Assalam Alaikom, thank you for this video, I just want to mention that although Al Ghazali s Ihya olom addeen s a great book but it also contains lots of inauthentic hadeeths that have been pointed out by ppl of Hadeeth .
@@BloggingTheology thank you
...Maulana Qasim Nanotvi.....eat so little...that his companion wondered does he eat at all.......
There is no problem when Hadith is mentioned but not as Sahih......
YOU AREN'T ANYMORE BRITISH.....
Was watching this while eating sandwich. I ended up only eating half and saving the rest for later 😅

May Allah SWT bless you and keep guiding you on your path to meet him. As a muslim born, I feel so happy to see new muslim brothers and sisters joining us in pleasing Allah SWT and winning his satisfaction.

Wow, now things are clearer to me. Thank you, Mr. Paul William; you are a blessing to the ummah. I was born a Muslim, and no imam or sheikh has explained this in such a way. The ummah is suffering from many illnesses of the body, mind, and soul for not being taught this. We all eat like gluttons when we have access to food. There is an epidemic of type two diabetes, heart problems, strokes, cancer, etc., and it also affects the spiritual heart. Many of the sheikhs and imams are overweight. We are eating too much sugar and carbs and not enough fat and protein because of false health guidelines that say meat is bad and carbs are good.
The sunnah is the cure for mankind. Islam has taught me that less is more.
True 👍
That's Iman alghazali's explanation of how he attained the reality of the divine presence ...
Careful to generalize when claiming that the imams and sheikhs are overweight and overeat. This is a stereotype and cultural misnomer.

Assalam Alaykum dear brother Paul. This was absolutely amazing. Jzakallah khayran for making this video.❤
wa alaikum assalam!
The Prophet (saww) is reported to have fasted twice a week and three days mid lunar month.
Amount of food can be determined by keeping at the lower level of a person’s BMI or more specifically by measuring visceral fat using a DEXA scan, which also measures bone density.
Extremism is not encouraged, the Prophet (saww) taught moderation and discouraged extremism. Famous example from the Prophet’s (saww) life is of those who fasted on a journey and were unable to help in setting up the tents. The Prophet (saww) praised those who had conserved their energies by not fasting and were helpful.
May Allah bless you and your efforts, brother Paul.
Ameen

Dear Paul Williams........I watched this video of yours.......3 times....in a row......
My uncle...elder to my father was a Hakeem...( tabib.. )....he has to discontinue his practice in 1947...due to turmoil of partition.....He used to practice with some of the well known Hakeem of His time...(..INDIA...).....
He thought me that...abstinence is the best medicine....at that time...along with some medicine...2....3.....4....doses.....they advice the patient to do faqaa....(..skip the meals....is the rough translation.......)
May Allah bless you brother Paul. Wallahy I enjoy your videos and thank you for your time. May Allah SWT reward you jannah.
How simple and digest to receive great instructions from a brilliant lecturer through translation and good practice.
In Arabic , same content doesn't convince enough , due to diction deficiency and langage complexity.
Thanks and Salam .
This is a great video. Very inspiring. Thank you brother!
Thank you
Thanks, Paul. It was insightful and an 26:11 important guide to spiritual happiness.

I opened the video so quickly , i thought you were wearing a cowboy hat 😂😅🙃😜
😆
God bless you Paul
Every time the name of the beloved prophet is mentioned the heat aches and eyes flow with tears .May you find a happy life here and the hereafter.
God bless you Mr for the work you're doing.
Thanks for reminder.
I will go back to fasting Monday and Thursday.
I heard that a person begins to decay from his/her stomach/intestines in the grave which proves the words of our belowed prophet who said that the worst vessel to fill was the belly. If we followed this culture of consuming, there would be no hungry person in the globe as gluttony is destroying all the natural resources. Assalamu alaykum dear brother from the land of Al Bukharii.
wa alaikum assalam
jazakallahu khairan brother
What a beautiful video, may Allah bless you my dear brother!

Omg that was so interesting, I’ll wait more reedings of Islamic writings, like Al bukharis khadis. 👍🏽
We use the Mudd measurement in our local markets, though we pronounce it as mood.
As-salaam-u-alaikum Paul - what a wonderful reminder and explained clearly.
PS - new room?
May Allah Bless and Reward you in this Life and in the Hereafter.
Please do more videos on this book 🙏🙏🙏‼️
We have been discussing this all day. Now we understand this to a great extent, especially the hadith were the Prophet SAW saw a group of youths and said anyone who cannot get married let him take to fasting. The idea is fasting is a tool to assist an unmarried adult from committing adultery. For many years we had been thinking about how fasting assists to overcome sexual desires but we couldn't come up with anything logical. Now we fully see the answer.
Thank you Paul. This has answered our question for so many years on the recommendation of fasting to bachelors. Posted the video to many friends, it was a real enlightenment to all of us.
May Allah keep protecting you, vive you more wisdom and knowledge, and guide us all to Jannatul Firdaus. Thank you very much indeed.
Alhamdulillah
May Allah strengthen you

Wonderful
Salam Alaikum brother, it is a pleasure to listen to you. For me as a Muslim you are one of the main sources that I revive my Iman with.
Truly fascinating. I feel this is a direct message from the Almighty to me. I've just indulged in food so much, and I know from experience, everytime I'm so full, all I want next is to satisfy my sexual desire or and sleep. So, I have decided to curb my desires by reducing what I put into my stomach. Grateful to Allah for putting this video on my way. I think it is going to change my life.
Alhamdulillah

