crazy Love, talked about the importance of learning to love better. If the world is going to experience the love of God they will experience through Christians learn how to love like Jesus Christ. Through the sacrificial love of Christians the lost will learn of the sacrificial love of Christ and God our Father.

Hi! Just found your channel, i needed a sermon like this, so thankyou very much. I feel as if I understand love better, however I don't know how it practically looks - getting more and more like christ. Like should you just pray? Or should you look at how jesus treats others (in the gospels) and be mindful of them, trying to mimick him? Thanks again. i've subcribed and liked