Very very important that experts Muslims who did great job with dealing with old problems that they faced during their early days of becoming new Muslims to address them in videos like this because it will be a great sources for new Muslims to have a taste of what may occur to them and also it would be very beneficial if someone was struggling and find these videos, it can be like a solution to him or her and they may match it with their situations and they may understand that it is not a problem that they are facing them alone and it is a common thing that many and maybe all or there is who is going through the same thing so they don’t feel they are alone and they can benefit of how to deal with the problem from learning of videos like this which gives the solutions or suggestions or the way that worked with this expert so he could pass and survive from the problem and solve it or it can be a beneficial video that gives ideas or things that can help somehow in any aspect.
In conclusion, these kind of videos are really a blessings and making so many of them with solutions and experiences can be very great sources for new Muslims and even born or old Muslims.
Allahumma barik Tabarakallah
I cannot comprehend how 'faith' and gluttony seem far too often to go hand in hand. Our most prosperous nations are filled with those celebrate their copious amounts of food and dinners while so many of our ummah go hungry. Far too many severely overweight persons in positions of 'lm and power. Let us return to the words of Allah (swt) and the practice of our Prophet (s).
More videos like this.

Brother Paul , I admire your honesty with yourself and your ability to convey your thoughts with unbiased dogma and with such precision that you became an ikon for new reverts and for those who are still making up their minds . However I don’t find your choice of the book of Imam Algazali an appropriate one because he is known for his harshness It is his personal opinion and his choice Actually there is also another gate for paradise called the gate of Thankfulness where a believer gets a gift from Allah and he remains thankful for the rest of his life and even enjoys more gifts in his life Chosing either of those paths is purely your choice Believe me I have met so many people who really enjoy suffering, it is their choice Thus portraying Al Gazali point of view to represent Islam would be unfair particularly to those who are hesitant They already have enough problems to embrace Islam, with their friends family and so forth (you certainly know that better than I do)This is stated clearly in Sura 28 verse 57 ( they will say that if we were to follow your guidance we would be eradicated from our grounds)So don’t you think that following prophet Mohamed‘s advice would be more prudent in the Hadith (the religion is so meticulously articulated, hence embark in it slowly I swear in the name of Allah that anyone who tries to match religion, meaning to seek perfection in all his deeds, will be beaten) So take it easy, and do what you can Allah is tolerant and generous and if he notices good intentions in your heart He will accept you even award your incomplete deeds with full reward This is called ( Gibran in Arabic) Prophet Muhamed was not harsh at all in fact he was always cheerful I recall a story when a man came to see him and he was stunned to see the prophet playing with his grandsons The man confessed that he never did that because he thought that it was disrespectful Prophet Muhamed answered him ironically that it was not his fault that the poor kids of this man had been given a father with a stony heart
Please elaborate on Ghazaly, Paul. Especially because some people accuse him to cause islamic civilization to halt. I guess a discussion on tassawuf and ibn arabi also necessary as well.
It has always been difficult for me to fast but that is because of type two diabetes and insulin resistance. Since starting a ketogenic way of eating my hunger has lessened significantly. I now eat one meal a day and feel completely satisfied. Not thinking about food continuously gives me more time to feed my spiritual hunger.
I pray to Allah to keep you, my self and all Muslims on the straighten path of islam to end....
الله اكبر و لله الحمد ، لا إله إلا أنت سبحانك
Alhamdoulilah brother I have often wondered how could our beloved prophet Muhammed sas eat so little and achieve so much. The Quran also mentions in surah Bakara that fasting is good for us even though we do not understand the reasons why. Through imam Gazali I also understood that the stomach was out enemy because it gives us all lowly desires. And to control the stomach you can control other body parts, discipline them and aslo be more productive. Do I practice it. I eat less, only one time, cut down sugar and am trying to get closer to Allah. Have a long way to go still to discipline myself. Please keep us in your dua 🤲🏼
Mr. Paul, can you please upload this book by Gazzali in the description box? I mean, the pdf version?
Muslims born outside Muslim countries are struggling to be moderate in food and drink consumption and it’s an important topic and it could be universal tackled problem and for government and schools changing their approach to consumption and education will be key. Great topic, thank you
Imam al ghazali was wonderful.
I read ihya ul uloom
When Allah created desire (nafs) it is only subdued by hunger.
Paul. Peace brother
The Mudd (pronounced like wood) is a handful of an average person, like Pr. Muhammad (pbuh).
In the last paragraph and elsewhere in the discourse “the sojourners” are those seeking purification of the soul through asceticism and additional religious practices.
Also the word Allah is correctly pronounced Al-Law-h.
❤
The irony of me getting a McDonald's ad while watching this
White reverts shouldn't feel pressured to adopt the culture of others. They should integrate their customs and traditions.
Mr Paul , might you know of Mr Mufti Menk??? He also has a channel on RUclips. He is a absolutely wonderful and Godly Minister. I am a devoted Christian and I know Mr Mufti Menk is a devoted Muslim. And I find very little differences between his preaching and ours!!! Wishing you peace and good health 🙏🙏🙏
